Conclusions I asked the experts — when to start grooming a Goldendoodle? While I had a fair idea of when I would first start grooming a Goldendoodle puppy — I decided to ask the experts! I sent the following short survey to four Poodle Mix breed groomers, two Goldendoodle breeders, and 8 actual Goldendoodle owners. I then ran a poll on a Goldendoodle owner Facebook group and verified the results were consistent. There were four simple questions that we asked to find out when to start grooming a Goldendoodle Puppy. How old should a Goldendoodle be for first grooming What age should a Goldendoodle start being shampooed? What age to start cleaning Goldendoodle ears? How often Does a Goldendoodle need to be trimmed in its first year? I then asked for any special comments, some of which you can see in the results below, supporting what we found. As always thank you to our experts — we are thrilled our panel was willing to answer our surveys and help us out. Here are the results! The experts mostly agreed that a Goldendoodle should be first groomed around 5 months of age. A pie chart of the expert survey results showing how the experts recommend when to start grooming a goldendoodle puppy. The breeders trended a little higher, recommending first grooming around 7 months of age. The owners and groomers settled at 5 months. Everyone mostly agreed around 5 months of age is the first time to groom a Goldendoodle. The primary reason for this is that around this time most Goldendoodle will be shedding their puppy coats. It is also around this time that you will get a clearer picture of what type of coat your Goldendoodle actually has. This will influence the frequency and cost of grooming over the lifespan of your Goldendoodle. Straight coats shed a lot more but are lower maintenance. Wavy and curly coats are low to no shedding but require more frequent grooming. There are lots of sounds, sights, smells and touching that a Goldendoodle needs to get used to. The earlier the better they feel about grooming when older. This is great because Goldendoodles can get stinky. There were four options to select from. Many owners use puppy shampoo for the first year or two. This is especially true if they have a super cute teacup or toy miniature Goldendoodle. It varies dog to dog! Depending on the generation and coat type of your Goldendoodle , this can be subtle. For others, it is a very noticeable change. Our experts recommended 5 months and older for grooming because Goldendoodle tend to be in the start of the puppy coat transition at this point. This only refers to a whole body trim, as a hygienic and comfort trim of the paws, eyes, and around the butt are safe and common. The change is so minor in some wavy coated Goldendoodle that you will not even notice it. For straight hair or curly, it can be a significant difference in softness. Cutting the Goldendoodle puppy hair at the right time around 5 months plus gives the easiest foundation for soft fur and easy maintenance. An exception is if your Goldendoodle just ends up too dang shaggy before they hit 5 months. Some Groodles just have fast growing hair! It is unavoidable for such dogs to have a full body trim earlier. Conclusions You should start grooming your Goldendoodle early to get them used to the procedure. The first full groom will come around 5 months of age. This is an ideal time as the Goldendoodle puppy coat will be shedding. A Goldendoodle puppy cut and coat trim will keep your puppy looking and feeling fresh. It is very possible to figure out the type of Goldendoodle coat early using these tricks. Before we talk about the different haircut styles and variations in lengths available for Goldendoodles, we need to talk about their different hair types. These kinds of hairstyle that leave a mane and a tight clip on the rest of the body are a fun hairstyle, ideal for hot summer months. Kennel Clip for Goldendoodles If you or your dog hate the brushing process, or your Goldendoodle just loves to spend time in the woods, in a lake, in the mud, or anywhere except indoors, a kennel clip may be your best bet. This is a great summer cut because the short hair keeps your Goldendoodle cool. You can add a poof to the end to give them a flag tail, give them clean feet, round feet, or add pom poms. It all comes down to your personal preference and whether those areas are matted when you take your pet to the groomer. Make sure you discuss these areas in detail with the groomer at drop-off. Final Thoughts The best thing you can do for your Goldendoodle puppy is to start brushing them as soon as you bring them home and take them to the groomer early and often so they can get used to the process. Goldendoodle puppies should have their face, feet, and potty area trimmed as soon as possible to get used to the grooming process. Goldendoodle puppies will likely have their first full haircut between 6 months and 1 year old. Introduce your Goldendoodle puppy to daily brushing as soon as you bring them home. Use a metal comb to run through every inch of your dog after brushing to avoid missing tangles and mats. Make brushing part of your daily routine to prevent painful mats from forming. Find a groomer early and stick with them to ensure a lifetime of success with grooming. Puppy Grooming: First Haircut When should a goldendoodle puppy go to the groomer? What do you do? The first trip to the groomer Your puppy has hopefully! She should have already had her initial introduction to her lifetime of being groomed. Either a cordless dremel or nail clippers can be used for this, whichever you prefer. But most commonly, they have wavy hair. Those with curly hair resemble their Poodle ancestry. Those with a straight look appear more like Golden Retrievers. The latter is far easier to groom. Speaking of grooming… Length After your dogs latest trip to the groomer, how long should you wait before scheduling their next visit? Mark it on your calendar, every six weeks about does the trick. Most Goldendoodles will have regrown everything in about three to four months. Both Poodles and Golden Retrievers have longer coats. While Labradoodles could have a shorter coat, this is uncommon in Goldendoodles, if even present. All in all, a Goldendoodle is a great pet for owners with allergies. While there is no such thing as a truly hypoallergenic dog, Doodle breeds shed far less than most and are quite allergy friendly. Many Goldendoodle parents may note that their puppy's coat quickly fills with fluffy clumps as a result of this. This is a definite indication that the shift has begun for your dog! Your Goldendoodle puppy's fur is thickest at three months old. It's possible that your puppy's coat has grown to its full potential and is very well-colored at this time. Your Goldendoodle could start to lose its puppy fur and develop an adult coat between the ages of 4 and 8 months. Depending on the exact kind of fur, this process may be slow and scarcely perceptible, rapid and evident, or protracted and difficult. The color and texture of their pelt can also vary. Don't get too depressed if your puppy's fur lasts past the age of 12 months; some Doodles may continue to shed puppy fur. We mentioned earlier about grooming. While most breeds you can take to the groomer at about 12 weeks, you probably want to wait until this six-month mark to shuffle them to the stylist. This will allow most of their puppy fur to be shed. When a puppy is 6 to 10 months old, the silky puppy coat often begins to shed gradually. Your Goldendoodle will continue its gradual transformation from puppy to adult coat by the age of one. Any shedding should be minimized, and if a suitable grooming routine isn't put in place at this time, you can have issues with knots. First, the adult coat becomes stiffer and more curly. Over time, you will notice that the coat is not as soft as it used to be. Most of the time, the color will usually lighten as the dog ages. They will grey just like we will. There are a handful of reasons for changes at this age or, sometimes, younger. If your dog is one that loves daytime romps, the sun could bleach its fur over time. This is natural. Diet and nutrition can affect their coats as well. A lack of vitamins could cause them to shed and matt. You might be allergic to dogs, but your dog could also be allergic to you. Or other things too. If they do have allergies this can affect the color, texture and volume of your puppy's coat. See your vet for best practices about how to assist your dog in these instances. Inherited or communicated diseases can also affect your dog's coat. Again, your trusted vet is best suited to formulate a plan of action for managing the situation. The same goes for grooming your senior pup. Older dogs need to be treated with a bit of finesse. Have that same respect for your dog. Especially those over the age of about ten years or so. If they have arthritis, for example, be aware of those areas on their body. But what happens during the time in between hair care visits? You can even take things step by step and demonstrate how easy it can be. Keep things light. Keep things fun. Shampoo and conditioner of high quality are viable options for special treatment. There are other, less expensive options as well. When they are true puppies, you want to only wash them when they start to smell. What will really help is brushing your puppy on a regular basis. Popping out the brush once a day or every other day is recommended. Brushing their hair less than once a week will almost definitely spell disaster. You can trim things up here and there as well. Where are some trouble spots that will need to be considered when grooming your pup? These might be found at the base of their tail, beneath their ears, and in the area just above their armpits. Don't forget about the back of their haunches and elbows. The best way to learn is with hands-on experience. Ready to get your Goldendoodle today? Goldendoodle Puppies at weeks old. Their coats are fluffy and getting thicker. The pup in the middle will be the first to need the hair around his eyes trimmed. We are not being paid or compensated to advertise these. These are just items we have research and added to our grooming set up. Here at Rainfield, we have puppies whose coats range from quite curly our F1bb or some F1b puppies to shaggy wavy coats our F1s and some F1bs. Goldendoodles take a couple years to get their full and final coats, so their coats will change and transition during those first two years. They usually start off pretty fluffy with baby fuzz underneath. Gradually the curlier doodles get more of a curly, poodle-like coat, although usually with looser curls that a poodle. The shaggy wavy coated doodles, get a longer, fuller, straighter coat, often with a little curl in it. In our experience, curlier goldendoodles need their first actual grooming experience a little earlier monhs old than the shaggy wavy doodles months. Two different coat types. Marcus the Great is an F1 doodle and has a shaggy, wavy coat. Princess Neely is an F1b Mini Goldendoodle puppy. She has a beautiful curly coat. Get Your Puppy Started with Weekly Grooming Maintenance Regardless of the coat type, before you start full-on grooming a goldendoodle puppy, they need to get used to regular brushings and the sounds of the grooming table blowers, clippers, etc. Go ahead and blow dry them a little bit after each bath. If you have clippers or beard trimmers, turn on the clippers and let your goldendoodle get used to the sound. Bring the clippers close to their fur in different places, their head, legs, feet. Give your doodles dog treats while the blower or clippers are going so your doodle develops a positive association with those sounds. Brushing your goldendoodle puppy at least once a week is very important. The earliest grooming a goldendoodle puppy needs is often an eye, ear and sanitary trim. When their hair starts getting in their eyes, or fuzzing out their ears, and when poop residue starts clinging to their fur near their butt, your