We also believe microchipping your puppy should be your choice, so we do not microchip our puppies but strongly recommend you do. Any breeding of the Bernedoodle, whether by accident or on purpose, is a violation of the contract and will incur an immediate fee of 3x the purchase price. By instituting any step in the process, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these terms and to paying the contract violation fee in full. Bernedoodles are also sold with a list of both requirements and suggestions for the health, safety, well-being, and longevity of the dog. Customers must take these requirements, suggestions, and financial investments under consideration prior to purchasing a KC Bernedoodles puppy. Reservation Deposit Serious inquiries only. Anyone can be added to the Waiting List with a completed deposit, but KC Bernedoodles reserves the right to the first pick of all litters. Puppy reservations are made in order of cleared deposit. Keep in mind that this means if you send a check by mail, another family could move ahead in line if they pay electronically. We will make every effort to help you make the best decision for your needs. The customer further agrees that they have no recourse. Once the customer has decided they want to purchase a puppy, they must email us stating so. Customers must remit the deposit amount in either cash, check, or through digital deposit. We will provide the account information for the deposit. Cleared deposits are the only way to reserve a puppy; no cleared deposit means no puppy reservation. Deposits are nonrefundable. By instituting any step in the process, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these terms. Deposits are considered a commitment, and we understand that the puppy will have a home with your family. Final payment for the balance owed must be cleared before pickup. Unfortunately, we do not accept checks at the time of pick up for the final payment on a puppy because all payments must be cleared. Any daily boarding charges must also be settled prior to pick up. The only time a refund will be given is if KC Bernedoodles cancels the purchase due to unforeseen circumstances, otherwise deposits are always non-refundable. Puppy Selection Anyone can be added to the Waiting List with a completed deposit, but KC Bernedoodles reserves the right to the first pick of all litters. When the puppies are born, they are given a color-coded collar. Puppies are discussed by their collar color, though our kids have a tendency to name them as well. Exact puppy choice happens by video interactions, exchanging photos, or through phone conversations at week six so their personality has time to develop. We will make every effort to help you make the best decision for your individual needs. For the health of the puppies, we do not allow visitors. Exact puppy choice begins on week six. Waiting this long allows us to get to know their personalities and help guide you to make the best choice. Choosing a puppy occurs in waiting list order. To facilitate all families making timely decisions, each customer has 2 hours from when we contact you beginning on week six to choose your puppy. We make every effort to lead you through the process of choosing the best companion for your individual needs and lifestyle, so please let us know your situation and preferences. Failure to choose within that 2 hours forfeits your turn, and you will move to the end of the line. The key is to let the puppy have the time it needs with its mother and siblings, and transition the puppy to its new family as soon as it is properly able, in order to bond with them early and well. This usually happens at around 8 weeks. By pick up time your puppy will not be dependent upon its mother since it will have been weaned starting around week 4. For the health of our family and animals, we cannot take back a puppy once it has left our home, but we can help you find a new home for them. Please contact us first if the need arises to rehome your puppy. Pick up must occur in person. We currently do not ship puppies, but let us know if you have an extenuating circumstance that needs to be addressed. We love discussing our puppies but we are not a pet store, so we do not ever allow visitors. Puppies can readily catch deadly diseases, such as Parvo, kennel cough, distemper, and many others, which are easily spread from one kennel to another or one dog to another. From very early on we begin looking for the characteristics and personality traits in our puppies that are best for each family that has placed a deposit. How does the waiting list work? Through the temperament assessment and your answers to a questionnaire regarding the kind of temperament you are looking for, the puppies will be allocated at 8 weeks of age. What will my puppy come to me with? We also have a trainer that does a training session at pick up. We have group pick up sessions. When will I be able to choose a puppy? You will choose a puppy in the order deposits were placed on the deposit list. Do you guarantee the health of your puppies? Are they all allergy friendly? Those who have previously purchased puppies from us and have an allergy to dander have found a higher tolerance to the labradoodle breed because it is low to non-shedding and dander free. We might be able to take the puppy back pending available space but no refund will be offered. Remember, our puppies are never to be placed in shelter or rescue organization!!! Please consider all of this prior to purchasing a puppy — it