Abi is special needs and with a unique connection to animals. She called to Mambo when he was less than a week old and still blind. He crawled feet across the floor to her a distant adventure at his age. From that moment on he preferred Abi to his own mother, often refusing to nurse off unless Abi's hand was on him. For the rest of his life, Mambo was inseparable from Abi. Of course, Mambo didn't remain a puppy for long.Mambo grew.Here's John at four hugging Mambo at under a year old. It's an important distinction between straight Johnson or Bully type American Bulldogs and "hybrid type" American Bulldogs. The "hybrid types" still achieve the heavier weights, but gain clear breathing and much better stamina. American Bulldogs like to play.John with Doc at 9-months. At this age, dog, boy and sisters had a blast. The kids would lay on the tile floor holding a leash and Doc would run them around, sliding across the floor. Doc truly loved playing with the kids. Many dogs tolerate kids, but I haven't met a well loved American Bulldog that didn't genuinely enjoy the company of little kids, forming deep and lasting bonds with the children in their families. He can catch a football, crunch up a soup bone or swallow a sock or a toy, so be sure to pick up the laundry and toys! This breed is not suitable for full-time crating and cages, but do okay in apartments with daily walks. Train them early and they'll be fine. Young Adult Puppies.Mambo, Doc in the rear and Pete on the right, all at or just over lbs. Pete was smallest of the litter and just look at him. He's a pound dog and can leap easily to the roof the roof of my Dodge Durango sitting on 31 inch tires a bit over six feet. Shortest dog in the litter at .Doc is also a regular flying Bulldog, but not the mischief maker Pete is. Pete was our Dennis the Menace, always into stuff, digging holes, pretending he wants to fight, but then when someone turns around snarling, throwing himself dramatically onto his back in surrender, only just teasing them. Pete is just too funny. Doc and Mambo are big fun, but a bit more serious. Not properly socializing these dogs is tantamount to attack training them. Poorly socialized, carelessly trained dogs are a high risk liability LIKELY to bite strangers in an effort to control them by forced herding and attack. Bulloxers are gentle and affectionate hybrid dogs known for their loyalty to their owner and family. However, they reach maturity at a slow pace and may behave like untrained puppies for years. The Bulloxers, which are also called the American Boxerbulls, can live for about nine to twelve years or even longer. Bulloxers are large and muscular dogs. Their coats come in three colors, which are brindle, fawn, and white. So you need to have a vacuum cleaner handy and brush it for a few days a week. Keep it on a daily exercise routine that can satisfy its cravings for a physical challenge. The combination of two strong-headed breeds can make for a hybrid dog that is hard to handle. However, the Husky Bulldog responds well to positive reinforcement. The American Bullsky may be prone to hip dysplasia, cherry eye, and cardiac diseases. It is also unadvisable to let the Bullsky live in a hot environment. The Corgi American Bulldog mix is a sweet companion for families, based on the temperament of the two parent breeds. The Corgi mixed with American Bulldog will have a high energy level, which means that owners need to take them on long walks or hikes until they tire out. The American Bulldog and Corgi are both moderate shedders, which should tell you about the amount of shedding an American Bullcorg will have. It may go from standard, which leans to the Bulldog side, or the toy size, which is from the Poodle gene. The American Boodle may have short to medium length coat with a wavy texture. Because of its Poodle genes, the hybrid dog may require constant grooming and brushing. American Bulldoodle need training and socialization as a puppy. They often get attached to their owners and may feel separation anxiety when left alone for a long period of time. Find an American Boodle breeder who subjected their dogs to testing for genetic disorders. Bulldog Shepherd puppies are hard to find because only the Dog Registry of America recognizes this hybrid-dog. You will need a brush that can comb through thick and long hair for its weekly grooming. When untrained, the dog loves to play biting games, which might feel unsafe for owners and their families. The American Bulldog Beagle sheds heavily, but its short coat makes it easy for owners to groom. American Bulladors are eager to please and ready to learn, which makes it quite easy to train them at an early age. The American Bulldog and Chihuahua mix, which also goes by the name of American Bullhuahua, is prone to dental issues. It is essential to keep its diet to grain-free kibble that can sustain its nutritional requirement. The American Bulleenie boasts a thin coat that will need weekly brushing and bathing. While its thin jacket is short and soft, it can shed occasionally. The American Bulleenie is a highly sociable dog. It loves spending time with its owners. It remains cautious around strangers because of its Chihuahua genes. It engages in hunting activities, police watches, and military work. Its height ranges from twenty-seven to thirty-five inches, while its weight strolls around to pounds. The American Bulldog crossed with Great Dane requires daily brushing to reduce dead hairs. It needs high-maintenance grooming from its nails, ears, and teeth. Due to its size, the American Dane requires constant training to maintain a healthy lifestyle. However, its low energy level limits its exercise to two to three walks per day. The American Chow Bulldog cannot