We are very proud of our exceptional puppies from our healthy and health tested adult poodles. Our adult dogs are each health tested for hip, cardiac, eye exams, and genetics clearances with the results then publicly recorded with OFA. We are located on the beautiful St. Delivery throughout the USA is available. We have litters planned for , and we are making plans now. My name is Shawn and I have been breeding standard poodles since and it is truly a joy! I love raising puppies, knowing that these first weeks they spend with us are very important. Matching a puppy to her forever family is very rewarding. I breed only standard poodles; no other breed holds my heart the same way as standards. Our puppies are lovingly raised in our home. They are well socialized, started on potty training and ready to join your family. I make every effort to offer the most physically sound poodles I can by doing responsible health testing that is also publicly registered with OFA. Our dogs are negative, not carriers nor are they affected by these diseases. Cardiac and eye exam results are "normal". I look for the same testing results in any potential stud dog I may pair with one of my girls. Please inquire with any questionsI love to brag about our beautiful poodles! Join Our email list! Be the first to hear about our new litters, poodle approved treat recipes, and helpful advice. Join us! Standard Poodles! Poodles are goofy, social, fun-loving, intelligent, highly-trainable, and desire human companionship. It is thought that the Poodle originated in Germany as far back as the Middle ages. Taking its name from the German word pudeln, which means "to splash in water". The Poodle was once exceptional at retrieving ducks from the marshes. The versatile Poodle is among the most intelligent and capable of breeds. It is easily trained and remains a popular family pet to this day. Our Poodles are all from Standard lines and are regal and calm, though they love to play. They bark to alert when someone arrives at the house, but are not barkers without purpose. Standard Poodles love to be near their family and are wonderful with other dogs and children. We produce solids, parti-factor or abstract, as well as Parti Standard Poodle Puppies! Our Parti Standard Poodle Puppies range from red and white, apricot and white, brown and white, black and white, and sable parti puppies. Our Poodle Dams and Sires are AKC Registered from excellent bloodlines and have obtained extensive health clearances prior to being bred. All three varieties have the same build and proportions. We do not currently offer miniature or toy puppies. Poodles can be black, red, white, apricot, brown, cream, Cafe Au Lait, silver beige, silver or blue, and may be a combination of these colors. Poodles carry the color patterns brindle, sable, ticking, abstract, tuxedo, parti, and phantom. They require brushing a few times a week, plus clipping and shaping every months. This longer clip though does require more frequent brushing at home to prevent matting of the Poodles curly coat. According to Slate Magazine, Poodles were originally used as foul hunting dogs. An unshorn Poodle's thick coat could weigh it down in the water. With the bottom half of its body shaved, the animal was more buoyant and could swim more freely. The long mane and hair around the chest were left intact to keep the poodle's vital organs warm in the cold water, and owners also kept the hair around the joints to protect them from cold and injury and to help prevent rheumatism. Shaving the hair around the face left the poodle's mouth and eyes free so it could fulfill its retrieving responsibilities, and tying the hair on a poodle's head into a "top knot" also kept hair out of its eyes. Owners eventually tied these knots with brightly colored ribbons to help them identify their dogs from afar. Daily walks are a must if you don't have a safely enclosed area for them to run freely. They love games and many are attracted to water and love to swim. As with any dog, socialization and training should start while the dog is still a puppy and continue throughout its life. Look for a puppy kindergarten class locally or join the AKC S. Puppy Program , training based on positive techniques. Find a class here. This is a great place to start socializing and training. A well-socialized, well-trained Poodle makes a wonderful family companion. Early socialization and training establishes those lifetime bonds between the family and puppy as these programs teach you how to communicate with your new puppy and get started on the right foot. F1b have one purebred parent and one cavapoo parent. All our F1b have a poodle parent and a cavapoo parent. If it were a cavalier parent and a cavapoo parent the puppies would shed and may look like mix breed spaniels. Same for cavapoo to cavapoo. I like silly hair cuts! I try to get a photo of each new way I trim their coats. The unique! My affinity for unique color prompted me to look for my favorite color of all time which is blue merle. Chocolate is even more popular and dilute so Cappuccino will produce blue merle cava-poo puppies, and maybe chocolate if the genes are there for the dilute in the Cavalier. Cavapoos are proving to be one of the favorite crosses families are looking for. Cavaliers are super sweet and snuggly so adding a bit more brains, and eliminating shedding makes for a terrific companion! The Maltese are full of themselves and so tiny. Perfect for those who want a really small dog that has some spunk, so crossed with poodle they are very easy to train! We wont have any Maltipoo until when Angelica, Angels daughter, is old enough to have puppies. Bubba is our red AKC miniature poodle from terrific health tested bloodlines. He is very smart and just a cuddle bug. Everyone who visits loves Bubba. They are shocked to learn he is a poodle. He has changed many peoples impressions of poodles, raised with lots of socializing and children like most poodles in that situation a friendly outgoing dog, super smart, and looks like a teddy bear, or lion, or whatever strange thing I have turned him into with silly hair cuts! Also pictures of him as a tiny 13 ounce puppy. He is another dog that proves you cant go by the poodle chart to know how big a puppy will actually get, he should have stayed about 6 pounds if the chart was accurate. I like to trim him like a teddy bear, and experiment with different ways to trim his coat. Some hair cuts are so goofy looking I didn't take any photos of them, but lately I decided to add the whole range to the slide show, even Bubba still wet form a bath! I like the lion cut the most, although the big eyebrow cut is much easier to keep groomed! Bubba has been health tested. He has OFA hips, eyes, and had a DNA test which checks things, which showed he was clear for everything tested, but a carrier for one