is a lifetime commitment! They tend to have more of the lab features with wispy-wavy hair. Their coat is maintenance free other than an occasionally brushing. They have low to moderate shedding which varies from puppy to puppy. F2 doodles are the puppies of an F1 doodle bred to an F1 doodle. Some F2 puppies in a litter will receive more retriever genes than poodle genes from their parents, others more poodle genes than retriever genes, and some with equal retriever and poodle genes like their parents. Thus you have only a few puppies that resemble their parents and most that resemble a retriever or a poodle. They are non shedding and more hypoallergenic than the F1. Their coat is very wavy to curly like that of a poodle. They do require more brushing and grooming to maintenance their curlier coat. Australian labradoodles are the puppies of an F1B, or greater, bred to an Australian labradoodle. They are non-shedding like the F1B and do require more frequent brushing and grooming depending no how long you prefer to keep their coat. Do you do any health testing of the parents? Will my puppy be vaccinated and dewormed? Your puppy will be dewormed at 3, 5, and 7 weeks of age and every two week thereafter until they have left our home. We can have our vet do the surgery prior to it leaving or you can have it done at your vet by 7 months of age. That company, SpaySecure, will send you monthly reminders via email and text. You will submit proof via receipt and a signed document from your vet verifying they fixed your dog. Does a male or female make a better pet? Males and females are equally great pets. Many people have various reasons for preferring one sex over the other, most of which are stereotypical. Both males and females are affectionate, playful, intelligent, trainable, and loyal. A neutered male does not have the tendencies of a non-neutered male such as running off to look for females in heat, humping, aggressive toward other male dogs, etc. Spayed females do not have a heat cycle so you do not have to deal with bothersome bleeding during their cycle. Spaying and neutering prevents breast, uterine, and ovarian cancers in females and testicular and prostate related cancers in males. Do you begin potty training the puppies before they are placed? They do not like to potty in their area. They quickly learn to use the designated potty area. They potty on wood pellets. We send you home with a baggy of wood pellets to make the transition easier and familiar for them. Right after the puppy has finished pottying praise it so it knows that what is has done is good. Small treats are always good too! Frequent potty breaks prevent accidents and build the habit of going outside to potty. Never leave the puppy unsupervised during a potty break! Never leave a puppy unsupervised to roam around your home, this is just asking for accidents! Be patient and be consistent! This must be a safe and welcoming place for the puppy with a blanket or towel for sleeping. Puppies learn quickly to not potty in their sleep area and will hold it as long as possible to avoid dirtying their area. You can expect your puppy to hold its potty 1 hr for every month old it is so an 8 week old puppy should be able to hold their potty for 2 hours around months when the puppy bladder has expanded it will be able to hold its potty significantly longer. Never use the crate for punishment! The puppy should never fear going to its crate — it should be a happy, relaxing, comforting place. All dogs like a little downtime and their crate can be a great place for them to sleep and have some personal space. Find the perfect dog crate for your needs. Dog crates at discount and wholesale prices. Our Australian Labradoodles and Goldendoodles are miniature and medium size puppies. What is the lifespan of a doodle? Please consider this when committing to the labradoodle breed! What kind of training do labradoodles need? Labradoodles are highly intelligent and easily trainable, especially at an early age. Simple commands like sit, stay, come, down, speak, etc are commands you can begin teaching your puppy at weeks of age. There are basic training classes available that provide helpful tips for new owners and successful training methods for training your puppy. It is important for you, the trainer, to be patient with your puppy so it will trust you. Do not punish the puppy for not reacting correctly to a command — this will negatively affect the training process and breakdown the bond between puppy and master. It is also important to remember puppies are very curious and have short attention spans so keep the lesson relatively short. Do you sell labradoodles with breeding rights? Our dogs are part of our family and raised in our home and we would expect the same from another breeder that chose to breed one of our puppies. Breeding pups are sold under a breeder contract and are priced accordingly. What will happen if I cannot keep my dog? If for some reason and issue arises and you are no longer able to keep your puppy we will help you to rehome find it a suitable, new home it. We will still place an ad on our website so prospective lookers will see it. We do this because we like to keep in contact with our puppies and their owners to hear about their silly puppy antics and the joy they bring to their lives as well as providing lifetime support. Make sure you carefully screen the family and know that they will love and care for the puppy as much as you! We never want one of our puppies to end up in a shelter!

