Bernedoodle Puppies with nice temperaments are curious and playful, willing to approach people, be held by them, and generally prefer the company of humans over other dogs. Bernedoodles are a very adaptable breed which is a very good choice for novice owners. They are generally easier than most breeds, and they take to training better and are very easygoing. They are also resilient enough to bounce back from most rearing mistakes, but they need consistency if you want your Bernedoodle to become a well-mannered member of your family. They can at times be sensitive dogs, and they have a strong desire to please their people. They do not do well with aggressive, harsh training. They do best with positive reinforcement and reward-based training. Some of our Bernedoodles will let a stern reprimand roll off their backs, while others take even a dirty look to heart. Some of our Bernedoodles even have tears when they know they disappointed us. It is amazing to see how much they are like humans. It is always better to get the right temperament puppy for your family over color or gender. A pretty face will not matter much if you and your puppy do not work well together. Bernedoodles love to be with their families, and they don't love being left alone for extremely long periods of time. Our Bernedoodle pouts when she doesn't get to go with us. She will go to the truck and try and jump in before we can tell her to stay home. They love everyone, and this is not a breed that tends to be aloof or only bonds with one person and is indifferent to others. They shower everyone they meet with affectionate, sloppy kisses, and they expect lots of belly rubs in return. Our Bernedoodle puppies are raised around the clock with lots of people coming and going. We have a large family. They are extremely comfortable with people, and that is why they bond so easy. Stranger-friendly dogs will greet guests with a wagging tail and a nuzzle. Our puppies are exposed to lots of different types, ages, sizes and shapes of people which means that they will be friendlier to strangers as they grow up. This is why they make such wonderful therapy, service, companion and facility dogs. They are very kid-friendly and gentle with children and sturdy enough to handle heavy-handed pats and hugs. Please keep in mind that all dogs are individuals, and while we can't every guarantee how any puppy or dog will behave, these are generalizations based on our past experiences. All puppies have strong jaws, sharp pointy teeth, and may bite in stressful circumstances. We advise that young children and dogs should always be supervised by an adult. When looking for a Bernedoodle temperament and health should be your main concern. In our program we do the volhard testing on every puppy before we allow families to pick their puppy. PAT uses a scoring system from and consists of ten tests. The tests are done consecutively. Each test is scored separately, and interpreted on its own merits. The scores are not averaged, and there are no winners or losers. The entire purpose is to select the right puppy for the right home. The tests are as follows: 1. Social Attraction - degree of social attraction to people, confidence or dependence. Following - willingness to follow a person. Restraint - degree of dominant or submissive tendency, and ease of handling in difficult situations. Social Dominance - degree of acceptance of social dominance by a person. Elevation - degree of accepting dominance while in a position of no control, such as at the veterinarian or groomer. Retrieving - degree of willingness to do something for you. Together with Social Attraction and Following a key indicator for ease or difficulty in training. Touch Sensitivity - degree of sensitivity to touch and a key indicator to the type of training equipment required. Sound Sensitivity - degree of sensitivity to sound, such as loud noises or thunderstorms. Sight Sensitivity - degree of response to a moving object, such as chasing bicycles, children or squirrels. Stability - degree of startle response to a strange object. During the testing make a note of the heart rate of the pup, which is an indication of how it deals with stress, as well as its energy level. Puppies come with high, medium or low energy levels. You have to decide for yourself, which suits your life style. Dogs with high energy levels need a great deal of exercise, and will get into mischief if this energy is not channeled into the right direction. Can Bernedoodles Tolerate cold and warm climates? They tolerate both cold and hot weather very similar to humans. They have very nice coats as well as an undercoat. They usually have an ample amount of body fat, and they love colder weather and can tolerate warmer weather. They will need to stay indoors with you on warm or humid days, and you'll need to be extra cautious about exercising your doodle in the heat. They love swimming and retrieving and are very agile for a limited amount of times. They go hard quickly and they fizzle out just as fast. It's actually very funny to watch. A good rule of thumb for being in a hotter climate is if you are hot than they are hot. They can handle much colder weather than you or I and most seem to think they are snow dogs if given the change to romp in the snow. Are Bernedoodles good watch