thing. Carriers can't have the problem. My ex-mother-in-law turned 90 in March .Her dog had passed away a few months earlier. She was set on a dog who did not need to have hair cuts. Kim, my daughter, now goes every week to take her shopping, and on outings. I had done my bossy thing and told her to convince her to get a non-shedding, hypoallergenic dog. She isn't able to clean house well anymore, she has allergies, even though she denies it. Plus there was talk about going into a senior residential community, which I know she would love. Shes a social person. She tried getting 2 cats who needed a home. It didnt work, rubbing on her legs the one was going to knock her down, and they were getting into her many houseplants. I dont even want to think about the litter box situation, older home and plumbing and she was convinced you can just scoop it into the commode. In the outings with Kim she kept pointing at cute little dogs. Kim kept pointing out, Granda those dogs have cute hair cuts, it doesn't grow that way. Kim wisely suggested bringing over a different dog of the varieties she could borrow from us. Then she could meet them see what they are like and maybe keep one. Kim took Bubba first. He hopped in her lap. Before you know it shes asking if he would sleep with her. She never had a dog sleep in the bed due to the fur issue. Bubba slept with us. Kim said she wasn't planning to leave him, she will bring him back and bring the next dog. Edna asked to keep him. So Bubba was her 90th birthday present from us. He is not formally retired but will be as soon as our new red male is old enough and passes his health testing. Bubba adores her. Nothing better then to have a furry best friend. We of course also care for Edna and why I suggested Bubba. I knew she needed a best friend and Bubba is such a great dog. Bubba Bubba and his black poodle son. Bubba, as a puppy. Teddy red Cavapoo, and Bubba when a little baby. Bubba 3 months old, at a dirt bike race. He didn't mind the noise at all. Hunter, super smart 2 year old boy who just loved baby Bubba! Bubba with his fro. No man cometh unto the Father, but by me. I hope your visit to our site is fun, emotional and informative. Should a Boxer Mix take after their Boxer parent, they will be a playful, energetic, and friendly dog that loves their family and loves being active with them. Boxers are known for their energetic and exuberant personalities. They bond closely with their families, tend to have a cheerful disposition, and also tend to get along well with children, other dogs, and other pets. Although they are friendly dogs, they do have the instinct to protect their families. If the other parent breed has similar traits, then you should be able to expect a similar temperament in a Boxer Mix. Asking the breeder about the other parent breed in the mix is a good start. You can also meet the mother dog to get a feel for her temperament and to see what behavior she is modeling for her puppies. Although the breeder should be socializing puppies while they have them, it is up to you to continue training and socializing a puppy once you get them home. Boxers are moderately adaptable dogs. Because of their energy, they tend to do better in homes with yards where they can run. But, they can adapt to apartments as long as they get exercise and mental stimulation throughout the day. Although all dogs are sensitive to heat, the Boxer is even more so because of their short snout. And, because they bond so closely with their families, they do not like to be left alone for long periods of time. The other parent breed could introduce some traits that could affect the adaptability of a Boxer Mix, so you do want to ask the breeder about them. Knowing more about the other parent breed will help you get a better idea of what range of potential characteristics to expect. Are mixed-breed dogs healthier than purebred dogs? A Boxer Mix can inherit any combination of the potential health issues common to one or both of their parent breeds. Or, they could inherit none of them. From the Boxer side, potential health conditions include degenerative myelopathy, thyroid deficiency, hip dysplasia, and heart conditions. Boxers also tend to have sensitive digestive systems, which often makes them gassy. As a brachycephalic dog, they will also snort and snore. Because they are a barrel-chested breed, they are also at a higher risk for bloat in dogs. This can become dangerous, especially if the stomach flips, so you want to make sure you reduce the risk when you can and know the symptoms so you can get help as soon as possible. Since reputable breeders screen their dogs to avoid passing issues on to puppies, they should be able to answer your questions. Despite their high energy, Boxers are highly trainable dogs that can be a good fit for owners of any experience level. Because they are intelligent, they pick up on things quickly and can get bored easily. But, they are eager to please their owners and tend to respond well to training. The other parent breed could make a Boxer Mix even easier to train or more difficult to train. You want to make sure you ask the breeder about the other parent breed so you know what range of trainability to expect. A Boxer Mix can end up with a coat similar to one of their parents or a coat that is a combination of both of them. Monthly nail trims are usually enough to keep nails from growing too long. Ears should be dry, clean, and free of debris or pests. Unfortunately, many dog owners overlook dental care, which is why gum disease is one of the most common health issues in dogs. The Boxer is a high-energy dog breed. Daily walks plus playtime and other activities should be enough for this dog. However, they will likely be up for more activity if you are. If the other parent breed is also a high-energy dog breed, then you can expect a Boxer Mix to also be a high-energy dog. However, this is a potential range, so you will still need to be prepared to deal with a Boxer Mix that is high-energy. A Boxer usually stands inches tall and weighs pounds. The other parent breed can affect this, especially if they are the mother, so you do want to ask about them. A Boxer generally lives for years. Although the other parent breed may affect this slightly, you can likely expect a similar life span in a Boxer Mix. Featured Boxer Mix Article. Given that your Pitbull Boxer is neither big nor small, they may like the taste of the best dry dog food for small dogs and the best large breed dry dog food alike, so you might want to offer them both kinds! Pitbull Boxer Mix Exercise Requirements The general advice for most dogs would be to train them while they are young. But in the case of your Pitbull Boxer cross, you have to very cautious. Puppies of large-breed origin that exerts too much energy from running or playing can cause injuries that may last