Get Another Pet Another solution is to get another Pug as a pet, a different breed, or a cat. You should only get another Pug if you can give them the attention they will need. If you have an office job where you can set up a dog bed and let your pug be near you while you are on your computer most of the day? Your pug would likely do well to come to work with you. Pug puppies may need to be kept in a very limited area with access to almost nothing. More mature pugs may be capable of being left home alone with free range of the house.