doodle is ready for their first light grooming. Amber is a 5 month old F1 Goldendoodle Puppy. With our puppies that often happens at about weeks of age. You can either take them to the groomer to get this done, or, if you are more of a DIYer like we are, you can do this at home. A little trim around the eyes, a light buzz on the inside of the ears with a small trimmer like this one and some scissor clipping around their potty areas might be enough to tide you over until their coat is thick enough for their first official grooming. Just be careful because doodles can be bouncy. We use safety tip grooming scissors that have rounded ends for the areas around their face. A scissor clip will even her coat out a bit. With that nice coat, we want her to be used to regular grooming and the grooming table as well. Our doodles seem to need their first grooming at about 5 months old, but puppies with an especially thick, full coat, may need it sooner. Puppies with thinner coats, may be able to go longer than that. We do most of our own grooming, when possible. We prefer the longer, shaggier look on our goldendoodles, so we prefer to start with scissor clipping when grooming a goldendoodle puppy. Scissor clipping is all Amber needs for now. A grooming table makes all the difference. We use the large Flying Pig Brand. Grooming a goldendoodle puppy takes skill, but Violet 16 has learned her grooming techniques by watching Youtube videos. Amber feels good and looks so much cleaner and neater after getting all that puppy fuzz off. Dogs with long ears can have more ear trouble as the hair grows and gets trapped in their ears. Once this happens, moisture is retained and yeast and other bacteria can become a problem. Part of your weekly grooming maintenance should be checking their ears and using an ear wash. We use Zymox Otic and use that for 3 or 4 days. Brownie has those long, floppy doodle ears that need regular cleanings to keep yeast growth at bay. Golden Retrievers should not be relegated to the backyard. Goldens who are not allowed to interact with their people can get bored, which causes problems -- digging, jumping the fence, tearing up landscape, chewing the fence, the house, the garden hose, etc. If you are not prepared to let the Golden live with your family, please consider a different, more independent breed. How to Find A Responsible Boxer Breeder in Kentucky Finding a responsible boxer breeder in Kentucky can be very rewarding, but it can also be difficult, time-consuming and stressful. There are many things to consider when looking for a reputable breeder. The first thing that you should do is research. Search online for reviews to see if the person or business has had any issues with previous customers or breeders. If they have, contact these people and ask them about their experience. The more positive reviews you find, the better the chances of finding a good breeder. Also, check out local message boards and Facebook groups — there might be something posted where other people in your area talk about their experiences with different breeders or share information about their favorite breeders to help give insight on who could be a good option for you. If the breeder has a website, look at their site to get a feel for what kind of person they are and how much information they share with their customers. Their website should have pages about their facilities, photos of the dogs and puppies, health guarantees offered on their pups, and more. Remember that it is important to find an ethical and responsible breeder who cares about the dogs and that will guarantee their health. Stay away from calling and asking about prices and availability on the phone. The breeder should want to meet with you and talk about their puppies before giving any kind of price quotes or discussing what is included with the cost of one of their pups. Visit your chosen boxer breeder in person at their location. Talk to the people who work there and ask questions about the dogs and even about themselves You can tell a lot just by talking to people and asking questions, so use this opportunity to learn as much as you can about the breeder. Visiting your potential breeder will also give you a chance to see their facilities and to meet the parents of any puppy that you may take home with you. Look around carefully and ask questions about the animals and what is required of future owners. The breeder should be knowledgeable about the breed, health-conscious, and willing to answer your questions. This includes emailing back and forth or even using video chat so that you can see where the puppies are kept and how other people who have bought from this breeder interacted with them. Price should not be your first priority when looking for boxer breeders in Kentucky. A responsible boxer breeder in Kentucky should be able to give you the names and phone numbers of people who have purchased puppies from them. The best breeders are usually focused on making sure that their pups go home with loving families, so they want to make sure that anyone who buys one of their dogs is responsible. When you do call these people up, ask about the process of buying their pup. If they had any issues or concerns with the breeder, this should be brought up during your conversation. If you follow these steps, you should have no problem finding the right person or place to buy your new puppy from. Meeting past customers will give you a chance to talk to people who have already bought their boxer from this breeder. Talk to them about the process of buying their puppy, and ask if they had any concerns or issues with the breeder in question. There are many Boxer breeders in Kentucky that care about their animals and will only sell their pups to ethical homes. Do your research before you visit anyone, make sure you visit the location of the puppies if possible or speak over video chat , and make sure that all references are checked before agreeing on a purchase or payment. You should ask your breeder the name of the veterinarian they use. You may call and ask for a reference from that vet if needed. A board-certified veterinary surgeon or specialist is a good choice for a dog with orthopedic problems. Hip dysplasia is common in dogs and often requires surgery. It may seem like an off-the-wall question at first because you are just looking for a Boxer Puppy but remember that this dog will be part of your family for many years to come so it is important that he is healthy. The cost of having your Boxer examined by a Veterinarian should not influence your decision on where to buy your puppy from. Although you are excited to welcome your new family member into your home, spending a few hours preparing will ensure that both you and your pup have a safe and comfortable environment in which to play. If you already have a crate at home that you use for traveling or other purposes, this would be an ideal time to introduce him to his new box. While in the cage, give him some toys and treats so he will get accustomed to spending time inside until he gets older. It will also give him a place to call his own and create a den-like environment inside the crate. Try acquiring different types of toys like fuzzy stuffed animals or rubber balls that he can easily pick up in his mouth. Of course, make sure not to leave any type of chew toy unsupervised because accidents can occur if they are eaten by mistake. Since puppies often like to sink their teeth into something during playtime. If the area where he will spend most of his time is accessible to him, such as a bedroom or living room, this would be an ideal place to begin. Remember, patience is a key element to successfully training your Boxer puppy. I love animals and love helping people adopt a pet. It all started when attending Missouri State University and I began volunteering at an animal shelter. With their signature bat ears and expressive eyes, French Bulldogs, or "Frenchies" as they are lovingly known, have captured the hearts of many dog lovers around the globe, consistently ranking among the most popular breeds. Renowned for their easy maintenance and the ability to thrive in apartment living, French Bulldogs are a city dweller's delight. Their small size, typically weighing under 28 pounds, makes them perfectly suited to compact urban spaces. However, their charming personalities and heartwarming companionship are universally loved, irrespective of city or countryside living. This breed's laid-back nature does not mean they're devoid of fun and play. On the contrary, French Bulldogs can be quite playful and are known for their often comical and entertaining antics, which only further endears them to their owners. Their affectionate demeanor, combined with a remarkably low barking tendency, makes them a joy to have around the house. French Bulldogs are sturdy, compact, and stocky, with a powerful muscular build that contradicts their small size. They have a smooth coat that comes in a variety of colors, from fawn and brindle to white and grey. Their facial expressions are human-like, and they're known to "talk" using a complex system of yawns, yips, and gargles. However, owning a French Bulldog does come with responsibilities. Their brachycephalic short-nosed nature makes them prone to certain health issues and less tolerant of extreme temperatures. Despite their muscular appearance, they are not the best swimmers, and care should be taken around bodies of water. We produce all of the brindles in black, blue, chocolate, lilac , fawns and sables in golden, red, blue, chocolate, lilac , creams, pure coats and tan points in black, blue, chocolate, lilac , and pieds in ALL of these beautiful colors! Elvis is an English Creme Golden Retriever. We adopted him when he was 8 months old. He was bred by a breeder from Southern California, but several pups in his litter were born with heart murmurs. Jeremy and I have always had two Golden Retrievers, first it was the sisters Athena and Empora, which you will learn about later, next came Trixie, then Fonzie and most recently Elvis. We were not planning to adopt a puppy, in fact, we decided specifically not to. We lost our dearest Trixie in December of and by February we know it was time to find Fonzie a friend. We contacted Homeward Bound to let them know what type of Golden we were looking for. We wanted a female, pure bred, between the ages of .In fact, it had been an excellent year for Homeward Bound, depending on the side of the fence you were sitting, they had only rescued a few hundred retrievers in .There were literally that few that were being taken to shelters. Great news for Golden Retrievers, not so great news if you were looking to rescue and had a preference. They had two Golden mixes that met our criteria. We decided to go and meet them. When we were at Homeward Bound meeting the Golden mixes available, there was a pen full of puppies out front when we arrived. I was immediately interested, my husband not so much, as he had raised puppies and knew what a handful they could be. We were told the puppies were off limits, and not available as they were still under doctors care. That was the end of that. When we got there, a few of the puppies were still in the pen. We went through the list of ALL available Goldens. I asked to be put on the list, and plead my case as I had adopted three Goldens prior. They told me I could write a letter requesting a puppy and they would let me know. I wrote my letter and crossed my fingers. We were approved and could adopt a puppy. They invited us back to meet the two males puppies that were available and to pick one out. That was so much fun and such a hard decision. They were two beautiful white balls of fluff. They were equally energetic and playful. I wanted to take them both home. Both puppies would make me equally as happy. My husband is very creative, so I told him he should pick the name of our Golden. He had a name already picked out. Elvis, after Elvis Presley, the King. I loved it as soon