handle extreme weather because of its dense coat. The Chow American Bulldog mix is fierce and protective of its family. However, its low energy level makes it hard to train. The American Chow Bulldog require fifteen to thirty minutes of daily exercise to maintain a healthy lifestyle. It does not like getting scolded and does not respond well to physical harm. Training an American Bernese requires patience and understanding. The Moutain Bulldog needs about four to five cups of high-quality dog food a day to keep up with its active lifestyle and high energy level. Teaching an American Bullypit requires the proper knowledge of raising the energetic breeds of both parents to make sure that the behavior emerging from the training is appropriate. It may become too oppressive and might need to be away from children and other pets. The popularity of Pitbull Bulldog mix in the s was because of their aggression and how they treat other dogs in crowded animal shelters, making it a controversial crossbreed. The eyes, ears, and teeth of a Bullpit require constant checking for infections. However, it is a low maintenance dog when it comes to grooming. Notes on Mom: I'm crazy about Darkus, just because she's so sweet, and so gentle and child sensitive like my Bella was, but will still go roaring to the front door in the middle of the night if something seems not quite right. Like my Fly, Darkus is also just a fantastic mother to her puppies, with lots of milk, lots of patience, and doesn't become emaciated when she's nursing. This pic of Darkus was taken just the other day, less than 10 days after her puppies quit nursing, and she's already nearly all the way snapped back and tightened up again. That's a very healthy mama trait we really like around here. Dry mouth and no eye leakage whatsoever. Slim and streamlined as a serious running dog, but with hard, rippling muscle as the traditional southern catchdog he is. He's sweet, intelligent, very laid back and mellow, but a solid home protection dog nonetheless. Boogie's attitude with both strange male people, and strange male dogs is if you don't want none, don't start none, let's just be friends.But if you do want some, we call him Bad Boy Boogie for a reason. Boogie will light you up right now - on command, or self-initiated in protection scenarios. He can also do better than a 6' standing jump, move faster than the human eye can follow, and gladly run full out for miles. In that pic below Boogie is crouching, watching a raven eating his dog food that he's crept up on quiet as can be. When it saw him and flew away, Boogie jumped straight up in the air and caught it mid-flight. It's unreal how many ravens this dog has caught in flight, and then the Raven was dog food. Like I said, the quintessential Scott type American Bulldog. About the Litter Generally: The litter is happy, healthy, friendly -- mom being a purebred Johnson type American Bulldog, dad being a purebred Scott type American Bulldog. If you're simply looking for a great pet dog for your family, there's really no reason to favor one over the other. They're all great with kids, well socialized and very laid back and mellow. So while they are Hybrid type purebred American Bulldogs, bred between Scott and Johnson types, most look like straight Scott type American Bulldogs -- longer noses with much better breathing than the Johnson types, good streamlined structure built for speed, and very athletic. Care Intervention: Nope. Nobody required any special aid as infant puppies. Nobody presents any form of special need or health concern. All puppies are highly robust, active, and strong. Differences between these puppies is subtle, the darker colored ones having only very slightly shorter noses than the others, but still clearly very athletic Scott type noses and bodies. High Elevation Lung Capacity: Blasco puppies also all have higher adapted lung capacity than most puppies - making for true athletes, if you wish. We're at over 9, feet in elevation so all of our puppies share this same advantage, being unusually long winded little brutes. It's why Olympians train in Colorado Springs, and our location is way higher into the clouds than Colorado Springs. A proper dog house and some straw are fine if you're wanting a dog that will spend most of its time outside. We hope that's not what you do. The White Dog Question: Understand, while it is true that some only some white breeds of dog, some Dogo Argentinos, some American Bulldogs, most Spitz and other breeds of white dogs do sometimes have difficulty with sun, that is not the case with these dogs, or their parents, or grand parents. All of them have been out in blazing sun for over a month, at over 9, feet, in Colorado that has over days of sun a year, puppies being tested to assure that there are no sun issues. There aren't. They love the sun. No problems whatsoever. All of them male and female will finish out at right around 24" to 27" inches tall at the withers measuring from ground to top of shoulders , with the boys taller and thicker than the girls. However, both mom and dad carry the genes for larger dogs, so it's technically possible you could get a genetic throwback to that and end up with a pound dog -- probably not, but still possible. Regarding life expectancy, assuming good protein uptake, exercise and good general health, 15 years is fairly likely. They are all very sweet, already really love and enjoy kids, and all are very, very smart, making for easy training, and years of deeply bonded relationship. Fact is I always say that we don't breed dog park candidates, and in this case, I'm thinking I actually might have. They really are just unusually sweet and laid back for American Bulldogs that tend to have a bit more edge coming