his lifetime. For puppies, activities may be limited to regular short walks or play until it has reached a certain maturity, around one year up to 16 months. As it gets old, the daily exercise requirement will also change. For an adult Pitbull boxer, minutes of exercise should be adequate to maintain good health. It is a very energetic hybrid so they will thrive in a lively environment. An ideal home would mean lots of space to move around, inside or in the backyard. Some states enforce restrictions with regards to Pitbull mixes like your pitbull boxer, so you have to keep it on a leash while out exercising. Using a leash will also prevent them from running into or jumping into everyone they encounter. They are most happy walking around in the city or the Dog Park or even trudging in the mountains. Another essential thing to consider is the weather. During the rainy season, your dog will need a raincoat to protect her from the rain and also to keep her warm. Sunscreen can be used but avoid products with zinc oxide, as it is a poisonous substance. The jacket provides full chest coverage, and the solid print is stylishly chic. The elastic leg straps and adjustable fastener guarantees a snug band comfortable fit. It also features reflectorized stitching so you can see your dog even at night. It is guaranteed durable — it features a galvanized cable and coated with crack-resistant vinyl. It should be able to withstand up to 7x the weight of your dog. My Dog Nose It! Pitbull Boxer Cross Training The combination of Pitbull and Boxer is explosively stubborn, so it is a suitable pet for someone with a firm and unyielding grip in training and socialization. And as always, your dog will react and respond best with positive reinforcement, rewards, and incentives. Punishment will never work, and more often than not, will only create or aggravate behavioral problems. It is essential to reward your pet to encourage positive behavior. Early socialization and training from puppyhood will form the foundation of a well-adjusted dog. Training your Pitbull Boxer should be a piece of cake because of their ability to pick up commands. To get their focus though, you would need to be tough and establish yourself as the master and make him obey you. We listed some training activities you can try out with your petpal: Behavior Training — How do you train him to stop barking mad? Constant practice will help you achieve the desired effect but never shout at him even if he continues to bark. Also, allow him to learn commands other than barking. Keep in mind that the goal is to reward your pup for being silent. Chores Training — Teach him to fetch your newspaper for you. Playing fetch with a toy or a ball should prep your dog for this activity. All you have to do is replace the toy with the newspaper and tech your Pitbull boxer how to get it, pick it up or bring it back to you. Fun Training — Rollover is one activity designed with your big Boxer Pitbull in mind. Start with getting your dog to lie down, and eventually how to roll over. Make sure you reward each action accordingly, and of course, practice makes perfect. Pitbull Boxer Combination And Families The Pitbull Boxer will become accustomed to any family dynamic most especially when trained well and socialized correctly. Their energetic and sometimes rowdy nature can knock off small bodies, so be extra careful if you have kids. There are specific training designed to help you manage this kind of behavior. Check with your local authorities with regards to the legal status of Pitbull mixes in your area. Find out if your Boxer pitbull mix is banned or restricted. Not only will they thrive in large spaces to allow lots of movement, but they will also want owners who will dedicate their time to train and socialize and to love and care for them.

With their signature bat ears and expressive eyes, French Bulldogs, or "Frenchies" as they are lovingly known, have captured the hearts of many dog lovers around the globe, consistently ranking among the most popular breeds. Renowned for their easy maintenance and the ability to thrive in apartment living, French Bulldogs are a city dweller's delight. Their small size, typically weighing under 28 pounds, makes them perfectly suited to compact urban spaces. However, their charming personalities and heartwarming companionship are universally loved, irrespective of city or countryside living. This breed's laid-back nature does not mean they're devoid of fun and play. On the contrary, French Bulldogs can be quite playful and are known for their often comical and entertaining antics, which only further endears them to their owners. Their affectionate demeanor, combined with a remarkably low barking tendency, makes them a joy to have around the house. French Bulldogs are sturdy, compact, and stocky, with a powerful muscular build that contradicts their small size. They have a smooth coat that comes in a variety of colors, from fawn and brindle to white and grey. Their facial expressions are human-like, and they're known to "talk" using a complex system of yawns, yips, and gargles. However, owning a French Bulldog does come with responsibilities. Their brachycephalic short-nosed nature makes them prone to certain health issues and less tolerant of extreme temperatures. Despite their muscular appearance, they are not the best swimmers, and care should be taken around bodies of water. We took our time finding what we feel are the best looking French Bulldogs with great personalities, health, conformation and bloodlines. French Bulldog Puppies in Texas became one of the two breeds we are proud to raise. Also, many French Bulldog studs are incapable of naturally breeding. This is because French Bulldogs have very slim hips, making the male unable to mount the female to reproduce naturally. Typically the male French Bulldog has to be collected and the female has to be artificially inseminated. Before any of this can happen, several blood test are run in order to determine the exact time for insemination. Breeding a French Bulldog is not easy and requires owners who are willing to do things the right way and skillful veterinarians to assist in all of these processes. Our bloodlines include: Ch. By Tom Massey Jul 07, Have your socks ever mysteriously disappeared? However, these brilliant minds failed to consider our fluffy canine pals — notorious stealers of socks. Sure, losing socks in the wash is common, but what if your sock never made it to the wash in the first place? All it takes is a mischievous Golden Retriever with access to dirty laundry. Shirts and pants are too large to fit comfortably in their mouth, but socks are small, soft, and stinky, making them perfect for hiding and retrieving when dogs need comfort and a familiar scent. These dogs were highly intelligent and eager to please their owners. On the