Later, reactivity became a major issue, as well as going after our cats. He needed a total overhaul. From the moment I spoke to Susie, I felt a connection. My husband and I aren't rich by any means and yes, the initial evaluation cost wasn't cheap, but that peace of information as well as peace of mind we gained from her, was worth every penny we invested. It's made us see our dog differently. Knowledge is definitely power. She touched on his separation anxiety, and also explained how nutrition plays an active role in behavior. We were sickened to learn what was actually in his dog food. She worked on his reactivity to knocking at the door, and within the first session Dakota had already begun catching on not to bark and go at the door. I was impressed. But the most impressive thing was her work with him being around one of our cats. Before she left she had both eating side by side. Never in a million years would I have believed that possible. Don't get me wrong, there's a ton of work to be done on this, but it's a start, and we know that he's now capable of "playing nice" with our cats and it gives us hope that one day we'll be able to grant Dakota freedom around them once again. When Moana's that's "mow-ah-nah" dog mom contacted me for cute little puppy pics, of course I said "Yes" right after I squealed with delight and we quickly secured a session on the calendar before she got any bigger! The sun was shining, the flowers were in bloom and Moana romped and played and we caught it all. At the viewing and ordering appointment, Brenda had a hard time narrowing down her favorites because Moana's just that cute, but we eventually got there. She decided on ordering two plush blankets one for her and one for Moana's bed along with a digital negative package which is presented in a handmade reclaimed barn wood box with a metal print on the cover and a 5x7 print of each image inside along with a USB drive with all the high resolution digital image files. For the first three weeks of their life they are under hour supervision. Females are all assisted during their delivery, and carefully watched prior to their delivery date. Beginning at 3 days of age and continuing until 16 days of age, we engage our puppies in Early Neurological Stimulation exercises. Our retrievers have been exposed to many different people, animals, flooring, ground types, sounds and smells. They are exposed to the many different activities that take place in a household with multiple children and many visitors. This is all done in an effort to provide the retrievers with well rounded experiences to help prepare them for your home. This is the initial stages of potty training your retriever. Approximately four weeks of additional positive training placed on your puppy. Our retrievers are able to demonstrate several actions prior to going to their new home. They are trained to demonstrate an Automatic Sit for being a friendly greeter.