as I heard it. Fonzie loved Elvis almost immediately. Elvis is a handful. Elvis is full of energy and loves to chew on everything and anything. My four year old grand daughter has a completely different opinion, as his favorite snacks are her toys. She is very good about keeping her door closed tight these days. Elvis is almost 18 months and weighs 85 lbs. He is a big boy. He had a family reunion with his litter mates and was almost twice the size of the others. We feed him the puppy food from Costco, in case your wondering. Putting this blog post together has been a fun way to see his Growth over the past year. Elvis loves to splash in water in his play pool but wants nothing to do with the ocean. Elvis loves to wiggle his way onto your lap, and will gladly crawl into bed with you. Elvis loves his family, and when we have parties he works the crowd for pets and treats. He is less secure in big open spaces, Jeremy often says he has agoraphobia, which is fear of public, and large open spaces. Elvis is the opposite, he is alert and will let you know if something is wrong outside. Elvis likes to travel with us, the first time we took him in the RV he did get carsick a few times but now he is a seasoned pro, and loves to go on road trips. He is sweet lovable and kind and I am so glad we opened our home and lives to this adorable white Golden puppy. Are you thinking about adopting a Golden Retriever? Rescue dogs are not free to adopt but the prices are much less than what you would pay at a breeder and you know the money is going towards an excellent cause of rescuing more dogs. Rescues usually have a full check up, so you know in advance any health issues the dog may have and they are usually on a regiment to treat any existing health ailments. Most dogs will not be adopted out until they are fully treated but you can usually foster the dog. Fostering also allows you to get to know the dogs temperament before you adopt. This is another great feature of rescuing a dog; you get to test drive them to see if they would be a good fit in your home. The foster parent always has the first right of refusal in adopting a dog they are fostering. Contact the rescue, fill out the necessary paperwork, and schedule an in home visit to make sure your house meets safety requirement. This is a good thing, as most rescue organizations want to ensure the dogs are going to safe loving homes. They also do want to know that the dog will be sleeping indoors. We specialize in breeding Mini Goldendoodles as well as a few other breeds. We also have partnered up with several other high quality breeders that raise mini goldendoodle pups that meet our strict genetic criteria and testing. So we usually have a good selection of very high quality puppies. View Our Available Puppies! Not all mini Goldendoodles are equal, there are a few different versions to choose from each having a little different genetic background based on the pups parents. We will explain all the differences in Mini Goldendoodle puppies and how they are bred below. We raise all versions of the mini goldendoodle breed. F1 Mini Goldendoodle Pups. A F1 puppy is also known as a First Generation puppy. The puppies mother is a Golden Retriever and the pups dad is a Mini Poodle. This version of mini goldendoodle usually has soft wavy or curly puppy fur. They will shed until they lose their puppy fur, after shedding they will shed a lot less, but will shed. This version is partially hypoallergenic and usually requires low maintenance. F1 mini goldendoodles usually need to be groomed every 6 months along with daily brushing to keep their curly hair from matting and getting tangled. The dogs usually grow up having great temperaments similar to golden retrievers. They usually get about inches high at the shoulder and range in weight from pounds. F1b Mini Goldendoodle Pups. An F1b is known as a second-generation mini goldendoodle with the pups mother being already an F1 Goldendoodle and the pups dad being a mini poodle also. So the difference between F1 and F1b is that the mom is not a golden retriever but an actual F1 Goldendoodle. They also have very soft curly hair but with almost no shedding. This F1b version is semi-hypoallergenic and a better choice for anyone who has pet allergies. The F1b also should be brushed on a daily basis but will need to be groomed more frequently then a F1. A 6 to 8 week grooming schedule is recommended to keep their coat in perfect condition. F1b Mini goldendoodles get around 18 to 20 inches tall at the shoulders and range between pounds in weight. F1bb Mini Goldendoodle Pups. An F1bb goldendoodle is also known as a third-generation mini goldendoodle. This mini goldendoodle version has a coat more similar to a poodle than of a golden retriever. This is because the pup is more of a poodle than a retriever. Making it the very best version for anyone with pet allergies. A 6 to 8 week grooming schedule is required to help prevent knots or matting. This version is super intelligent and loving, and usually seems to have more energy than the other versions of Mini goldendoodles. This version is usually smaller in size, weighing around pounds and only getting inches tall at the shoulders. The smaller size makes them a great size for smaller homes and apartments. More than twice as many Labs were registered than any other breed making it a likely leader for many years to come. In a recent article, a licensed professional counselor for more than twenty-five years, explained how owning a Lab can help produce healthier, happier, more well adjusted children. Here is an excerpt from her article: The ten reasons that I am giving for children to have a dog are not listed in order of importance. All of us have different characteristics which we find more important than others. Every reason I list, however, is important to the childhood of your son or daughter. Dogs can help children grow stronger. Just by being a part of the family, dogs can help contribute to keeping your children healthier. According to Science Daily, kids who grow up with dogs have fewer allergies and are less likely to have eczema than other children. They grow up with higher levels of certain immune system supporters that keep them in better shape as they get older. School systems report that children from homes with dogs also have fewer sick days during the school year. Another benefit in this area of physical strength is that kids who play with dogs can take falling down and rough and tumble play much better. Although it is a rare mixed breed, but they exist. You might think that it is only possible if the mother is Boxer, but nope. There are some mixed which the mother is Pomeranian. Pomoxer usually has more dominant Boxer personality which is calmer yet playful. The good thing about this breed is it is prone to genetic disorders often found in purebred dog. Pomsky is THAT cute, you might not see any on local shelter like many other mixed breed dogs or mutts. Yes, although it is not an established mix, which may vary a lot in physical appearances, but most of Corgi Pomeranian Mix looks like fox with erected ears, wedge face, and fluffy fur. As cute as it is, Corganian tends to be extremely energetic and… bark! Therefore, it will suit owner who loves to take this little furry ball to exercise daily to drain its energy in house. Some breeders also call it Pomapoo. This is another popular designer dog, mixed of Pomeranian and Toy Poodle. This cute toy dog tends to be very active and requires more investment for grooming as well. Brushing daily and haircut every few months will help you from fur and shedding saga. It is also more popular as single family member and needs supervision around children. It has very little chance to see one at shelters. You may not find one easily at breeders as well, and will cost a lot, if any. It is also very hard to see how this German Pomeranian, its alter name, physical appearance and personality. But one thing that is obvious, this furry friend will require grooming more than German Shepherd and shed. Be prepared for it. It is one of those common mixed breed dogs that you can even find it at shelters. This Beagle Pomeranian is a very loyal, intelligent dog and good as a show dog. However, since it may inherit stubborn personality from Beagle, you may need to be a little bit more patient to train it. It also is better to be with the owner a lot since separation anxiety might be an issue which can affect health and lifespan. The expected life span of Beaganian is around years, a common life span for smaller size dogs. This mixed breed is more a family dog. It does not do well of being left outside alone like a guard dog since Labanian likes to be with its pack. Labrador Pomeranian Mix tends to have a moderate energy which is suitable for seniors that has more time and can put their energy for taking care of the dog and giving it their full attention. Chihuahua Pomeranian Mix, often called Pomahua or Chipom, are mixed of two small dogs. As a toy dog, it is cute that people often treat it so gently, too protective, and this is a recipe of disaster. Chihuahua Pomeranian Mix needs to socialize since early and treated just like other dog to prevent it to become anxious all the time, barking, and biting. It also requires close attention to grooming as Pomahua tends to have sensitive skin. Its fur needs brushing but the owner needs to watch carefully which brush to use and either it causes skin irritation or not. Its characteristic tends to be the alpha, which requires more effort to train them to obey. Chowanian also needs to be brush often since it inherits long hair genes from both parents. Owner still needs to give it baths but also watch out for dry skin issue. It might be wise to buy shampoo specifically for dry skin. This super fluffy and huggable fur friend needs regular exercise, long ones, to drain their energy and prevent them of being destructive at home. It will not be happy to be lying around the whole day. A lot of outdoor activity such as long walk or run is needed. A family that can bring its dog in most of their activity will suit this mixed breed at best. These Australian Shepherd genes tend to play a big role to give unique, distinctive colors of the dog. This dog is not suitable for apartment like Pomeranian, unless the owner gives it a lot of exercise. Australian Pomeranian loves large yard to run around and play. However, a regular inspection and brushing are needed especially after a long day outside. Any kind of debris may latch on its precious fur. It is popular because, of course, its cuteness. The size is small to medium, about 8 to 25 pounds, depends on its dominant genes from parents. Some breeders also call it Dameranian, and it is a great fit for owner who lives in apartment because of its size. A consistent training is needed to prevent barking as this Dachshund Pomeranian Mix has tendency to be a guard dog. Do not forget to check the ears for possible infection as well. It has an affectionate and calm temperament, which are great for being around children and other pets. Although having a moderate energy and like to chill in house, daily exercise will be great to keep them content and tired. As many experts point out: a tired dog is a happy dog. Feeding them is also simple; half to one cup dried food and they are full. Be careful to over feed your dog because obesity leads to many health issues. It suits you who has time and wants to invest a lot for a dog, considering it needs to be brush often and go to professional at least every other month. This will make shedding bearable, although owner needs to have vacuum handy. However, this dog prefers warm temperature and gets cold easily despite of long fur. Cocker Spaniel mixed Pomeranian dog is very agile, and playful. If owner lives in an apartment, daily exercise and playtime is important to keep them content and calm. This hybrid is likely from an artificial insemination due to very different natures of both parents. This mix, which also