hunt, the Wavy-Coated Retriever could seek out the wounded game and softly carry it in its mouth. One day, a man named Dudley Coutts Marjoribanks found a rare yellow Flat-Coated Retriever and set out to create a hunting companion that would rival the renowned black Wavy-Coated Retriever. The product of his dog breeding was the Golden Retriever. But why socks? As hunting dogs, Golden Retrievers love to carry things in their mouths. When you look back into the history of the Golden Retriever, it makes sense that socks would be attractive to this dog breed. But why do they behave this way? Well, it all goes back to your personal scent. It must be important because it smells just like you! However, if your dog ruins your clothes, it might be time to change your routine and reinforce a different behavior. How to Avoid Losing Socks to Your Golden Retriever If you find yourself in a losing battle with your dog over socks, it may be time to change your routine. Our canine friends have an acute sense of smell, up to 10, to , times better than people. Not only that, but dogs can intensely miss their owners while away and will even ignore food to greet their humans. Your dog can munch on this toy while channeling its natural instinct. Also be sure to supervise your golden retriever as they can chew off pieces that could cause blockage. Indestructible chew toys: If you discover socks with mysterious holes, your dog may be chewing on them. When you purchase indestructible chew toys, your dog can keep calm and chew without destroying a toy or clothing. Squeaky toys: Golden Retrievers were bred as hunting companions, and squeaky toys channel this instinct. When owners can keep dogs amused with toys that respond to their bite, the chance of stealing socks will decrease. Try to play fetch with a squeaky toy and see how crazy your Golden Retriever goes! Puzzle toys: These toys will keep your Golden entertained for long periods of time. Puzzle toys dispense treats periodically during play, so your dog spends time trying to obtain treats rather than scouring your bedroom for socks. Providing a Golden Retriever with ample toys can help prevent sock stealing since your dog will be too busy with their belongings to retrieve yours. Step 3: Praise Good Behaviors Dogs thrive off attention — especially our loveable, fluffy Golden pals. If dogs learn that bad behavior yields more attention from their owner, they will begin acting out more frequently. There is a whole field of science dedicated to behavioral training for pet owners. So if your Golden gets attention from chewing on socks, they will continue to do so until they find a better way to grab your awareness. If this becomes a serious problem, consider employing a trained behavior specialist to work with your dog. When you get a Golden Retriever from a reputable breeder, your pup will likely receive some level of behavioral training before entering your household. At Snowy Pines, every English Cream Retriever puppy learns simple commands such as sit, stay, yes, and no , socializes with other pups and humans, and gets basic crate training before going home with you. When you invest in a Golden Retriever puppy with behavioral training, they enter your home eager to please and receive praise. Crates can be a great place for dogs to relax, sleep, and hang out until their owner gets home. White Cream Retriever puppies from Snowy Pines will enter your home with basic crate training, so pups are already accustomed to the space. All you have to do is incorporate your human scent into their crate. Conclusion These hunting dogs are extremely loyal animals, bred specifically for their high intelligence and soft mouth. You may need to invest in some new chew toys and incorporate your personal scent into blankets or bedding. When you adopt a White Cream Retriever puppy from Snowy Pines, your new buddy will enter your household with prior behavioral training. Contact us today to learn more! Share on. Why do Golden Retrievers Love Socks? A Scent Perspective We often forget just how different our perception of the world is compared to our four-legged friends. While we rely predominantly on sight, dogs experience the world in a whirlwind of scents. Imagine, if you can, stepping into a world where every item tells a story, just by its smell. In comparison, humans have a mere 6 million. This powerful sense allows them to detect and identify even the faintest of odors. So, when it comes to our worn socks? And for dogs, that familiarity often comes from scents. Consider these points: Dogs find solace in our scent. It provides them a sense of security and connection. Socks, given their proximity to our skin, absorb a concentrated dose of our personal scent. This makes them particularly appealing to dogs, and especially to scent-driven breeds like Golden Retrievers. For many young Golden Retrievers, this means discovering the joy and relief found in our everyday socks. Just like human babies, those tiny teeth can cause discomfort as they push through the gums. This natural process drives pups to seek out anything and everything to chew on, alleviating some of the soreness. Socks provide a soft cushion for those tender gums. Their texture offers a nice grip, making them an ideal chewy challenge. The weave of a sock allows puppies to get a good bite, providing just enough resistance. When she was a pup, socks were her go-to teething relief. It was a phase, a rite of passage almost every Golden Retriever puppy seems to experience. Playfulness and the Golden Retriever Breed When answering, why do golden retrievers love socks, it is important to know that Golden Retrievers are the embodiment of playful spirit and boundless enthusiasm. From chasing after balls to splashing in puddles, these dogs are the epitome of joy and exuberance. Socks: Not Just Laundry, but Trophies! For a Golden Retriever, anything can become a toy, and socks are no exception. Their stretchy, flexible nature makes socks perfect for a game of tug-of-war. The personal scent imbued within socks adds an element of familiarity, turning a simple sock into a cherished plaything. In the end, for our Golden Retrievers, socks symbolize more than just foot coverings. A Comfort Object? Canine Comforts: Attachments Beyond Toys Much like children clutching their favorite teddy bear or blankie, dogs, too, can develop sentimental attachments to specific objects. Socks are among the most personal items we wear, soaking up our unique scent throughout the day. For many dogs, especially breeds as loyal and affectionate as Golden Retrievers, this scent-laden sock represents more than just an object. By offering enticing alternatives and setting clear boundaries, you can help your furry friend make better choices, keeping both socks and pup happy. Consistency is key: ensure every family member knows and enforces the rules. Consider toys that can be stuffed with treats, giving your dog an incentive to chew on them rather than socks. Rotate toys occasionally to keep their interest piqued. Whenever your Golden Retriever chooses a toy over a sock, shower them with praise or give them a treat. Engage in retrieval games, teaching them to fetch their toys from this dedicated space.