from my yards. Send deposits quick, make appointments, or you may be too late. We commonly give short notice like this to help weed out potentially well meaning buyers who may not have the financial ability to properly care for our dogs later. I figure that if you can get a couple grand up fast to buy a puppy, you can also probably pay for a potential life saving measure later, should the dog tangle with a mountain lion, or swallow a toy Tonka truck or something. As usual you're not going to see photographs of puppies with pink bows stuck to their heads, or snuggled with Teddy bears. The pics are for the sole purpose of showing their excellent structure, balance and active life vitality and these pics do that, so please do not ask for more pics. He's smart, handler focussed, and thoroughly small child socialized. His nose is just a hair shorter than his brother's below. Activity who loves to play. I mean they all love to play, but this guy is just a bit more active and playful than the rest. He'd love an active lifestyle, hiking and whatnot, a dog sport, a job, anything really. He's thoroughly small child socialized, smart, handler focussed, and likes to party. It's not a health issue in the least, just a show dog thing making him worth a little less in the show ring. You don't even see it most of the time. I mean it's at its worst in the first pic, but try finding it in the next three. A mellow girl and also very smart and handler focused. She's just a very flashy girl sure to turn heads and start conversations her whole life, and she also really likes little kids. She's loving. She likes kids. She's very smart and handler focused. And she's the best watchdog of all the girls in the litter. Gentlemen, if you've agreed with someone to get a female, actually wanting a male for a bit more proactive watchdogging, this girl is for you, the good Lord apparently granting you the perfect compromise. Mellow and sweet, but also a stand up girl. As it is, she still looks a lot like her mom, a very dark mahogany brindle, and same extra mellow temperament. And I'm telling you, this girl wants to learn to do tricks for you, a true look-at-me performer. She's smart and really does want to perform. Set up a social media page for her, teach her a new cool trick every week, and she'll soon have more followers than many humans. It's in no way a health issue, just a show dog thing, and you don't generally even see it but in a few positions. Smart like all the others. Handler focused like all the others. But she really, really wants to lay with someone on the couch. If you had another lonely dog, perfect match. If you like sleeping with your dogs, perfect match. If you want a dog to sleep with a child, perfect match. However, where they are all very smart, this girl is the smartest. I mean she was watching tv as if she understood the movie plot when she was 4 weeks old, as all her brothers and sisters just looked around wondering where the wierd noises were coming from. She'd make a simply fantastic therapy or hospice dog with little to no effort, and you could train her for anything. I've caught her watching human conversations closely, clearly trying to pick up on English, and she soon will. She's also the largest of the females with slightly more masculine features, so again, guys, if you were secretly wanting a male, here's a legitimatley good compromise. We will reschedule your pick up day if funds have not cleared in time. We used to use United Airlines United Pet Safe exclusively, but they no longer ship the "bully" breeds at all. As far as we know, nobody else does either. Also forget the idea of bringing a Blasco puppy into the cabin of a plane with you as a "comfort pet" or similar. Our puppies are just too big for that. You shouldn't either. It's an airlines thing and we hate it too. This of course also means that these litters are only being offered to the lower 48 states - no international deliveries, no Alaska or Hawaii deliveries. Again, sorry. We keep them that long on purpose. This is a best practice issue for the puppies themselves as well as a service to you, their new owners. If you want that, let us know and we'll handle it. If you're wanting to fill a wall with silver and gold foiled registrations for your dog and brag that it's registered six times over, or actually compete in the events of multiple registries, go for it. Breeding dogs from a diversity of registered bloodlines - It's better for the dogs - it's better for the breed

They will want to be with you. Have a crate or bed next to your bed for at least the first few weeks while you get them into a Puppy night-time routine. Here is how to get a puppy to sleep through the night. Alone Training Teaching your Pug puppy that they can be totally fine being left alone can be done with stuffed chew toys, time and patience. Remember to do it slowly to avoid any stress! Toilet Training Training Practically every website you read may tell you that Toilet training your Pug puppy can be a challenge. As with alone training, start sooner rather than later. Of course, if they run into any birds, butterflies and hear planes flying over, it will be great for them to get acquainted already. Have fun gathering surfaces with different textures for them to explore, like synthetic grass, tiles, and soil. Use treats! Remember to use lots of treats and praise when training. They love making your tail wag! Repeat their name to them a lot in the first week, so it really starts to click. Recall — How to teach your Pug puppy to come back when called — This is important for safety. Pugs generally stay close, but they can be very friendly and want to run up to people and other dogs for a bit of a cuddle, so a good recall will always help. But they