called American Pomeranian, may result in a moderate energy dog that is suitable for apartment living although requires moderate exercise daily. A raw food diet can be good option to be considered. Be prepared to take it for a long walk as exercise to keep their energy level low, unless it might be destructive in your house. Akita mixed Pomeranian is usually results in an intelligent dog which likes to be the alpha. Therefore, owner needs to be assertive and firm to train and handle it. An accident when someone owns a Blue Heeler and a Pomeranian and they somehow mated successfully. The positive side is, as a hybrid from a very different kind of parents, Bluanian, as it is called, will have better immune system for genetic diseases which are usually suffered by purebred dogs. It is also believed that mixed dog will bring the best characters out from each parents. One thing for sure, a mixed of Pomeranian and Blue Heeler will definitely have erected ears. It is also very intelligent and able to enjoy their lone time although in a very busy situation. However, daily exercise is needed to release its energy and keeps it low in house. It also needs proper training and socialization especially if you see the tendency of being alpha, which is not accepted and can be dangerous for children and other people. A Golden Pomeranian is also very intelligent and tends to have high level of energy. It will enjoy playing outside with you, running around and fetching balls. Well, thanks to the Retriever ancestor. This dog likely has a good manner and easy to train. However, it will shed quite a lot. It sheds more than Golden Retriever although will probably less than Pomeranian. If you want to own one, make sure you have a vacuum handy. This is a very rare hybrid due to very different natures of both parents. Although having a pocket Pitbull or a Pitpom might be a cool idea, but its personality is hard to guess. Therefore, it is recommended for a first time owner not to adopt or buy a mixed Pitbull and Pomeranian. This might take a firm owner with experience to train this dog since early to get a sociable and well-mannered dog. As the result, French Bulldog Pomeranian Mix is a relative easy to find. French Pomeranian is a good family dog. It is an extremely friendly dog. Grooming is also simpler comparing to other Pomeranian Mix. Although it sheds, its shorter hair will make cleaning much easier and faster. French Pomeranian will also need bath but not so often to avoid dry skin. A raw diet might be good for consideration. They are warm, friendly, and prefer licks than barks. Shih Pomeranian is also very witty. It knows how to get attention from its human pack. It is also really good with strangers that the owner needs to watch it extra from being hurt or kidnapped. However, a mixed of Shih Tzu and Pomeranian tends to get jealous easily if you pet another animal. Therefore, it will be best if you only have one dog or train them to socialize with other pets since early. Pomeranian Mix Food Requirements Depending on the other parent of your Pomeranian mix doggo, they can turn out rather big or super small. Than means that you would have to choose their meals accordingly — go only for the or the best large breed dry dog food , as needed. Whatever the size of your gorgeous crossbred pooch, make sure not to cut corners on their nutrition. Cheap dog food means low nutritional value that is associated with the worst dry dog food. If you need ideas on the best dry dog food , take a look at our top suggestions:. Final Thoughts 45 Pomeranian Mixes As popular dog breeds, Pomeranians are favored by many dog lovers not just because of their fluffy coats but also because they are perfect lapdogs. Their puffy appearance and small stature make them instant head-turners. Check out this list of 45 Pomeranian mixed breed dogs that will help you choose the right companion dog for you. This combination produces a dog with a tough streak due to its Terrier roots but also with a sweet, gentle side from its Pomeranian parent. Pomerats are also friendly and affectionate dogs that love being around humans. They are most suited for families with older children. Although already small in size, this Pom mix can even be smaller if they have a toy Rat Terrier parent. Despite their tiny stature, Pomerats are quite bold and fearless. Since they usually try to establish dominance in the household, they need a firm handler that can control this tendency. This hybrid combines the hardworking and fun-loving personalities of its parent breeds. The appearance of an Aussie Pom can vary greatly depending on the more dominant parent gene. They can exhibit solid colors like black or tri-color combinations. The merle pattern is also common to this mix because of its Australian Shepherd traits. They may have blue or red merle patterns over their long or short-haired coats. In terms of temperament, they are generally sociable but wary of strangers. They can get along well with other dogs , given proper socialization. This adorable mix is also called a Beaganian or Beagle Pom. This curious and intelligent dog is always ready for adventures. Although highly adaptable, their high prey drive makes them unfit for households with cats and small animals. Due to their loyal nature, Pomeagles get pretty attached to their owners and may develop separation anxiety if left alone for long periods. As for appearance, they may inherit the more common white coat or, the rarer lavender color of the Pomeranian. Meanwhile, they can also have the iconic tri-color Beagle color or the unique lemon or blue tick coat pattern. The Bichon-A-Ranian, or simply Bichonaranian, is also known for its friendliness and sweet disposition. However, this cross is considered a high-maintenance dog since they require frequent grooming. Despite this, you can expect minimal shedding due to its Bichon Frise parent. They also have a hypoallergenic coat which is favorable for those with pet allergies. Bichonaranians usually exhibit a white coat color but can also have other Pomeranian and Bichon Frise colors. Overall, these designer dogs are great family pets that can adapt well to apartment living and any house setting. They also engage well with children of all ages. This lovable mix between a male or female Havanese and a Pomeranian will surely melt hearts with its charming appearance and sweet personality. As tiny dogs, Ewokians are preferred by apartment dwellers. They are quite sociable and enjoy the company of humans. By giving them sufficient quality time and attention, they make the perfect house pets. Whether you like going outside, playing games, or watching movies, this pup is sure to enjoy these activities. Much like their Havanese parent, an Ewokian has a lengthy lifespan. This means you can enjoy over 16 years of companionship with this little pup. Compared to the other Pomeranian mixes mentioned, Sheltie Poms have an independent streak. This means that they are less likely to suffer from separation anxiety. Despite their preference for alone time, they can still make good lapdogs. A Poshie has a small to medium-sized build with a shiny, fluffy coat to match. They may have an even fluffier coat if they have a teddy bear Pomeranian parent. An Elongated muzzle is also a distinct feature of this active pup. But aside from their attractive appearance, Poshies make excellent watchdogs for the family. They are relatively easy to train, but their herding instincts may require owners to supervise their kids and other pets, especially smaller ones. This hybrid brings the mischievous temperament of the Pug and the extroverted qualities of the Pomeranian in one package. Pug-A-Poms are highly likely to sport the short snout of their Pug parent but may not be as defined. This makes them less prone to breathing difficulties common to their brachycephalic Pug parent. Aside from being fun-loving dogs, you can expect them to be smart and highly adaptable to their environment. They are also good companions for children and other dogs, although they can be a bit wary of strangers and may have barking tendencies. Despite their authoritative attitude, they also have a warm and affectionate side. They are even considered velcro dogs. Due to their bold disposition, Pom-Silks might not be the best choice for first-time owners. They need experienced handlers that can show firmness and consistency during training. Overpampering a Pom-Silk will only result in spoiled behavior that may be harder to handle in the long run. Thus, obedience training must start as early as puppyhood. As for looks, these mixed dog breeds have long, fluffy coats that require frequent trips to the grooming salon. As another velcro dog, the Weeranian is a very clingy fur companion. They can become very attached to their owners, but they can still manage being left alone. Moreover, this tiny dog stands no more than 12 inches tall and weighs around 15 pounds. This makes the Westie Pom an excellent lap dog and cuddle buddy. However, this also makes them susceptible to gaining weight, which can lead to obesity. Regardless of what you call them, these crossbreeds are expected to be warm and friendly like their parent breeds. Since they need constant love and attention, they are best suited for families that can prioritize their well-being and spend a lot of time at home. They are also considered minimal shedders like their Shih Tzu parents. Sometimes referred to as a Jack Pom or Pom-A-Jack, this mix is known for its active and playful nature. Unlike other breeds, the Jack-A-Ranian lives for excitement and energy. They need a lot of physical and mental stimulation throughout the day. Training might be challenging and may require the utmost patience. Furthermore, they are not the best playmates for children since they are fond of engaging in rough play. As small dogs, they only weigh between 6 and 14 pounds. They may inherit the rough, long-haired coat of a Jack Russel Terrier or the thick, fluffy coat of a Pomeranian. This cross showcases the monkey-like facial features of a Brussels Griffon and the fluffy body of the Pomeranian. Even as small dogs, Brusselranians are energetic and require lots of physical activity. They have bright and loving personalities, making them excellent family companions. Despite their independent side, they are surprisingly easy to train. Although they can be left unattended at home, they also need quality time with their owners. Coming from both toy breeds, this little dog can be carried around everywhere and can work well in an apartment setting. Having the sassy personality of the Chihuahua and the cheerfulness of the Pomeranian is an interesting combination indeed. This mix easily gets along with children. However, because of their fragile size , supervision is still needed. Early human interaction and socialization with other pets, such as cats, are also important for a Pom Chi. This will prevent aggressive tendencies such as barking and biting. Since Chi-Poms tend to have sensitive skin, owners should pay close attention when grooming them. Brushing regularly and looking for signs of skin irritation is important, especially if they have a long-haired Chihuahua parent. This hybrid dog comes from a Chinese Crested Dog and a Chihuahua. The Chinese Crested Dog is an intriguing breed mostly due to its appearance. This pup features long and flowy hair around its ears, which is passed on to the Chinaranian. The Chinese Crested Dog also comes in two varieties — hairless and powderpuff. However, the Chinaranian rarely turns out to be hairless. Generally, the Chinaranian mix is a delightful pet. Owners will have very little trouble when training them. However, they should be careful when giving treats as a reward. Chihuahuas are prone to get fat easily, and the same can be said for Chinaranians. Their price and expenses might also be comparable to the Chinese Crested costs. Keeshonds are known as fierce hunters while Pomeranians were initially bred to pull sleds. Despite their historical