I am a proud dog mom.Spingview Mini Goldendoodles. Welcome to Springview! We had our first litter of Mini Goldendoodles in and in at the request of our many clients, started to breed our Petites. Now we are one of the most respected breeder in the country for Petite Mini English Goldendoodles. Almost all of our clients come from referrals from our wonderful families, many that have two of our Doodles or more! Our site will tell you why. We have chosen to only breed the English lines because they are shown to be much healthier due to the strict breeding policies in Europe that result in less inbreeding which can cause disease plus, we just love the broad boning and wonderful coats they give us. The English lines are also known for their very gentle and laid back temperaments. We are located in beautiful Palm Beach County Florida. We are NOT a kennel, all of our dogs live as family members in our home or with their loving Guardian Families. Our puppies are born in our home where they are loved and snuggled and stay in our home until they go to yours. They are never put out into another building or area to live. Most breeders house their dogs in kennels, garages or barns, it is just easier. We choose not to, period. Our puppies are raised in a home just like yours so that they are used to normal home life with noise, music, people and dogs. All of our parents are raised in loving homes, either here with us, or in the homes of our approved guardian families. Our dogs have all the love they can handle and sleep in our rooms and on our beds. It is shown that temperament can indeed be passed down to puppies from their parents and we firmly believe that home raised dogs that are a valuable part of a loving family are the most well adjusted and tend to have the most mellow temperaments, therefore produce the most stable tempered puppies. Most of our puppies will range from pounds. Occasionally we will have a litter with some small Minis but we breed mostly Petites only. Each litter pairing may vary slightly. We specialize in the hard to find colors like our stunning dark apricots and amazing mahogany red. This also lets us get the size our clients desire without compromising the pedigree of the dog by adding other breeds to achieve our goal. Our puppies are from English Golden Retriever lines and Poodles only. Many Doodle breeders are now infusing Cocker Spaniel or Cockapoo into their lines to fix coats or get a smaller size since Cockers have short legs. They may be cute with their big eyes but a small amount of research will show you that Spaniels do not always have the best temperaments. Since we breed for health and temperament first, we never infuse Spaniels, Cockapoos or other breeds into our dogs. Please visit our Springview Mini Goldendoodle Facebook page! Families on our waiting lists or those with our puppies are welcome to join our Springview Families Facebook page and see stories and pictures from our families! Temperament and health, are the cornerstones of our breeding program and one of the reasons our puppies are consistently in such high demand. Breeding is not a hobby for me, it is my passion and I feel my calling in life; I take breeding very seriously. Our parents all have wonderful, gentle, very loving temperaments. We pride ourselves on being one of the most responsible breeders of Petite and Mini Goldendoodles to be found. All of our dogs must pass not one, but many rigorous health tests before we even think of breeding them. Please do your research and purchase the healthiest dog you can, if not from us then from a breeder who tests their breeding dogs so you can be assured of the healthiest puppy possible. All of our parents are tested for eye diseases with a special DNA test for two kinds of PRA prcd which is a hereditary disease which renders affected dogs totally blind. We not only test for the Poodle mutation but also the new test for Goldendoodles. This hereditary disease can not be detected prior to onset in any other way other than DNA testing and we test every single dog that is not proven clear by parentage meaning the parents have been tested and found to be clear. Our dogs also get a CERF exam by a special canine ophthalmologist to look for hidden eye diseases that can be passed down to offspring like cataracts. All of our dogs get certified to have clear and healthy hearts with a cardiac exam. All of our parents have their hips, elbows and patellas x-rayed by a certified OFA Vet and the x-rays are sent to OFA for independent expert evaluation. We are very proud of the structure and coats we have been able to achieve with our Petite and Mini Goldendoodles! We have been able to consistently achieve very blocky builds with amazing plush soft coats. Our coats can vary from wavy to curly, but our curly Minis are not Poodly looking at all. Our pups have wonderful strong bone structure, a testament to the wonderful genetics of our parents. We stand behind our exceptional dogs and offer a full two year Genetic Health Warranty on all of our puppies. Do they offer a full refund or partial? All of our puppies are handled daily from birth and given loads of love, cuddling and positive stimulation. When they are old enough, usually at 4 weeks of age, they spend their days in the main part of our home, in a large play area complete with toys, climbers and slide, adjusting to life with lots of fun activity and a variety of different noises. None of our dogs or puppies are ever kept in a kennel, basement or barn. It is a well known fact that home raised dogs have better temperaments than dogs raised in kennels. Our puppies are born and raised in our home until they go home to you. During the day, they get outside time to play in their own beautiful puppy play area to run and play with an assortment of toys and climbing things. We practice Early Neural Stimulation techniques on all of our puppies! This is an essential and very important ingredient in achieving a well balanced, socialized puppy. Please note that we are not affiliated nor do we sell to any Goldendoodle or Puppy Brokers in Florida or anywhere else. It is well known that puppies purchased from puppy broker sites are almost always from puppy mills. Their puppy mill operations can be very well disguised through these sites and even sites of their own. A quality, reputable breeder does not have trouble selling their own puppies and will never use a broker. One of the largest puppy mill brokers found on the internet disguises themselves as local