dogs? This hybrid is excellent with kids of all ages, and is gentle enough for interaction with even the youngest children in the family. Because of their friendly, gentle natures, Bernedoodles thrive as service and therapy dogs. Their loyalty, protectiveness, and affability make them an ideal partner for people with disabilities. Prey drive is the genetic instinct many dogs have to chase things that move. Dogs with more prey drive are the ones that really enjoy chasing balls; toys and sometimes even kids. To understand how to deter a puppy from play-biting or nipping you must first understand why a pup is engaging in this behavior. Why Puppies Bite: Puppies bite because that is their method of discovering and interacting with you and the world around them. Puppy biting begins with littermates. When puppies are about 4 weeks old they begin to play with their littermates. This play involves physical activity games; they push each other around and bite one another on the ear, head or any part accessible. .They straddle, dominate and chase one another in games that resemble chasing prey. This is not early aggression, it is a game of pack behavior. Puppies need to learn how to live with their new human pack members and it's the humans who need to educate them. This begins with the breeder who interacts with them and helps teach them a soft bite and redirects them as needed, but when puppies change environments and enter the home of their new family, they sometimes act exactly like they did with their littermates. They bite, chew-on the new family members and chase them, just as they did with their littermates. They need to learn this next family environment is different from their pack and requires a different type of play. This is where trouble starts with new pet owners. Puppies think they are playing with new friends and humans think the puppy is being aggressive. So What To Do? Expected or not, puppy teeth are very sharp little pointy things that HURT. They can unintentionally draw blood. They can cut fingers and ankles if they latch on and you jerk your hand or leg away. If you have an elderly person in the home with fragile skin, have them wear thin gloves when interacting with the puppy at first. So we know we need to teach the puppy that biting us is not acceptable behavior. We need to show the puppy an alternative behavior that satisfies their drive to bite. Read on below for tips how to start teaching this. Exercise: The more exercise your puppy gets the less energy they have for biting. Puppies need physical and mental stimulation and having enough of both will alleviate a lot of behavior problems. Puppies should not be in a crate for more than 3 hours when they are young. Doing so, increases frustration and over-excitement when out of the crate, resulting in a puppy more inclined to bite inappropriately. Take your pup outside every hour or so for potty breaks and for a couple of short walks a day. A general rule of thumb for a puppy is about 5 minutes of exercise per month of age, 2x a day. So your 3 month old puppy should be exercised for 15 minutes twice a day. For the first year, jogging with your puppy is not recommended as this is detrimental to their developing joints. Yelping: When littermates play with one another and one gets bitten too hard it yelps. This yelping is their way to communicate that the play biting is too rough. If the pup lets go then you can praise and gently pet them. Give a food treat or a high value toy to play with. And remember to be calm which will encourage calm in your puppy. Praise a puppy for naturally calm behaviors like sitting and pet them on their chest not around the head or mouth which will encourage them to be mouthy. Be prepared to give them the toy if they start chewing on hands or ankles. Use the food treats to trade for the toy when you want it back. You can redirect the puppy by either tossing a toy a foot or two not too far away from you or move it around in front of the pup in a manner that builds interest. You will learn through experience how to redirect your puppy off of you and onto the toy. Once you get a pup to redirect onto a toy you are on the road towards teaching that puppy that there are more interesting prey items than your hands and legs. It can save your puppy from eating those grapes that a child just dropped on the floor. In the case of a Therapy or Service Dog, it can keep them from eating a pill found on a hospital floor. And a puppy that can restrain from grabbing a treat in your hand or from the floor is more likely to leave your hand alone when you ask. Place a treat in your hand so your puppy sees it and then make a fist to prevent your puppy from eating it. Your puppy will try to sniff, lick, paw at and possibly bite at your hand to get to the treat. Once they have this, increase the difficulty level by showing them the treat and later putting it on the ground just under your foot so you can quickly block it if they get too close. Also remember to put the original treat away and reward with a different one. Eventually, switch to socks, toys etc. Time Out: Sometimes puppies are over-stimulated and sometimes they are just overly tired. You can pick them up in the football hold mouth facing away from you for an off the ground time out, or if necessary give