differences, their offspring share the same gentle disposition they possess. They are also very courageous and agile dogs. Having a fenced yard at home can keep them from running off. Aside from their fluffiness and short stature, Pom-Kees can come in different coat colors such as brown, cream, fawn, black, blue, brindle, grey, red, sable, and white. This mix is sure to inherit the cotton-like coat of the Coton De Tulear and the minuscule size of its Chihuahua parent. Grooming might be challenging but usually manageable. Going to a professional will help future owners ease this burden. This relatively new hybrid is a sweet and friendly dog. You will also be amazed at how intelligent they are. Since they are natural people pleasers, Pom-Cotons are easily trainable. These admirable traits make them sought-after companions despite their rarity. Having one at home will give you an instant soft cuddle buddy. It was developed in the s in the United States by breeders who wished to combine the best traits of the famous Dachshund and Pomeranian breeds. The Dameranian, which is also named Pom-Dach and Pomaweenie, might be small in size but has a brave personality. It can be territorial and oftentimes stubborn. Dameranians can be quite friendly and may attach to one person. This often leads to them being jealous , much like their Dachshund parent. Their appearance is simply irresistible to many dog lovers. Pomaweenies have an innocent expression and shiny coats that can be long-haired , short-haired, or wire-haired. Here is a video of a Dameranian with long hair: Sergeant The Pomeranian X Dachshund Blend They also come in several coat colors and patterns , even dapple and cream , that may be exhibited because of their Dachshund genes. The brave and alert nature of this mix makes it a great watchdog for families. Some La Poms are more laid-back while others may be more headstrong. However, it is evident that they are very trainable due to their eagerness to please their owners. This excellent family dog generally weighs between 7 and 15 pounds and may sport a double coat that needs regular grooming. Your mood will instantly be lifted just by looking at this mix of a Maltese and a Pomeranian. The Maltipom is well-loved for its gentle and sweet nature, along with its devotion to its owners. However, they may have barking tendencies, much like their parents. Without proper training, Maltipoms may exhibit signs of small dog syndrome , a behavioral problem common in tiny dogs. Small dog syndrome can manifest as aggression, growling, whining, and biting. Early socialization with other dogs is advised so that they can be used to being around them. Potty training is also recommended to be taught while they are still puppies. As toy dogs, Maltipoms should be kept away from younger children that may engage in rough play. However, Pineranians will have no problems getting along with other pets in the household. They also respond to training very well and will need a good amount of exercise every day despite their small size. This can be done once the dog reaches 8 to 12 weeks old. Both were also bred for hunting purposes, so you can expect a Pom-A-Nauze or Pomanauzer to share similar traits. This lively crossbreed, which also goes by the names Scheranian and Schnauzeranian, is a perfect addition to families without children. Pomanauzers can also be very feisty and may bark at strangers. This is one of the few mixes that is known to be less attached to its owners. Peek-A-Poms or Pominese dogs are calmer and more balanced, although they still display a jovial demeanor. These mixes are less active and will mostly enjoy staying indoors. As for socialization, you might want to limit their boundaries since they can be too friendly, even with strangers. Small kids should be supervised around them since they are prone to be stepped on or even sat on. Aside from its cute face, one of the best features of the Peek-A-Pom is its hypoallergenic coat. This mix is the best choice for allergy sufferers. This mix is recognized for its outgoing nature and is always up for water adventures at the beach or walks at the dog park. Training a Pomapoo will come as a breeze due to its high intelligence and curiosity. Moreover, their friendliness towards children is another plus factor on why you should get this mix. Its parents, the Schipperke and the Pomeranian, both share the same curious personalities. However, owners should be aware that this mix can be very vocal. This makes them less favored for an apartment setting. Pomerkes can also be a bit mischievous, but overall, they are friendly and outgoing pups. Leash training is important to prevent them from running around freely. They love going on walks and playing fetch, so make sure to set a schedule for these activities. Since both parent breeds have long coats, the Schip-A-Pom will also sport a long, fluffy coat, usually in a beautiful black shade. Despite its tiny stature, this hybrid is surprisingly sturdy and can withstand rough play with kids. Since the Yorkie Pom comes from two hunting breeds, they may have the instincts to chase small animals. Despite this, they make excellent family dogs due to the close bond they form with their owners. However, Yoranians can become overprotective of their owners due to their boldness and may snap back at strangers. This can also help in avoiding spoiled and dominant behavior. If you want this fluffy mix as your next pet, check out our top rescue picks for Yorkshire Terriers and Pomeranians that may offer Yorkie Poms. However, when a Shiba Inu and a Pomeranian are combined, no one can deny the charm of the resulting offspring. Although these breeds have contrasting personalities, the Pom Shi is believed to have the perfect balance of their traits. This makes them great watchdogs and family companions. Mental stimulation and physical activity should be a priority for those wanting a Pom Shi. Without these, they will easily get bored and resort to destructive actions and behavior. With a firm handler, these dogs can become more affectionate and positive dogs. However, this mix between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Pomeranian can be as lively as it gets! Their moderate to high energy levels will always keep owners on the edge of their seats. This also means that they need to match their activeness by coming up with games and setting playtimes every day. Owners should keep an eye on them during walks since they might be inclined to chase birds and other small creatures. Their offspring, the Pom Terrier, is a cheerful mix with a bit of a spunky attitude. Because of this, they may also develop small dog syndrome if untrained. However, you should still balance it out with love and affection to get the best out of your Pom Terrier. With enough patience, these pups will make the best companion for any household. If you seek an energetic playmate, this dog is perfect for you! However, their playful temperament may be a lot to handle sometimes. Consistent training paired with positive reinforcement should help tone down their high energy levels. The Cocker Pom is also not lacking in the appearance department. This cross has the stunning physical attributes of both its parents, sporting the double coat of the Pomeranian and the feathered ears of the Cocker Spaniel. Due to their coats and shedding tendencies, the Cockeranian is a high-maintenance dog, so one must consider this before taking this pup home. However, purchasing one is surely worth every penny. Pomskies are medium-sized dogs that weigh between 20 and 30 pounds which makes them suitable for apartment living. If you want an even smaller variety, you can get a teacup Pomsky which is produced from a teacup Siberian Husky and Pomeranian. This fluffy dog may exhibit a wooly coat texture and exhibit common Siberian Husky colors like black, gray, and sable or rarer ones like agouti and brown. As for temperament, Pomskies are lively and talkative dogs. This means that they tend to bark a lot. From this mix, you can expect a clever pup that loves to have fun! As lapdogs, Paperanians are very affectionate towards their owners, making them good family companions. These dogs will never run short of love to give. Unfortunately, the Paperanian is quite uncommon so getting one might be difficult. This small, delicate pup is also very sociable and gets along well with other dogs and even cats. Moreover, they do not bark as often as other Pomeranian mixes which is great for those who want a quieter dog. Small as they are, Pomimos make effective watchdogs due to their alert and protective nature. Given proper socialization, their vigilant character and barking tendencies can be controlled. Moreover, as much as they want to stay on your lap, Pomimos crave doing outdoor activities. They love running around and playing with other dogs and humans. This makes the Pomimo perfect for owners who also love being outside and doing physical activities. This comical dog is best paired with an owner that can match their goofy energy. They love entertaining humans and are usually very friendly around them. However, despite their fun side, Pomstons may also show a fiery attitude that owners should work on through training. Since this mix is small like most Pom mixes, it is perfect for apartment living. A Pomston can only grow between 7 and 15 pounds. Although usually black in color, Pomstons may inherit the blue and red coats of their Boston Terrier parent. These mixes also shed minimally which is great news for potential owners. This hybrid possesses the favorable temperaments of both breeds. Despite not being as popular as others, the Cairanian has a lot to offer. This mix is smart but also has a lively disposition. They love to play, but they may not be too tolerant of small children. Cairanians also have a long lifespan which is favorable if you want a dog that can be by your side for a long time. Normally, they live for up to 15 years. Due to their compact size, they do well in both apartments and large homes. Both breeds have very contrasting personalities so this mix is not so popular in the designer dog community. Early training coupled with positive reinforcement methods is the way to go for this hybrid. This will help them be properly socialized and become well-mannered. Overall, Pitbull Pomeranian mixes are confident and loyal companions with equally admirable appearances. They have sturdy, compact bodies and cone-shaped heads that resemble that of a fox. Their short, glossy coats come in various colors such as black, fawn, tan, brindle , and champagne. This results in a small, low-maintenance pup called the French Pomeranian or the French Pomerdog. Having this mix as a pet means having a loyal companion for life! However, owning a French Pomerdog comes with great responsibility. It requires patience and consistency in training. Barking is also very common for this mix due to its innate desire to protect. This makes French Pomerdogs decent watchdogs. A smaller variation of the French Pomerdog is also possible by breeding a teacup French Bulldog and teacup Pomeranian. It may also come in beautiful color variations, including black, white, tan, brown, and gray. Merle patterns from the French Bulldog parent are also possible. Much like its Golden Retriever parent, this intelligent mixed breed enjoys fetching balls and playing with children. They are also highly alert, making them great guard dogs for the family. For future owners, you should know that barking and even howling can be expected from the Golden Pomeranian. Meanwhile, one of the most consistent features of this mix is its long and fluffy golden coat. Because it has a double coat, it sheds more than Golden Retriever but probably less than its Pomeranian parent. Despite having very different parent breeds, this mix is expected to bring out the best characteristics of each parent dog. A Bluanian is usually intelligent, hardworking, protective, alert, and at the same time, very affectionate. Because of these