breeders. They have over separate websites! These puppy broker puppies are actually from puppy mills, the same puppy mills that supply all of the pet stores that sell puppies. Springview is the Anti Puppy Mill! It used to be that purchasing a puppy over the internet was always from a broker or mill but that has changed now that most businesses are found on the web so it is super important to do your homework and make sure that you are working with a professional reputable breeder that loves and cares for their puppies in the same manner that you would. We have made it easy for you to see how we care about what we do. We specialize in breeding Mini Goldendoodles as well as a few other breeds. We also have partnered up with several other high quality breeders that raise mini goldendoodle pups that meet our strict genetic criteria and testing. So we usually have a good selection of very high quality puppies. View Our Available Puppies! Not all mini Goldendoodles are equal, there are a few different versions to choose from each having a little different genetic background based on the pups parents. We will explain all the differences in Mini Goldendoodle puppies and how they are bred below. We raise all versions of the mini goldendoodle breed. F1 Mini Goldendoodle Pups. A F1 puppy is also known as a First Generation puppy. The puppies mother is a Golden Retriever and the pups dad is a Mini Poodle. This version of mini goldendoodle usually has soft wavy or curly puppy fur. They will shed until they lose their puppy fur, after shedding they will shed a lot less, but will shed. This version is partially hypoallergenic and usually requires low maintenance. F1 mini goldendoodles usually need to be groomed every 6 months along with daily brushing to keep their curly hair from matting and getting tangled. The dogs usually grow up having great temperaments similar to golden retrievers. They usually get about inches high at the shoulder and range in weight from pounds. F1b Mini Goldendoodle Pups. An F1b is known as a second-generation mini goldendoodle with the pups mother being already an F1 Goldendoodle and the pups dad being a mini poodle also. So the difference between F1 and F1b is that the mom is not a golden retriever but an actual F1 Goldendoodle. They also have very soft curly hair but with almost no shedding. This F1b version is semi-hypoallergenic and a better choice for anyone who has pet allergies. The F1b also should be brushed on a daily basis but will need to be groomed more frequently then a F1. A 6 to 8 week grooming schedule is recommended to keep their coat in perfect condition. F1b Mini goldendoodles get around 18 to 20 inches tall at the shoulders and range between pounds in weight. F1bb Mini Goldendoodle Pups. An F1bb goldendoodle is also known as a third-generation mini goldendoodle. This mini goldendoodle version has a coat more similar to a poodle than of a golden retriever. This is because the pup is more of a poodle than a retriever. Making it the very best version for anyone with pet allergies. A 6 to 8 week grooming schedule is required to help prevent knots or matting. This version is super intelligent and loving, and usually seems to have more energy than the other versions of Mini goldendoodles. This version is usually smaller in size, weighing around pounds and only getting inches tall at the shoulders. The smaller size makes them a great size for smaller homes and apartments. Below are some Mini Goldendoodle Pups that have been adopted! You want to choose one carefully as their breeding practices will have an impact on the temperament and health of your Mini Goldendoodle puppy. Start by looking at online sources such as Google reviews, online forums, discussion groups and social media platforms to see what other people are saying about the breeder. Did they have a good experience buying from them? To take your research a bit further, you can ask Goldendoodle organizations and clubs based in your area about their opinion of the breeder you are considering to purchase from. Many Goldendoodle clubs also have their own lists of responsible breeders so they can give you additional recommendations for good Mini Goldendoodle breeders. You may also consider visiting some dog shows and events as they are a good opportunity to meet breeders in person and see their Mini Goldendoodles. You can also ask other dog owners that are showing their Mini Goldendoodles for breeder recommendations. Finally, ask potential breeders for references and consider contacting these people to ask about their experience with the breeder. Reputable breeders always prioritize the well-being of their dogs and strive for positive reviews. You should inquire about temperament and health of the Mini Goldendoodles these people purchased. Use this information to make an informed decision. All reputable Mini Goldendoodle breeders conduct them on their breeding dogs — whether they are breeding from purebred Golden Retrievers for F1 Goldendoodles and Poodles or from Goldendoodles for later generations like F2 Goldendoodles. A stipulates the health testing requirements for Goldendoodles and if the breeder is registered with G. A, you know that the breeding dogs have undergone full health testing. A heart clearance O. Ask to see documentation of these clearances before purchasing from a Mini Goldendoodle breeder. All responsible breeders should be willing to provide any health documentation. They should also be happy to answer any questions you have about their breeding program. However, if you have the opportunity to check out the facilities you should do it. Check that the kennels are clean, that they dogs and puppies have access to fresh water and also that there is not a build up of feces or urine. Comfortable living conditions: The breeder should keep their Mini Goldendoodles, Golden Retrievers and Poodles in comfortable living conditions. They should have large, comfortable kennels or dog beds and also have a decent amount of space to exercise and socialize with other dogs. Healthy breeding dogs and puppies: If you get the opportunity to meet the parents of the Mini Goldendoodle litter you are interested in, make sure they are well-tempered and also healthy. Sometimes the mother will be quite protective of her puppies so she may show signs of aggression. If you are purchasing a puppy online and getting it delivered, ask if the breeder would be happy to video call you or send videos of their Mini Goldendoodle puppies and breeding dogs to you. Ask About Socialization Mini Goldendoodle breeders should begin the socialization process before their puppies are sold. The puppies should be exposed to a wide variety of sounds, experiences, people and places so they can adjust to their new homes and adult life. Nevertheless, they should start exposing them to sounds like household appliances, provide mental stimulation with toys and games and also encourage playtime and interactions with their littermates and family. The most common ones are: Lack of registration: If a Mini Goldendoodle breeder cannot provide registration papers or other relevant documentation, it may be a sign that they are not operating a reputable breeding program. Overbreeding: Think twice about purchasing from a Mini Goldendoodle breeder who always has puppies available or offers an excessive amount of dog breeds. This may suggest that the breeder is overly focused on profit instead of the health and wellbeing of their puppies. Lack of health checks: A reputable Mini Goldendoodle breeder will conduct health clearances on their breeding dogs to ensure they are free of genetic health issues that could be passed on. If a breeder cannot provide documentation of these health checks, it may be a sign that they are not prioritizing health. Further Reading.
