He whines and howls in a desperate manner. Since we now live in a town, we try to play with him in the house as much as we can, or throw the Frisbee in the backyard as often as possible. He loves when we visit home where he can have all the free running and playing with a dog friend of his. Temperament: Active, Friendly, People-Pleasing Generally, these dogs make excellent but active family pets. They are best for families that like to go on adventures and partake in strenuous activities. They love to run, fetch, and participate in canine sports of all sorts. Dogs that are harder to train will require a bit more patience and practice. Proper exercise, nutrition, and hygiene also play an important role in the lifespan of your pet. More social dogs have a tendency to run up to strangers for pets and scratches, while less social dogs shy away and are more cautious, even potentially aggressive.