traits, many owners regard them as great watchdogs for the family or even singles. Bluanians also inherit the compact body of the blue Heeler along with its short coat. They may sport its iconic blue color, but they can also exhibit Pomeranian colors. This designer dog is also as playful as its name. While the Akita is a quiet and aloof dog, the Pomeranian is quite the opposite. This mesh of personalities makes the Pomkita a great family dog. Even as an intelligent pup, it may be challenging to train. Therefore, an assertive owner with experience in handling such dogs should be the perfect match for the Pomkita. Chasing small animals is also a common habit of this hybrid. Due to the size difference between its parents — the Akita being the larger breed — Akita Pomeranian mixes typically stand at around 24 to 28 inches tall and weigh anywhere between 70 and pounds. Daily exercise in the form of running or walking is simply a must for Border Pomeranians. Dog sports such as agility and flyball are also good physical activities for these dogs. However, they will equally enjoy lying around the house with their owners all day. If left untrained, this pup can be a prolific barker. Since both parent breeds boast soft, double coats, Border Pomeranians are expected to exhibit the same trait. They also come in different colors, common to both Border Collies and Pomeranians. Some may even have a miniature Border Collie parent, which yields an even smaller version of this lovable mix. In most cases, the genetic material of the male Pomeranian is inserted into a female Labrador through artificial insemination. This Pomeranian mix loves being around people and may not do well being left outside. They are easy-going dogs that love nothing more than to be in the company of humans. With this, you can expect that there will be little to no barking in the household. Labrador Pomeranian mixes are loyal and intelligent pups with stunning looks. They may inherit thick, double coats with the colors of their Labrador parents. These include yellow, black, and chocolate. However, as cute as they are, this hybrid of a purebred blue-tongued Chow Chow and a Pomeranian tends to display alpha behavior. This means that owners should put more effort into training them to follow commands. With proper obedience training, they can easily become well-mannered dogs. In terms of maintenance, Chowpoms are considered high-maintenance since they inherit the long-haired genes from both parents. Regular brushing and bathing are necessary. Along with grooming requirements, these fluffy pups need a considerable amount of exercise each day to prevent destructive tendencies. The German Pomeranian is an excellent family companion, especially for those with children. However, they can be less friendly with other dogs. Early socialization is required for them to get along well with other pets and lessen barking tendencies. As for size, GSDs are known to be large breeds, while Pomeranians are toy dogs. With this, you can expect a German Pomeranian to be 14 to 19 inches tall and weigh between 26 to 49 pounds. This Pomeranian and Corgi mix is sure to captivate you with its looks and larger-than-life personalities! Most Corganians sport erect ears, wedge faces, and fluffy fur. They need daily exercise to release their pent-up energy. Trips to the dog park or walks around the neighborhood should be enough to keep them physically and mentally stimulated. Corgi Poms are suited for families with older children. Due to their herding instincts, smaller kids may be rounded up by them, which can cause unwanted accidents. On most days, you may find them doing the famous sploot like its Corgi parent. Pomoxers usually showcase the calm yet playful demeanor of the Boxer. They may show dominant behavior , but this can easily be managed with disciplined training. Due to their big appetite, these dogs might also be prone to weight-related issues such as obesity. Make sure to feed them the correct food proportions every day. These dogs tend to be much smaller than Boxers with the facial features of their Pomeranian parent. As for coat color, they may inherit standard Boxer colors , including fawn, brindle , white , and black or other Pom colors. The table below shows a breakdown of the initial expenses of owning a Pomeranian mix puppy: Type of Expense. Both of these dogs can be friendly but personalities differ, so you never know. Boxer History Boxers are large, muscular, square-headed dogs that are extremely playful and have a lot of energy. The typical Boxer is intelligent, alert, and fearless, yet friendly. He's loyal to his family and loves to play with them, but he's also headstrong, especially if you try to use harsh training methods with him. They are extremely patient and gentle, especially with children. They are high energy dogs and need a lot of exercise. Because of their strength and courage, Boxers have a wide use in the military and the police, as well as search-and-rescue work. When specifically trained for guard work, Boxers are excellent watchdogs and will restrain an intruder in the same manner as a Mastiff. Boxers also excel in obedience, agility, and schutzhund a demanding three-phase competition event that tests the dog's tracking, obedience, and protection abilities. Boxers should not be left outdoors for extended periods of time. Their short nose doesn't cool hot air efficiently in the summer, and their short coat doesn't keep them warm in the winter. The Bullenbeisser had been used as a hunting dog for centuries to hunt bear, wild boar, and deer. They were trained to catch the prey and hold onto it until the hunters arrived. The Boxer we know today was developed in the late 19th century. Lehman of New York. Unfortunately, there weren't many female Boxers in the U. When Word War I broke out, Boxers were enlisted into the military, serving as messenger dogs, carrying packs, and acting as attack and guard dogs. Boxers started becoming popular in the U. Pomeranian History While it might not appear to be the cause, the Pomeranian breed has descended from large working dogs from the Arctic regions. The Pomeranian is considered to be descended from the German Spitz. The breed is thought to have acquired its name by association with the area known as Pomerania which is located in northern Poland and Germany along the Baltic Sea. Although not the origin of the breed, this area is credited with the breeding which led to the original Pomeranian type of dog. Proper documentation was lacking until the breed's introduction into the United Kingdom. A Pomeranian called "Lady", owned by Miss Margaret Hays, escaped with her owner in lifeboat number seven, while Elizabeth Barrett Rothschild took her pet to safety with her in lifeboat number six. Because a mix can inherit any combination fo traits from their parents, you do want to ask the breeder about the other parent breed in the mix. If a Pomeranian Mix takes after their Pom parent, you can expect a small, fluffy companion that is affectionate, playful, and has a big personality. Poms tend to be active little dogs that love their families and are affectionate with them. They tend to do well with children, other pets, and other dogs. They can be suspicious of strangers, but they love attention so will warm up quickly as long as they have been properly socialized. Pomeranians are alert dogs that are prone to barking. If left unchecked, it can become an issue. By training your dog to stop barking early on, you can keep this from becoming a nuisance issue at home and also when out interacting with other people and dogs. If the other parent breed is known for having a similar temperament, then you can expect something similar from a Pom Mix. You do want to ask the breeder about the other parent breed as they will likely have their own quirks. Although the breeder should have started some socialization and training, it is up to you to continue to train and socialize a puppy once you get them home to help them grow into a well-rounded dog. Pomeranians tend to be highly adaptable dogs. They do well in most climates, but are very sensitive to heat. They adapt well to apartments as well as larger homes and do not like to be left alone for long periods of time. If the other parent breed is also highly adaptable, then you can expect the same from a Pomeranian Mix. However, you do still want to ask the breeder about the other parent breed as they are likely to introduce their own set of quirks and traits. Good, reputable breeding practices matter. And, just as a mix can inherit none of the conditions common to their parent breeds, they could also inherit all of them or some combination of them. From the Pomeranian side, potential health concerns to be aware of in a Pom Mix include patellar luxation , hip dysplasia, eye problems, hypothyroidism , epilepsy, and heart issues. They can also be prone to having allergies. As a small dog breed, they are also prone to developing dental disease. So, make sure you are asking about the health and genetic history of both of the parents. You can also ask about any health tests, clearances, or evaluations that have been done. Pomeranians are intelligent and generally easy to train. Even though this also makes it easy to train them into bad habits and housetraining can be difficult, they tend to be a good fit for owners of all experience levels. If the other parent breed is also highly trainable, you can expect something similar from a Pomeranian Mix. However, if the other parent breed has traits that make them more difficult to train, then you will need to be prepared for that possibility in a Pom Mix puppy. A mixed-breed can end up with a coat that is just like one of their parents or a coat that is truly a mix of both. If a Pom Mix ends up with a Pom coat, they will be fluffy, shed a bit year-round, shed more as the seasons change, need daily brushing, and need a monthly bath. Professional grooming is also recommended every weeks for a Pomeranian. Cutting nails once or twice monthly keeps them from growing too long. Weekly ear checks with careful cleanings as needed helps prevent ear infections. Daily brushing or daily use of an enzyme toothpaste paired with cleanings at the vet as needed are ideal dental care for dogs. Poms may be energetic little dogs, but they sit in a more moderate activity level. Daily walks plus some playtime are enough to keep these dogs happy and healthy. If the other parent breed has a similar activity level, then you can expect the same from a Pom Mix. If the other parent breed has a higher or lower activity level, then you will want to make sure you are prepared for that potential range. Pomeranians are usually inches tall and weigh pounds. The other parent breed can have a big effect on this, especially if they are the mother. So, you want to make sure you ask the breeder about them. A Pomeranian generally lives for years. Although the other parent breed may affect this slightly, you should be able to expect a similar life span in a Pom Mix. Featured Pomeranian Mix Article.