All the puppies are raised in a loving family environment on their rural homestead. Personal Experience One of the most challenging aspects of bringing your puppy home is potty training him. The first thing to know is that you must start potty training your furbaby from the minute you get him home. When we arrived home with our new puppy, the first thing we did was take him straight out into the garden. As soon as the little guy relieved himself, I made a big fuss of him, and then we went indoors. Mark The Spot! That enabled me to grab the puppy and take him outside before accidents happened. Gradually, Raffles learned where his poop place was, and he quickly gravitated to the spot where the first potty stop was. After a couple of weeks, the accidents became less frequent, and by week four, little Raffles was pretty much potty trained! If you did, please remember to share! Goldendoodles are extremely popular dogs, so you can expect to pay top dollar for a well-bred puppy. Puppies offered for sale at very cheap prices are often from puppy mills or backyard breeders. Sandy Ridge Miniature Goldendoodle is a leader in the breeding of healthy, happy, and intelligent mini goldendoodles. Our experience with raising miniature goldendoodle puppies has given us much insight on genetics involved and the overall characterizations of this breed. Our family lives in a relaxed rural setting where our adults and puppies are given much attention and care. In settling on the miniature goldendoodle as the breed for Sandy Ridge, we put much consideration into the qualities we were looking for in our puppies. Below are outlined some of the leading criteria required in our search for the perfect breed — miniature goldendoodle. Our priorities for our mini goldendoodle puppies include: health, temperament, coat quality, size, and appearance. Health Our mini goldendoodle puppies are raised from our experience with genetics involved to be the healthiest we can possibly produce. Through our testing and experience, we do everything we feel possible to eliminate health problems for our mini goldendoodle puppies. Our utmost desire is to produce healthy mini goldendoodle puppies that are able to live long and happy lives. In the unfortunate situation a health problem does arise, we offer a two year genetic guarantee against debilitating genetic defects in our miniature goldendoodles. Temperament In our search for the perfect breed, a mild yet playful disposition was our goal. We could not be happier with the success in the miniature goldendoodle temperament. Playfulness and interaction is the motivation for the activity of a mini goldendoodle. While playful in action, a mini goldendoodle is as equally interactive in the mild manner of quiet and caressing attention. Showing the temperament of contentment, a miniature goldendoodle will often be found lounging by their human friends or patiently waiting for attention. Children typically find an inseparable friend and adults find companionship in a miniature goldendoodle. Coat Quality The quest for the perfect breed cannot be completed without the characteristics of a low shedding coat. Miniature goldendoodles gather the quality well known from the poodle breed of hair instead of fur. While we cannot guarantee a mini goldendoodle will not shed, our mini goldendoodle puppies show low to non-shedding characteristics. We have experience raising miniature and standard labradoodles, but never found the consistency evident in the mini goldendoodle coat. Due to this experience, we no longer raise labradoodles and recommend interested families to consider our experience in your decision. Size Sandy Ridge also has experience raising standard size goldendoodles, but we were looking for a size of goldendoodle that fits into the family setting. A mini goldendoodle is well adapted to any size of living space, whether an intercity apartment, suburban home, or sprawling farm. Our first generation mini goldendoodles F1 miniature goldendoodles are typically lbs as adults, which is a mid size dog. Our first generation backcross mini goldendoodles F1b miniature goldendoodles are typically lbs as adults, which is a smaller medium breed dog. Our multigen miniature goldendoodles are our smallest size that are typically lbs as adults. Appearance Our experience with genetics of miniature poodles and golden retrievers has shown a vast difference in the appearance of dogs from both breeds and the mini goldendoodle result. We do not prefer a miniature goldendoodle that favors the look of the tradition poodle and most goldendoodles long nose, long legs, and slender bodies. While not easy, we have selected adults for our breeding that give us mini goldendoodles with solid bodies, shorter noses, and teddy bear faces. Many families have come to appreciate our teddy bear miniature goldendoodles that are unique to Sandy Ridge. Purchasing Please email for current pricing of our miniature goldendoodles. All puppies picked up will be charged Iowa sales tax. Contact Us Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. Intestinal parasites like hookworms, whipworms, roundworms and tapeworms, fleas and ticks can threaten the well-being of the French bulldogs. So, we must protect them and prevent the parasites from infecting them. Deworming should be done on a monthly or quarterly basis to protect the health of your frenchies. As the name suggests, deworming means to prevent your dog against diseases that parasites can cause in the body. These parasites can be contracted through feces, raw meat or infected soil. Some intestinal parasites can remain dormant for many years before infecting your French bulldog. There is also a possibility of the parasites being passed on from a pregnant or nursing mother to her puppies. For this reason, veterinarians advise dog owners to deworm puppies after they are born and the following months too. The four common intestinal