Phantom coloring is a dog that has one main color, and then has 'tips' of another color. If you can picture the coloring of a Rottweiler, or a Doberman, this is the same color scheme. Phantom can occur with any color, A Silver Phantom with White points, A Chocolate phantom with Cream points, A black phantom with tan points, etc etc phantom Bernedoodles have a base coat of black or brown with brown on all four legs, chest, checks, and eyebrows. Some of the dogs in pictures are technically a phantom tricolor but to give you an idea of what a phantom bernedoodle looks like I think it is appropriate to share the pictures. A true phantom bernedoodle is only black and brown. When a bernedoodle has Black, rust, and minimal white we call that a phantom tricolor. Phantom Bernedoodles Phantom Bernedoodle adults are usually black and tan, silver and cream, cream and silver, or black and cream. Phantom Bernedoodles are stunning! Bernedoodles are a very mellow, friendly, and loyal breed. Most Bernedoodles tend to shed very little if any at all straighter coats can be prone to more shedding. An F1B or higher generation Bernedoodle is recommended for those with mild pet allergies. A Bernedoodle's coat is different than a double coated dog and can be shaved without damaging the hair. We recommend daily brushing and professional grooming every weeks to avoid tangles and matting. We focus mainly on Phantom and Tri colors. Phantom Bernedoodles are Black with copper trim along their face, legs, chest, and above the eyes. Females tend to be smaller than males. They are a gentle giant who generally do great with kids of all ages. They are social and love being around their humans. Training: Bernedoodles are intelligent and training must be done with rewards, firmness, patience and consistency. Basic training should start as soon as you take your Bernedoodle puppy home. They will require mental stimulation to prevent boredom and destruction in the home. They have a low to medium energy level and are perfect for those who like to get outdoors but also enjoy lounging around the house. If black, puppy has markings outside of the normal pattern for a parti puppy. Markings can range from silver, light tan, to dark brown, to red. These markings are found over the eyes, on the sides of the face, on the chest, on all four legs and feet, and under the tail. There is no white on the puppy or the white is very minimal. Unlike a phantom puppy, there is white present somewhere on the puppy. It is most common to only have white on the chest and sometimes the feet. These puppies most closely resemble a bernese mountain dog in their color patterns. It is more rare to get the white on the face with perfect berner markings, so please understand if leaving a deposit, you could be waiting a very long time for a puppy like this. The two non-traditional tri-colors we produce are sables and brindles. A sable is when the outer hair is a darker shade than the hair underneath. These puppies are a different color when they are shaved down. They commonly have places where their hair tends to stay darker like on the ears or tail. They may or may not have phantom markings and can have varying amounts of white. Brindle is when the puppy has stripes of different colors on their body. If all these colors werent confusing enough as it is, you can also have a sable brindle combination where the puppy has the stripes, but the hair underneath is still lighter too. These puppies will have varying sizes of patches. Several colors of hair create the "blue" and "red" color that these babies are known for. One puppy could appear to be several colors as its base coat. No two babies are ever the same!!! The phantom merles have those distinct phantom markings that we love so much! On average, these babies will appear to be three or more colors! These babies have large patches of distinct white, not just small spots of white hair mixed in which is common in merles. These puppies can appear to be five or more colors. The are the most unique color out there and are something extra special!!! A little about merles: Standard sized merle bernedoodles are especially hard to find. They are one of the few colors that are auctually harder to find in Standard size than mini. The reason being that standard sized merle standard poodles are difficult to find. The merle color is very uncommon in all poodle sizes. They can usually be readily found in toy and mini sized poodles. The toy poodle is then bred to a standard sized female to create the Moyen or medium sized poodle. This poodle as the mother cannot safely be bred to a bernese mountain dog. She will be far too small. If this moyen poodle is the father, the puppies will be a larger mini or very small standard size. These are not Large standard sized puppies that we are hoping to have. This merle moyen poodle should be bred again to a standard poodle in order to bring as much size as possible to the offspring, and then that puppy could safely breed for standard sized puppies. It takes several generations to safely and correctly breed for True Standard sized babies. It takes many years to create the perfect poodle to make these babies happen! We maintain the right to refuse sale to anyone we do not feel comfortable placing a puppy with for any reason. This right also extends to people who have already left a deposit with us, in which this is the only case that a deposit will be refunded. These large, fluffy dogs are known for their non-shedding coats and lovable personalities. Bernedoodles tend to be a great addition to any family! These dogs tend to handle the cold better than the heat; you may even have some trouble getting them to come back inside after some playtime in the snow. Because Bernedoodles bond so closely with their families and enjoy nothing more than being around them, they do not like to spend long periods of time alone. They can also be prone to skin issues like sensitive skin, allergies, and hot spots. Reputable breeders screen their dogs to avoid passing issues to puppies. Make sure you ask about the health and genetic history of both of the parents. You can also ask about any health tests or clearances that have been done. As a large dog breed, the Standard Bernedoodle is also at risk for bloat like both parent breeds. The Bernedoodle is a highly intelligent and easily trained dog breed.