can enjoy fetch games on a smaller scale, get on the floor and interact and play with your Pug puppy to learn what they enjoy. This will help to avoid resource guarding. Husbandry Tasks Pugs love affection but should be handled with care. Be mindful to not treat them like toys. Not going to blame children to think they are toys though — the resemblance is uncanny. To do this we want to teach them that hands will do nice things to them so use plenty of treats when handling your puppy. Week 2 — Training your Pug puppy Week 2 already! Pug Exercise Overview Exercising your Pug plays an essential role in long-term health and is a vital part of overall care. While you must take care when exercising your little guy or gal, by no means should you avoid it or be afraid of it. A sedentary Pug is an unhealthy Pug. The key is to find the right balance. The Benefits of Exercising a Pug There are many reasons to keep your Pug active: 1 It helps maintain muscle tone which in turn promotes good posture and proper support surrounding the hips and knees. Since this breed is prone to elbow dysplasia, Legg-Calve-Perthes and hip dysplasia, this is a very relevant benefit. Exercise Restrictions for Pugs Pugs can and should be exercised every day. However, there are some restrictions to keep in mind. You will want to avoid: 1 Excessive exercise when under 10 months old. This is a time of rapid growth and very excessive exercise can affect growth plates, the soft areas at the end of bones where cells continually divide, allowing bones to properly grow as the pup matures into his adult size. Once growth is complete, the plates close. If a puppy is put under too much physical stress, there can be damage to those plates which can lead to malformed or shortened limb s. Normal walking and play are not considered excessive. You will want to avoid lengthy full-out runs or forcing activity when a pup has reached his limit. This breed is prone to bloat. During an exercise session, breaks should be taken every 15 minutes or so; but, should be halted if a Pug is struggling to catch their breath. Age to Start Exercising a Pug If you just brought home a new puppy, you may be very eager to start taking your Pug for walks around the neighborhood or head out to the dog park. However, Pug puppies should not be brought out to public places for exercise until all puppy shots have been given. This is typically by the age of 12 to 14 months old. You will want to confirm this with your Pug's veterinarian. This should be a light to moderate cardio that slightly increases heart rate and keeps a Pug's body in motion. This can be greatly extended for Pugs that are healthy and enthusiastic to stay more active than this. With precautions in place, a Pug can go for an hour walk or more and there can be 3 to 4 exercise sessions per day. Exercise frequency and duration can be adjusted as needed. Weather including hot summer days or freezing winter days can affect a Pug's tolerance for outdoor activity. It can help to split up exercise sessions into shorter intervals, for example, four minute walks as opposed to two minute walks. And, as a Pug transitions into the senior years or if there is a develop of hip or joint issues, exercise may need to be scaled back. In most cases, there is never a valid reason to completely stop exercising a Pug since remaining sedentary often leads to a wide range of health issues. Going for walks is the most traditional method of ensuring that a dog meets their exercise requirements and for good reasons. There is always a Point A and a Point B which gives you both a goal and helps ensure proper duration. And, unlike free-running, intensity can be adjusted by you, as you see fit. This is another excellent way to keep a Pug active. This refers to a controlled physical activity session, often with alternating short bouts of cardio and rest. The classic game of fetch fits into this category and is a good choice since most dogs find it to be very enjoyable and it helps strengthen the owner-dog bond. In addition, fetch can be played both indoors and out, making this perfect no matter the weather. Tips for Walking Your Pug By following some easy guidelines, you can take your Pug for walks knowing that you are allowing your dog to reap the benefits of exercise in a safe manner. When exercising a Pug, breathing-related issues must always stay a top priority. And, the accessories that you place on your Pug play a huge role in this. Collars place pressure and tension against the windpipe which can severely impact a Pug's ability to breath. Each pull on the leash or lunge to the side puts compression on already stressed airway structures. Avoid this by using a harness. There are different types of harnesses including step-in and pull-overs, straps and vests. Some dogs naturally know how to play and others need a bit of time to catch on. Here are some tips to keep this a fun and beneficial activity. If this is going to replace a walk, set a timer for 15 to 20 minutes. The more animated you are and the more you let yourself laugh, the more your Pug will want to chase after the fetch toy and enjoying bringing it back to you for another go. Even if your Pug can't catch the ball in the air or is a bit confused about what to do, your encouraging words will keep things moving along. Therefore, a Poodle does not shed in the traditional sense of canine shedding. Because the hair can contain varying amounts of dandruff and some people can have allergies to that. In addition, all dogs have allergens, these are microscopic dander elements. The Poodle, and other dog breeds such as Schnauzers shed from their skin approximately every 21 days, thus greatly reducing the amount of allergens that could trigger an allergic reaction.