Avoid making the mistake of choosing the wrong Doodle temperament for your family, lifestyle, or current living situation. A close up face image of Labradoodle puppy Max The price depends on many factors and can vary from breeder to breeder. While this might seem like a hefty price to pay for a puppy, the low prices that you find on social media or other ads are usually from puppy mills that try to over-breed these beloved animals in inappropriate and unethical ways. Low-quality living conditions notwithstanding, puppies from such places have a high probability of suffering from ailments and issues caused by genetic mutations occurring from rapid breeding. Labradoodle costs around the world In Australia the average prices for non-shedding Labradoodles ranged from AUD. There were some niche breeders that charged much more. Depending on how unique the coat color is, the price will vary. Parti-colored Labradoodles like Tuxedo Labradoodle or Phantom Labradoodle cost significantly more than a solid-colored cream, black, or gold Labradoodle. Sometimes, depending on your location, you may have to shell out extra dollars if you specifically want a multi-colored Labradoodle. Coat texture is another influencing factor. Shiny, sleek coats are more attractive and an indication of a superior bloodline. Hence, they are going to cost more. Curly and wavy-haired Labradoodles will be more expensive than straight-haired ones as they are almost non-shedding and hypoallergenic. Blue-eyed Labradoodles can be even more expensive, owing to their rarity and beauty. Labradoodle Size As they are crossbred, there are no specific breeding standards for Labradoodles. Most breeders classify Labradoodle puppy sizes as standard, medium, and miniature. Toy, teacup, miniature, and maxi are some other terms used to describe the size of Labradoodle dogs. The smaller the puppy size, the higher its price. This is because of the increased demand for smaller-sized dogs. Some breeders have their own standards and classifications when it comes to dog size and weight. While some breeders consider pound dogs as petite, others see them as miniature. Micro and petit are other terms that are used, both interchangeably and independently by different breeders. Usually, petit dogs fall in the pounds range, and micro dogs under 10 pounds. Age Typically, most people prefer buying a young puppy rather than a full-grown dog. Hence, prices are higher for puppies than dogs. For instance, a 6-month-old puppy is going to cost less than a 6-week-old one. A rich Apricot coat Labradoodle at the groomer. Generation Type Another determining factor is the percentage of each parent breed in the Labradoodle puppy. F1B generations have a purebred Poodle and an F1 generation Labradoodle as their parents. While this is a rarer generation, they are cheaper as their chances of being hypoallergenic is lesser than that of others. Generally, F1B Labradoodles are the most expensive generation as they have the highest chance of being hypoallergenic. Location and Demand The Labradoodle breed is one of the most popular crossbreed dogs, a close second to the Goldendoodles. This has significantly increased their value and demand. Dog breeders of bigger cities will have a large client pool and higher earnings. They usually have a hard time keeping up with the demands and hence have to increase their price. Breeders from rural areas have comparatively lower demand and charge less for their puppies. Nevertheless, the demand for low-shedding, hypoallergenic dogs is high everywhere, regardless of the size and popularity of a place. While it might be cheaper to buy your Labradoodle puppy from a rural breeder, you might still have to beat your budget to travel the extra distance or to have the puppy transferred to you. Although the low prices advertised at puppy mills might be tempting, getting a Labradoodle puppy from a reputed breeder is always a better option. Besides being spayed, neutered, and vaccinated, puppies from reputed breeders will also be appropriately socialized. This will make it easier for them to adapt to their new home. Most reputable breeders establish their prices based on their experience, investment, knowledge, credentials, and reputation with previous customers. Some breeders even incorporate training from a young age, and some puppies are potty trained at just eight weeks old. Reputed breeders also have health certificates and genetic records of both parent dogs in place. These certificates are proof that your Labradoodle is in the best of health and hygiene. Other Costs Associated With Labradoodles The preliminary cost of a Labradoodle will be substantially less than the total expenses involved throughout its life. Additionally, you might have to spend more on training foods and treats. Grooming The grooming needs of Labradoodles may vary depending on the type and length of their coat. Although Labradoodles are almost hypoallergenic, they need regular brushing and bathing. Medical Costs Most crossbreed dogs are usually less prone to ailments and diseases. Their larger gene pool also reduces their risk of inheriting diseases. One of the most common health issues with Labradoodle is hip dysplasia. And the surgical procedure to fix this is expensive, which is especially necessary for older Labradoodles. Besides this, there are other health care costs like vaccinations and regular veterinarian check-ups Ohio State Veterinary School source. My Miniature Labradoodle Max wearing a stylish rain coat Avoiding Disreputable Breeders The pet business has now emerged as one of the biggest industries worldwide. Unfortunately, this has also birthed unethical puppy mills, backyard breeders, and online pet stores, who have little to no knowledge about raising and nurturing puppies. Often, unsuspecting pet lovers trying to save some money fall prey to these tricks and end up with an unhealthy puppy with health and temperamental issues. This leads to them spending a lot of money on the treatment and maintenance of these puppies down the road. So, is there a way to distinguish between good and bad breeders and avoid paying exorbitant prices by accidentally supporting these puppy mills? Start by doing plenty of research on the breeder and consciously avoid backyard breeders, pet stores, and online stores. Additionally, look out for these red flags: Unusually low-priced puppies. The breeder refuses to show the living conditions of their dogs and puppies. Adult dogs are kept in harsh conditions and small cages. Puppies seem reserved, edgy, and nervous around people. The breeder has no health certificates of puppies and its parent dogs. Breeder refuses to provide any paperwork. Here are some standards and conventions practiced by trustworthy breeders: They breed puppies indoors and will take equal care of the parent dogs. They offer ample space and freedom to their puppies and dogs to run, play, sleep, and do everything they desire. They periodically clean and groom the dogs. They promote a healthy bonding of puppies with their mother and littermates. They try to gauge if you are capable of raising a particular dog breed. They offer tips and tricks on puppy care and maintenance. They have health and vaccination certificates from a licensed veterinarian. They offer proper legal protection like providing a guarantee for puppy replacement after around 1. Going through previous testimonials and customer reviews is another way of determining the credibility of a breeder. Find out how long the breeder has been in the business. Have a proper conversation with them and get all your puppy-related questions answered before you decide to get your puppy from them. With their love and affection, these bundles of joy can not only turn your bad days into wonderful ones, their high intelligence and alert minds also make them great guard dogs. Before purchasing a Labradoodle puppy, make sure to research the breeder and never get puppies from breeders who cannot provide health certificates for the puppies and their parents. Quality Of The Breeding Stock Determining the quality of the breeder is pretty easy, while understanding the quality and genetics of the breeding stock takes a bit more research. Breeding Stock Genetics This part is expensive but is critical to the breeding process for Labradoodles, because certain health conditions often appear within the breed. If a breeder starts with a sire father and dam mother with poor genetics or disease and health problems, what effect will this have on their litter? This part is usually overlooked or neglected by non-reputable breeders because it involves costly genetic testing and screening done by organizations like the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals source. However, some pups exchange hands for even more, if they have something which makes them especially desirable examples of what that might be coming up! You may also see Labradoodle puppies advertised for far less. This should be a red flag. A good breeder spends a great deal of money to produce a healthy litter. The costs of breeding a healthy litter include: Health screening for the parents. Travel and accommodation to meet a suitable stud dog. Veterinary costs for mom and her litter. Extra food. Whelping supplies, such as a whelping box, heat mats, and bedding. Time off work to look after mom, and start socializing her puppies. Backyard breeders, puppy mills, and online sellers may offer puppies at bargain prices, but only by cutting their own costs first. So their puppies are more likely to leave home with inherited health problems that require expensive treatment later. Or with behavioral problems like separation anxiety or stranger-directed aggression, which are difficult or impossible to overcome. Lots of people are overwhelmed by the upfront cost of a well bred puppy. Adopting a dog from a shelter is one way to find a dog for less, but without supporting unethical breeding practices. And some regions even have dedicated rescue organizations which specialize in rehoming Labradoodles and other Poodle crosses. This is a much less expensive route and adoption fees often cover things like initial vaccinations and microchipping. Such as whether they carry any late-onset inherited diseases, or are reactive to certain triggers. What Factors Determine Labradoodle Cost? There are a number of factors which may make people willing to pay more for a Labradoodle. Breeder Good breeders are rarely in it for the money. Even if they sell their puppies for a more money than they spent on them, the profit divided by the number of hours they spent caring the dam and her litter works out in cents! All breeders have their own personal philosophy on pricing pups. They might have a reputation and a waiting list which means they can charge more than the competition. They might also charge highly to deter people from buying their puppies on impulse. Provided you ask politely, a reputable breeder will be happy to explain how they arrived at the cost of their puppies. But a breeder who refuses to discuss how they set their price at all may be attempting to cover up the fact that their puppies have been very poorly raised and are not worth the asking price. Breeding Stock Breeders who invest in meticulous health screening of their sire and dam may pass the cost of that onto their buyers, and they have every right to do so. Puppies from thoroughly health tested parents cost more upfront, but they are likely to cost less in lifetime veterinary fees. Labradoodle puppies from parents with show or field titles may also be advertised at higher prices. The puppies of Labradoodles that have been backcrossed with a purebred Poodle will have a greater chance of inheriting the Poodle coat. Other factors There are other things which might affect Labradoodle costs too. For example, in cities and urban areas, miniature Labradoodles might command higher prices than standard Labradoodles. Some factors have nothing to do with the dog at all. For example, many reputable breeders avoid producing litters around Christmas time to avoid buyers passing them on as gifts to other people, or buying them on impulse without really thinking it through. Low quality breeders on the other hand, tend to push their prices up at this time of year. The Cost of Owning a Labradoodle in the First Year Whether you go a shelter or a breeder, adoption fees and purchase price are only the beginning of what it costs to own a Labradoodle. The first year will typically be the most expensive because this is when most major expenses occur. Such as Having the dog spay or neutered. Training classes. Accessories like a crate, bedding, toys, collar and leash. Labradoodles have a high frequency of joint disorders such as hip and elbow dysplasia, which may require expensive monthly prescriptions to manage. norfolk terrier cross poodle puppies - In Georgia, an individual named Altman was seeking to get a dog breed with a rugged build and watchful nature. However, this