them a longer time out by gently placing them in a playpen. Supervise all play with the kids and make sure they are not interacting with you or your children when they are hungry or over stimulated. They are likely already uncomfortable as their adult teeth come in, painfully pushing their way through their gums. Soothe them like you would an infant by giving them frozen toys to teethe on. And ensure they have their quiet place for plenty of puppy required snoozing. Reminders: Remember that your puppy is just a baby. Remember that old advice to bite their ear if they bite you…totally wrong. You will break that bond and trust you have been working on by resorting to punishment as your form of correction. Do not automatically label your puppy as aggressive or vicious. They need about 20 hours of sleep, in a quiet place of peace and safety. Sometimes it is the family or kids who are inadvertently sending the puppy into overdrive. We know their teeth are sharp and can hurt. Prepare your kids before the puppy comes home. Teach them to never dangle a toy above the puppy who will then inadvertantly leap up with their best tool to grab it…their mouth. Supervise, have appropriate items for redirecting and intervene when necessary. And consider thin cotton gloves for kids or older family members. Maybe have them wear long sleeves and pants for a while. Try not to be frustrated and end training sessions on a positive note. When you are frustrated, your pup will likely feel it and become frustrated also. Doodles are very smart and intuitive and have a keen aility to sense our emotions. Usually this is a good thing but not so much if your becoming irritated. So if you are getting overwhelmed and emotional, take your own timeout, a personal break before coming back at it. Teach the Leave It command. Truly this can be not only the most helpful tool for alleviating puppy biting but is an essential tool to have in your training toolbox! Keep on hand some indestructable toys with different textures and densities to satisfy their chewing desire. These are NOT mutts which implies a breeding between unknown breeds or not carefully planned. These are designer breeds that are bred for a specific purpose. We produce an incredible bernedoodle that displays the qualities of both our champion line Standard Poodles and the Bernese Mountain Dog pedigrees. The advantage of a carefully planned mixed breed is that you get the added advantage of a phenomenon called "hybrid vigor". This process shuffles new combinations of genes that helps to increase longevity and decrease the usual ailments that impact many purebred dogs such as various forms of inherited types of cancer not all cancers have a genetic basis such as small and large cell lymphoma which is usually a result from environmental exposure. The bernedoodles are super healthy and are not as prone to the same issues that Bernese mountain dogs and standard poodles are. The Premier F1 Standard Bernedoodle is a low- to mostly nonshedding we use standard poodles that do not carry the improper coat alleles and Bernese mountain dogs that have thick wavy curly coats.If you want a guarantee on non shedding, then you should try to select an F1b or F1bb bernedoodle. Both look amazingly similar to the F1 standard bernedoodles but maybe a little smaller. We will produce about 2 F1b and F1bb standard bernedoodle litters per year for those wanting a more curly coat in their bernedoodles. Premier Bernedoodles love to be with the family and do not do well in enviroments of isolation. Wherever the family is, that's right where they want to be. They are stunning dogs, and you'll likely get alot of attention and people asking you what kind of dog you have. They are beautiful and along with their incredibly gentle personalities, you will have an absolutely stunning dog. They are a perfect companion dog that love to go on walks through the city or hikes in the woods or mountains or a swim at the beach. They love it all and will be at your side the entire time. They don't tend to wander away as they prefer to be with you.They equally love just hanging out with you on the couch watching your favorite movie or watching you reading a book. They really love it all as long as you're a part of it. They are so loyal to the family. Bernedoodle puppies do have energy like most puppies, and this will continue thru about years of age at which time they really mellow out. They are not nervous nor hyper but will need some off leash time where they can really stretch their legs and run. The old motto "a tired puppy is a good puppy" always prevails! Just make sure they have a lot of fresh water and a cool spot to cool off afterward. Due to the the recombination and shuffling of new genetic variations, they do show some variation in their coloration however they also all have a common morphology that tells you it's a bernedoodle. Although we do take deposits on a first come, first pick basis, we will know the puppies well, their personalities, and can help select a puppy that best fits your lifestyle and what you are looking for. We only use Standard Poodles and Bernese Mountain Dogs to produce our Premier Bernedoodles so that any dog we accept into our Premier Bernedoodle program have passed stringent health tests, display family oriented personalities, and