There is no obligation or fee to submit our application questionnaire. This will give you priority updates before they are public, based on your preferences of timing, shade of golden and gender. These are various purebred registry types. AKC has the most historical ancestry records, back to the 's for goldens, spot checked and verified by DNA. If we don't have a good fit, we are more than happy to refer to someone we trust. Are deposits refundable? Generally no. That is why we generally don't accept deposits before birth. When you deposit, we make a commitment to you that you will definitely be getting your puppy and will turn away other families. We will not consider other inquiries once we take a deposit on the availability. If you have to change your plans that means your puppy does not have someone else lined up, so we'd need to start over in our search for the right family. If you give us reasonable notice and another good home is found for the pup right away, we will often consider returning a portion of your deposit minus any additional expenses for advertising, extended search, etc. Do we ship puppies? We prefer local families or those willing to come meet us face to face. Travel can be traumatic for a puppy so we want to be sure it is as seamless as possible. We have met a few families curbside at our local airport Ontario or Orange County for a short accompanied flight, but we won't send a puppy alone as cargo. We may use a pet-friendly ground transport company Four-Legged Kids Bus or flight nanny at buyer expense, if it is not too far. Sometime thereafter, you sold him to a young man named Bob, who was at the time attending CU. Bob finished school and then returned to Seattle. Bob then accepted a job in San Francisco. This is where our time with Blake began. I am sure you hear stories like this all the time, so I will spare you the details, however this was no ordinary dog. Everyone in the neighborhood knew him and when they walked by Blake approached them to give and receive a little love. When Blake passed away last week, his absence was felt and we were reminded what and important part of our life he was and how he impacted others. They can also have parti-colored coats, which consist of brindles, phantom, patched, or sable colors. Grooming requirements vary depending on the length and type of coat the dog has. Generally speaking, you can expect to brush a Labradoodle about once or twice per week. Some can be clipped or trimmed every six to eight weeks to keep the coat easy to maintain. Like Labs, Labradoodles can be prone to ear infections, so take a little extra time caring for their ears. Dry and clean them after a swim, and check them once a week for dirt, redness, or a bad odor that can indicate an infection. Then wipe them out weekly with a cotton ball dampened with gentle, pH-balanced ear cleaner to prevent problems. Daily brushing is even better if you want to prevent gum disease and bad breath. Dog toenails have blood vessels in them, and if you cut too far you can cause bleeding—and your dog may not cooperate the next time they see the nail clippers come out. She is a friendly girl but has spent her life living outside with free run of the land. This means she has not met children or any other dogs apart from the Jack Russell she lives with. No to cats. She will need lead training. Mia loves playing with her ball though. Mia would be much better suited to a rural environment with a large garden or land. Bella - Devon Bella is an 18 month unspayed young lady. Currently living with another older bitch but not socialised enough with dogs outside of the home. She is living with children happily but is nervous of visiting youngsters so would like a home with no children. Bella plays with cats but has had an incident with a sheep and a chicken. This lovely girl just needs an experienced home that can give her the socialisation with people and other dogs that he has missed out on and put her on the right track. Trooper - Devon This handsome young man is 6 year entire Trooper. He lives with children but can be nervous of them so would not rehome with young children. Trooper is fine with other dogs but not cats. On meeting strangers he can be wary but has never shown any aggression. On the lead he will pull at first but is fairly obedient. At present this poor lad is not getting enough exercise or stimulation and has a lot of pent up energy. Being rehomed through no fault of his own. Sheera - Devon Sheera, at 6 years, is a very gentle and affectionate girl with persons of all ages. She is not spayed and at the moment is in foster living with two other GSD crosses. After some initial pecking order disputes, she now plays and lives alongside them very happily. She travels very well in the car and is good on the lead. If she is let off the lead her recall is also good. In fact, she is good in every way except that she has a dislike of other dogs mainly little ones but this has been manageable because she is an obedient girl and not too strong to handle. Her sweet and gentle nature in every other way is her overall redeeming characteristic. Blue - Bristol Blue is an 8 year old neutered male. He has never been off lead or allowed to play with other dogs. Very good on the lead but is overweight at present. Blue needs a home where he can learn to trust people and learn how to interact them. He can be slightly aloof but is a very confident dog. He will be very loyal to his handler but will become protective of them and his territory. Wendle is alert but quiet. He is fit and healthy. He is not keen on other dogs. This boy will need an experienced and understanding handler. Trevor - Bristol Trevor is a gorgeous black and tan 4 year old neutered boy. Poor Trevor has been from pillar to post. He was rehomed to his last family after his previous owners split up. He had lived with small children and was OK around livestock as they lived on a farm. Unfortunately the people who took him in, did not trust him off lead or around people so kept him muzzled and on the lead at all times. Early socialization and training ensure that they are accepting of strangers and other pets as well. These are not typically aggressive in the least. Maltipoos are described as 1st generation or 2nd generation. These are one of the few mixed breeds that are sometimes bred past the 1st generation. Colors vary greatly. Maltipoos can look very different from each other. They come in a variety of different colors. You can find a puppy in just about any color. Size depends on the size of the Poodle used. The Poodle used in breeding has a large role in the size of the puppy. Usually, toy Poodles are used, and this is the size we have used when writing this article. However, rarely, standard Poodles are used, and this results in an enormous puppy. They are affectionate and usually gentle. Puppies can be playful and quite active. However, they tend to calm down as they age. Some may stay relatively active into adulthood, like their Poodle parent. They are well-suited to families with children who like to play as well as snuggle. These dogs are a bit loud and vocal. They can make good alert dogs on some occasions, depending on their specific character and training. Maltipoos tend to bark at anyone who passes by. They typically need a bath at least once a month on top of whenever they get visibly dirty. They will likely need a bath after running through leaves, for instance. Or, at least, a good brushing. Clippings every few months are required, though their faces and paws may need trimming more often. We recommend scheduling them a monthly grooming appointment unless you are willing to learn how to groom them properly at home. Their nails should be trimmed every month at the very least. They need their teeth brushed quite a bit as well. Daily is best. These dogs are particularly prone to dental problems, so brushing is essential. They are not prone to many different health conditions. Minor Conditions. Their coat is somewhat hypoallergenic, although not completely hypoallergenic.