breeder, along with others, also wanted the doggo to be healthy. Though it is not too famous today, the breed was also recognized by the Continental Kennel Club in as a purebred one. They have a broad chest and a strong build, resting on short but straight legs. These doggos have a considerably broad head along with brown almond eyes that will have you swooning in a look. However, they love their dog-parents and run around you all day long. Altman Bulldogs are medium-sized, ranging between 15 to 21 inches in height. Therefore, the doggo has a relatively healthy life and lives for up to years. If you take good care of its feeding and activity levels, your Altman doggie can live even longer. Still, you must ensure that you thoroughly check all the facts related to health, background, and registration certificates. They love their human pack and will always watch your back, guarding the gate and alerting you about strangers. So much so that they may even get possessive about you. Due to their stubborn nature, Altman Bullies may not be very tolerant of other pets, especially dogs. The pooches may also end up chasing little animals, as they have a strong prey drive. However, if you train them to socialize from their puppy years, your doggos can get over these habits. That said, when it comes to children, the furballs love playing around with them. They enjoy the company of their tiny humans and protect them like adults. However, the same possessive nature may turn out to be the opposite with strangers. When it comes to separation anxiety, these canines do get depressed when left alone. Therefore, you must make sure to leave at least one member or fellow pet home while you are away. Apart from that, these energy-bundles love working out and are easy to train if you do so with authority. However, they do have considerable dietary and activity needs. Read on to know more about how you can care for your Altman Bulldog. Altman White English Bulldog Nutrition They have a bulky build and love to maintain it through physical activities, which is why they require high-protein food. You must feed your Altman doggo twice a day at regular timings for a healthy diet. Also, this will ensure that the canine does not fall prey to obesity that can cause multiple health issues. How to Groom an Altman White English Bulldog Though their coats do not require a lot of grooming, their wrinkly face surely does. Similar to any other bulldog, these pups have deep wrinkles that you need to wipe times a day. Doing this will prevent moisture and dirt from accumulating. Brush the doggo once a week, but you must bathe the canine every two months to eliminate their body odor. You must take the doggo for runs or a minute walk, twice a day. Apart from this, make sure to keep the intelligent canine busy with mental games and training like fetch. Caring for Altman White English Bulldog Altman Bulldogs have relatively long legs and high energy levels, which is why they do not love apartments. These doggos require big dwellings with a large, open lawn to stretch their legs around the day. Furthermore, this doggo is not difficult to care for. The canine will readily accompany you in all your hikes, swimming, and other similar activities. Plus, they can bear extreme heat and cold temperatures. So, the weather should not be a problem with an Altman Bulldog. Some of the hereditary problems include cataracts, allergies, jaw disposition, and heart valve defects. Apart from that, deafness is a severe ailment in most English Bulldogs. However, none of these issues are sure to be present in an Altman White English Bulldog. It entirely depends on the traits that the pup picks from its breed parents. Females: pounds. Height Males: inches. Females: inches. At the time, the English Bulldog was a far cry from what they looking for, with their many health issues and lowered quality of life. The closest they could get to their ideal dog were the old type bulldogs of the American South that had once lived in the area some years prior. Altman and his contemporaries set out to recreate the bulldogs that once dominated the Southeast United States. They crossed the English Bulldog to the White English Bulldog for generations until the dogs they produced were breeding true to the desired type. This resulted in the creation of the dog they had sought, one that was striking in appearance and physical strength, with far fewer health problems and greater tolerances than the English Bulldog. These dogs also possessed a lovely temperament, being gentle and loving with family and discerning of friends and foes. In , the Continental Kennel Club officially recognized Mr. While the Altman White English Bulldog is a lesser-known bulldog breed today, they are a family favorite among those who know and love them. Breed Characteristics Head: The skull is somewhat brachycephalic in type, medium to large in size, broad, and square. It should always be proportionately to the rest of the body, never so large as to hinder natural whelping. In profile, the head should never appear flat-faced. From the stop to the occiput, the head is high and broad with well-muscled temples and cheeks. From the front, the plane of the skull appears flat and not rounded. A median furrow starting at the stop and running toward the occiput may be visible. Extreme brachycephalic skull types lacking a muzzle or dogs with a completely flat facial profile are incorrect. Wrinkling on the head and face should not be excessive to allow for a neat and clean appearance. Eyes: Eyes are medium in size and may be somewhat round, open oval, open almond, or lemon-shaped, set wide apart and approximately level with the stop. The eyes exhibit a fair amount of skull above and between one another. The eyes should appear far from the ears in profile and when viewed from the front. Ears: Small to medium in size, set high on the skull, and well apart. The ears may be drop-shaped or rose. They are never long, overly large, or broken. The ears may be cropped short, but natural ears are preferred. Muzzle: Short, broad, deep, and full. The plane, or bridge of the muzzle, is straight. The upper and lower jaws are wide, have good bone substance, and appear strong and well-developed, never snipey or weak. There should be enough muzzle length for the nose to protrude and allow easy breathing and prevention of the soft palate from extending into the airways of the throat. The lower jaw is strongly developed and curved slightly upwards. The underjaw should never appear overly protrusive, and teeth and tongue must be completely concealed when the mouth is closed. Nose: The nose is well-pigmented, black, or self-colored, according to the coat. The nostrils are well-opened. Neck: Moderate length and powerfully muscled with a slight arch. The neck tapers smoothly from the deeper and broader body toward the head. A very slight dewlap may or may not be present. Chest: Deep and broad but never wider than deep. The brisket extends to the point of the elbows. Body: Compact, solid, and good substance. The body is never racy or refined. The width at the forequarters is approximately equal to the width at the hindquarters. Feet: Oval to round, compact with well-arched toes and tough pads. Tail: Set neither high nor low on the croup but as an elegant extension of the spine. It is thick at the base and tapering toward the tip. The tail may be left natural preferred or docked short. Natural tails are of a medium length, with the tip of the last vertebrae extending to the hock joints when held down. They may be straight, gently curved, or pump-handled. Docked tails are short and only a few vertebrae long. Movement: The Altman White English Bulldog is capable of smooth, effortless, efficient, and energetic movement in all climates and terrain. The characteristics of a healthy structure are evident. When moving away, the forelegs and rear pasterns should remain parallel to one another. When viewing movement from the front, the forelegs should remain parallel, with elbows and paws neither moving in nor out. From the rear, the back pads should be visible when the rear legs are extended. As speed increases, the forelimbs and hindlimbs will converge to the center line of gravity. From the side, the topline should remain firm and level. Good reach of movement in the front allows the forepaw to extend out in line with the nose. When extended, the width between the forefeet should be approximately equal to the width between the hindfeet when extended, indicating balance, good reach, and a good drive. Dogs that exhibit any sign of breathing or locomotive difficulty shall be disqualified from the show ring. Temperament: The Altman White English Bulldogs are loved by their people for their devotion and their strong attachment to their families. Just like the bulldogs of the Old South, they are protective watchdogs alerting to the slightest disturbance. They are also known to be less tolerant of other dogs, so strict socialization and early training are a requirement for the breed. They are intelligent and capable of learning many tricks and disciplines. They are also quite capable of many physically demanding tasks, such as agility and weight pulling. While friendly, devoted, and great with children, these dogs are known to be indifferent or aloof toward strangers. Any unprovoked aggressive or fearful behavior toward people is incorrect for this breed. The ideal body height-to-length ratio is .The body is substantial and powerfully muscled, with medium-heavy bone. However, the Altman should never be so substantial to appear heavy, cloddy, incapable of work, or lacking in stamina and agility, yet never so light as to appear racy or lacking in power. Males should appear masculine, being more substantial in size and mass, while females should appear more feminine and slightly less substantial. Neither should lack overall type. Male and female weights are always proportionate to height. The weight of males and females is always proportionate to height. Stop: The stop is definite, preferably forming a degree angle between the topskull and muzzle. Skull: The ideal muzzle-to-skull ratio is , with the topskull being just longer than the muzzle. The ideal muzzle-to-skull axis is convergent. Lips or Flews: The lips or flews are thick, wide, and deep. They conceal the lower jaw without extending well below it. Cheeks: The cheeks are well-muscled and broad but never overly protrusive. Flat, smooth, or chiseled cheeks are incorrect. Dentition and Bite: Forty-two strong, clean, and white teeth. Missing or broken teeth due to routine work are not to be penalized. Body and Tail General Description: Compact, solid, and good substance. Topline: Level from slightly prominent withers to croup. The back is broad, strongly muscled, and straight, yet supple. The loin is taut, level, or slightly arched, yet supportive. The topline is never swayed or roached. Croup: Gently sloped. Shoulder blades are approximately equal in length to the upper arm and forearm. Elbows: The elbows are close to the body. Forelegs: Frontal View: Straight, of good muscle and bone, and parallel to one another. A slight inclination inward is not a fault as long as they are straight. Side View: The forelimbs appear straight with strong pasterns. Pasterns: Never weak or broken. Hindquarters: The upper and lower thighs are equal in length, strong, sturdy, of good bone, and well-muscled. Rear View: When viewed from the rear, the rear pasterns are parallel to one another. Stifle Joint: Well-angulated with a good bend to well-let-down rear pasterns. Angulations: The angulation of the hindquarters is always in balance with the angulation of the forequarters. I searched and searched for a long time; across the country, even across the world but then I met Cynthia Kelly from Regis Regal German Shepherds. She is an encyclopedia and a wealth of knowledge about this breed. She paired me with, what I consider, a once in life time puppy. Thank you Cynthia - Manny is amazing!