exhibit the best of conformation so that our bernedoodles are absolutely beautiful. Be very cautious when purchasing a purebred or bernedoodle without doing your due diligence as the puppies will always be cute, but will exhibit the personalities of the bloodline used later in life.Therefore, use a reptutable breeder that has invested in the dogs they use for their breeding programs and that raise them as their own family members. They should be able to produce their pedigrees as well, and should have both parents on site so you can see how they react to you. We are very Type A when it comes to the quality of dogs which makes it more difficult to give referrals. We are always going to be biased and believe that the wait for a Premier Bernedoodle is worth it and you'll be very happy you did! Also you can visit your local humane society and help rescue a dog at the shelter.If you have young kids be sure to get a younger dog from the shelter that can adapt to your family. But if you're looking for a unique new family member, a Premier Bernedoodle will be a true delight. Colors and Fur Our Premier Bernedoodles will be traditional tri-color much like a Bernese Mountain Dog , abstract tricolor similar to a traditional tricolor with less white in the face , sable similar to a traditional tri-color but has more reddish-browns due to the poodle genetics we use , phantom, merle, merle tricolor, or bi-colored brown and white, black and white, or shades thereof. Our F1b's will consist of black and whites, traditional tricolors, abstract tricolors, and lots of variable brown and reddish brown and whites. Color never reflects temperament and personality so usually most people don't really care too much what color they are. They are all really beautiful. Although there's variation due to the hybrid vigor present as a result of the recombination of genes in many arrays, there is definitely a bernedoodle appearance that is fairly consistent. If you let the hair grow, they will look like big shaggy dogs that you can't help but to give a big hug to. And they enjoy every minute of it! Our Premier Bernedoodles will tend to have wavy curly coats due to the coat types we require in our bernese mountain dogs which helps to minimize or eliminate shedding.We do make sure that our standard poodles do not carry the genetic marker known as the "Improper Coat" allele or IC for short. Wavy curly coats do require a little more grooming as compared to straight, but many, straight coats shed more.Although they are considered to be large, they don't act like a large dog in the house. They are generally very careful and calm natured as adults however they do have some puppy-fun energy thru the puppyhood stages and thru 3 years of age. They love people and other pets! We do thorough genetic testing of our adults that we use in our breeding program to assure that you are purchasing the healthiest of bernedoodle puppies. Our Bernese mountain dogs come from very long-lived blood lines in Western Europe and these longer lifespans is one of the many reasons we obtain our Berners from several specific populations known for their longevity. Obviously we can't guarantee lifespan as there are many variables outside of our control not to mention, environment, stress, climate, food, etc. But track record seems to show a longer lifespan. What's the Difference? An F1b is an F1 standard Bernedoodle backcrossed to a standard poodle or could be a backcross to a Bernese mountain dog but we generally use the poodle as the backcross. An F1bb is an F1b standard Bernedoodle backcrossed to a standard poodle. Behaviorally they are all very similar with the F1b and F1bb's being slightly smaller than our F1 standards and tend to have slightly curlier coats to a tight wave. If you're looking for a smaller standard Bernedoodle these would be a great option. Pictures are posted below with the other pictures. We continue to get lots of praise from those that have purchased our F1b and F1bb standard bernedoodles. Is the Bernedoodle for Everybody? I would like to think so, but if you do not plan on being with your bernedoodle and keeping it with you, in your home, as part of your home, this is definitely not the dog for you. They thrive on being with the family and not isolated we believe this is the case for all dogs, and especially bernedoodles. Any of our puppies kept in a permanent kennel situation, on a tether, or the like, will violate the terms and conditions of our puppy contract and will have to render the puppy or dog back to Premier Doodles see puppy contract in link above. We definitely support crate training, but these dogs are not meant to live their life in a crate nor kennel! If you want a pet that prefers to be in isolation, you may want to consider a nonsocial pet perhaps a Betta fish! Yes we have done a lot of the hard work the first 8 weeks as we do extensive early neurological stimulation bio-sensor and Puppy Culture program, along with starting crate training and housebreaking, BUT, they are puppies and will need your undivided attention for the next weeks as they work towards being completely housebroken and earning more privileges. They have been communicating with their siblings for the past 8 weeks using their mouth. During their normal daily interactions, you will