An F1b is known as a second-generation mini goldendoodle with the pups mother being already an F1 Goldendoodle and the pups dad being a mini poodle also. So the difference between F1 and F1b is that the mom is not a golden retriever but an actual F1 Goldendoodle. They also have very soft curly hair but with almost no shedding. Buy a larger crate so that it continues to comfortably house your dog as they grow. A full-grown German Shepherd needs space to stand, sit, lie down, and stretch. Not to mention, turn around with ease. And most inch crates come with a wire divider for keeping your German Shepherd puppy in a smaller area as they potty train. This can cause joints and muscles to stiffen. An area too small can lead to tightness and stiffness, increase anxiety, and cause long-term joint damage if excessively used. But an area that is too large just takes up extra space. Contrary to what others may say, a puppy or smaller dog will go into a larger crate. You can easily use this metal divider to block off an area that is too large if it bothers you or your German Shepherd. Miranda Trimpey--Mocha--Wisconsin 6. June 30, The puppies are all using the dog door to go potty! This is always a nice change for us when they start taking themselves out to the bathroom--so much less cleanup work! They all have their little puppy teeth and are doing great eating solid food. They still nurse a couple of times a day but Ginger is gradually weaning them. They are so fun to watch as they play and learn to use their sharp little teeth. They are learning to sit to 'be polite' and they will become more proficient in their interactions with each other as they take fewer naps during the day. They still prefer nursing but they will switch over to solid foods within the next week and a half or so. They are doing well with potty training and almost always use the litter tray in their box. They are just about ready to move to the bigger pen where they will start using a dog door to go potty outside. June 14, Ginger's babies are three weeks old! This week they have become more and more stable on their little legs and they aren't gaining weight nearly as fast as they have been. They have started to interact with each other and they stay awake for longer periods of time every day. Ginger no longer sleeps with the babies. They will get better about using the potty area as they get more stable on their feet and then they will move to the bigger pen where they can start using the dog door to go potty outside. Next week they will start trying a little bit of water and goats milk and next week they will start weaning. We are continuing to interact with every puppy every day as we follow our early socialization program. These babies are doing great! This week they started to open their eyes--their eyes are still cloudy and they won't be able to see well until they get to be three to four weeks old. Their hearing is just starting to develop as well. They spend their time eating and sleeping and occasionally creeping around their little box. However, these glands have minimal cooling capabilities. The number of sweat glands in dogs is inefficient in maintaining normal body temperature. Without an efficient set of sweat glands, Goldendoodles pant to cool themselves. Panting when engaging in exercise or play allows heat to be released in exchange for cooler air. Aside from physical activity, dogs may pant because they are happy and excited. You can see this in the happy wagging of his tail coupled with bright and happy eyes.
