I kept the hemostat on the cord for about 2 minutes to let it clout. The umbilical cord dries up quickly and then within a day or 2 it falls off. Raven was a good mama and took care of her poops. They love to lay on us and never have had any trouble with grooming, food guarding, loud noises, children or other animals.