occasionally hear a loud "yelp" in response to one biting another too hard. This yelp usually ends the mouthing behavior. Now puppies have fur and people generally do not. When you bring your bernedoodle home, they will likely display some degree of mouthing behavior toward their human family. This will usually stop this behavior. We then redirect their desire to mouth to something more appropriate like a chew toy and after a few seconds of cooperating we praise them. Design and features Setup Setting up the Puppy Cube was straight-forward. Once cables are plugged in, the rear panel may be reinstalled to give a nice clean look to the unit. The Puppy Cube arrives with a partially-charged battery. I charged the Puppy Cube for several hours until the battery-charge indicator light turned from orange to green. The only real problem I had setting up the Puppy Cube was finding a large enough flat surface upon which to test the system. Performance I am going to break this review into three parts: projector, projector and HID human interface device , and stand-alone media device. The Puppy Cube can project onto either a horizontal surface e. The integrated camera is only available when the Puppy Cube is projecting onto a vertical service. The camera is set to point straight out from the Puppy Cube. This means that unless you put the projector up on a stand or a stack of books, you only get a video of yourself from the shoulders down unless you hunch over. Projector When used as just a projector the Puppy Cube performs as well as most other p-native projectors. The image is bright enough for use in dimly-to-moderately-lit rooms. The auto-focus and keystone corrections function well. The Puppy Cube successfully displayed p, p, 2K, and 4K feeds. Videos played well at all resolutions using HDMI, but desktop images at 2K and 4K resolutions suffered from noticeable degradation when down-sampled to the native resolution of the projector. PowerPoint slides were acceptable at all resolutions. I was able to wirelessly display non-DRM videos e. I was able to connect to my UPnP server using the Video Lan app and play different movies stored on my server. The virtual mouse system worked better than the virtual keyboard in my initial testing. Once I abandoned my attempts at touch typing and went to hunt-and-peck style two-fingered typing my results improved dramatically. By default, the touch features are turned off when using the Puppy Cube to project onto vertical surfaces, but these features may be enabled through the onboard configuration system. Stand-alone media device I have mixed feelings about the Puppy Cube as a stand-alone media device. YouTube can be accessed via the browser, but it was frustrating to find such a common app to be incompatible. I was able to load and use Video Lan as mentioned above , but I was only able to play videos that were stored on my local server, rather than on remote servers. While I am primarily an iOS user in the mobile arena, I do have some familiarity with the Android UI from helping my sons and some less tech-savvy neighbors with their phones. My sons who live in both iOS and Android had fewer problems than I did, but they still had problems finding and using some of the controls. Additionally, the unit acts like there is a low power, continuous drain on the battery, which I attribute to the unit being in a suspend mode rather than being powered all the way down. This latter issue only crops up when I leave the Puppy Cube unused for several weeks. PuppyRobot is a Chinese company. The use of asynchronous text communications has hindered troubleshooting. Final thoughts I found the Puppy Cube an interesting product that has great potential. However, at this price-point, the native resolution of the projector is too low, the camera is poorly positioned, and the operating system on the unit I reviewed still needed some work. The basic display and touch features work well, but the stand-alone media player features could still use some work. The current incarnation is fine for basic family use, but an upgraded version could make the Puppy Cube common in the workplace. Currently, GMS-based apps are not available for download directly onto the device. These apps can also be screen casted to the projector when paired with any Android or iOS device. It is for me very difficult to summarize the puppy cube, so bear with me - this review will be quite long. Remember the Sony Xperia Touch from a few years back? I sure do, and I also remember the eye-watering price tag of almost 2k USD and the abysmal lumens it could output. So I ended up never buying it. Fast forward a couple of years and puppy robot robotics? I couldn't stop myself from ordering one, and I'm damn glad I did! The touch functionality feels more responsive, the quality of the projected touchscreen feels fuller and more crisp the ANSI lumens compared to Sony's helps a lot. The customized version of Android looks a bit goofy, but it's not bad, and most apps run just fine. The perhaps biggest caveat is the lack of GMS, but more on that later. The projected touchscreen is 23 inches, and works on any flat surface you get the best color rendition if it's white. You can install apps from an app store called UpToDown, which is a pretty common third-party app store in Europe, apparently. Apps will automatically appear in English if you set the device to that language only two options anyway, English and Chinese. Apps that only work in portrait mode will require you to move the device, which can be annoying at times - landscape mode is definitely preferred. If you want, you can connect peripherals to the puppy cube. I'd recommend the latter, to which I've connected a mouse, keyboard, headphones and a PS4 controller, not to mention the included remote control. Here's where the real magic happens - if you tilt the puppy cube down, and have it project to a wall instead of a table, you can up to inches of screen. While you lose the touchscreen functionality if you make the screen size any larger than 23 inches, you can still use the peripherals just fine. What that means is that you get a computer the size of a big milk carton, and a screen as big as your entire wall. Load up any productivity apps and you're able to do real work on this thing. It will also auto focus, but by using the remote you can also manually fine-tune the focus as well. Or just watch Netflix, or YouTube. The puppy cube can work as a stand-alone device in horizontal mode, but also as a regular projector. The integrated speakers are decent, and the device can even act as Bluetooth speakers! And let's not forget that it is portable. The battery will last minutes according the the official information, which should be enough for at least a full-length movie and then some. But despite all the versatility, there are some cons too. The lack of GMS being the biggest one, but there are a few others too. I'll list both pros and cons below. But the pros certainly outweighs the cons. But if you just want a portable projector, then you might be better off buying something cheaper. The form factor is great and the virtual interface is really awesome and unique. However as a projector -- ummm. I was really disappointed when I connected the device to HDMI direct, there were slight delays and the audio was not always in synch with the picture3. My mac kept saying the device screen settings could not be determined and the resolution was all over the place both mirrored or as separate displays 4. The Google style app store was blah - and many of the apps are not supported by the deviceIn summary I had high hopes. The virtual interface is something special and very responsive, but if I can't use it as a proper projector I think it falls a bit short. I am hoping they can do some firmware updates to get it working better. If not I will have to give this very expensive product to my kids to use with their XBOX or something. I tote it around in a camera bag. Picture quality is fine for my eyes, and sound is at least on par with most TVs out of the box without requiring extra speakers. Picture is serviceable in a dimmed room night light on on normal white wall. The bad: The smart feature was hamstrung by the projector not being Google Play Store Seller was very up front about this and also reminded me many times, so no transparency issue here. Apps will be hard to come by, and I have issue where mirror casting YouTube from App from my iPhone SE ios13 update has no sound, but casting from youtube website works fine. Netflix app sometimes require you to use both touch and remote control to work. But it is a price worth paying for " on the go. Fantastic product that is an amazing piece of technology! I used this to present material in a confined area that only a short-throw projector would be able to do. Unfortunately, this product suffers around natural light. Enough of the bad.The fact that this projector is running Android is absolutely fantastic. Its' ability to project standing up to turn any surface into a tablet is incredible. Additionally, being able to project in a lay-flat mode onto a screen of up to " is FACT! Rather than write a review that reads like a book, I'll highlight my favorite features with bullets. I find it work best on hardwood floor, surprisingly. Though the touchscreen part doesn't work on a wall or any vertical surfaces you can use the remote for that and it is still very cool!

In providing you with their details, The Golden Retriever Club of NSW makes no representations as to the reputation of any breeder or as to the soundness or suitability of any puppy you may decide to acquire from any breeder. You must satisfy yourself that any puppy you may decide to acquire is healthy, sound and meets your requirements. The Golden Retriever Club of NSW accepts no responsibility in respect of the information contained in the Advertising Club Members or in respect of any puppy that you may decide to acquire from any breeder. The Golden Retriever Club of NSW requires breeders to test their dogs involved in breeding for certain hereditary conditions recommended by the National Golden Retriever Council through tests that are supervised by the Australian Veterinary Association. Some breeders also undertake optional testing which is available for some conditions through commercial genetic technology. Due to the complex nature of genetics the results of any hereditary testing can only provide an understanding of the genetic type and background of the dogs used in the breeding, it is not possible to predict or guarantee the health of any of their offspring.