parasites that infect French bulldogs are roundworms, hookworms, whipworms and tapeworms. Roundworm infection It is common for French bulldogs to be infected by roundworms at one time or the other. This infection can be caused by ingesting eggs or larvae from the infected environment or animal tissues. Disease caused by roundworm infection in young puppies can be severe. This infection can result in an inability to gain weight, a dull hair coat, and a potbelly. Roundworms can be passed on from pregnant or nursing mothers. The eggs develop into larvae that can go on to infect another dog. These eggs can also infect earthworms, rats, and mice and when they are consumed by French bulldogs, they grow into adult roundworms inside the dog. Once the Frenchie is infected, it can pass numerous worm eggs in its stool and they can survive for many months in the surrounding. These eggs cannot be killed by chlorine bleach; they can only be killed by an aqueous iodine solution. It is a good practice to clean up the Frenchie stools daily to prevent the eggs from spreading infections. Hookworm Infection Hookworms can infect French bulldogs by ingesting its larvae from the contaminated surroundings. The larvae can penetrate the skin of the Frenchie if they roll on the infected soil. Hookworm infection can cause anemia, diarrhea and even death in some cases. Cleaning up the Frenchie stools daily can help prevent this infection to some extent. Whipworm Infection French bulldogs can be infected by ingesting whipworm eggs from the affected surroundings. Whipworm infections can result in diarrhea, dehydration and even death. Whipworm eggs can survive in the environment for more than a year. Whipworm can be killed by milbemycin but it cannot be killed by other preventive medications. Whipworms are more difficult to kill when compared to roundworms and hookworms. Tapeworms Tapeworms can be ingested by consuming fleas and rodents that are already infected. Flea control measures can eliminate tapeworm infection, though it can be difficult to control French bulldogs when they hunt for fleas or rodents on their own. Contact your veterinary to get the best dewormer for your puppy. A French bulldog can acquire a heartworm disease if an infected mosquito bites it. The parasite can enter the dog through the tissue and then reach the bloodstream, from where it can affect the heart and lungs. This disease is transmitted through mosquitoes from one dog to another. It can be life-threatening, if not treated on time. Symptoms include coughing, difficulty breathing and being sluggish. Heart and lungs can be severely damaged without proper treatment. Heartworms can develop inside the infected dog for five to seven years. The worms can breed and die inside the body all these years. During this time, your dogs would be fighting the damage caused by the heartworms. Panoramis can kill the heartworms before they mature into adulthood. To prevent your Frenchie from getting infected from all these parasites, cleanliness is the key. So you can prevent the parasites from infecting the French bulldog. Start an annual worming routine for your Frenchie and follow up regularly. Young Frenchies who are two weeks old requires to be wormed every two to three weeks till they are twelve weeks old. Updated: Nov 28, Deworming is the key to health for our little French bulldogs. The most frequent are external parasites such as fleas, ticks, mosquitoes transmitting leishmaniosis that we all know as well as mosquitoes that can infect them, but there are many more within the group of internal parasites such as intestinal worms, tapeworm and a series of diseases directly related to this. You should not only deworm your french bulldog when you detect that it has fleas for example, is always more important to prevent than cure, and be rigorous in the possible measures with their deworming process. Deworming should be done on a monthly or quarterly basis to protect the health of your Frenchie. Internal deworming Intestinal parasites are worms. They live in your dog's body, growing to adulthood in the intestinal tract. In some cases, intestinal parasites can be passed from a pregnant or nursing mother to her puppies, which is why most veterinarians recommend worming puppies should be every two weeks until twelve weeks of age, then monthly until six months of age. After six months all dogs need to be wormed every three months for effective protection. Good cleanliness as well as common sense is the greatest option to stop the dogs from getting parasites inside them. Keep feces picked up outdoors on your own lawn, and stop your canine from eating other dog's feces. Restrict your dog from drinking water in contaminated creeks, or perhaps water that is stagnant in small pools. Practice adequate flea control to maximum the likelihood of tapeworms, and also make sure your own dog has a hygienic, un-crowded environment to decrease the chances of developing coccidia. Four of the common types of intestinal parasites in dogs are roundworms, hookworms, whipworms and Tapeworms. External deworming The external deworming usually conditioned by the change of season that causes a climate change and favors more or less parasites in the environment and the environment of your french bulldog such as fleas, ticks and mosquitoes that transmit diseases in many very serious cases. You should protect your frenchie with external antiparasitics on a monthly basis. They are just like the internals in pet stores, repellents of these parasites like collars, sprays and pipettes. Pipettes and sprays have a shorter duration than necklaces that last for more months, but sometimes combining them can be a good prevention. Your veterinarian or shop specialist will tell you what dose we should put the pipettes according to the size, weight and age of your dog. Call Vic Kasser or Email! In a word, intestinal parasites are worms. They live in your dog's body, growing to adulthood in the intestinal tract. In some cases, intestinal parasites can be passed from a pregnant or nursing mother to her puppies, which is why most veterinarians recommend worming puppies shortly after birth and for several months afterwards. Good cleanliness as well as common sense is the greatest option to stop the dogs from getting parasites inside them. Keep feces picked up outdoors on your own lawn, and stop your canine from eating other dog's feces. Restrict your dog from drinking drinking water in contaminated creeks, or perhaps water that is stagnant in small pools. Roundworm Infection Most dogs have roundworms Toxocara canis, cati or leonina at some time in their life. Dogs can become infected with roundworm by ingesting infective eggs from a contaminated environment or ingesting larvae in tissues of other animals. Disease in dogs caused by infection with roundworm is most severe in young pups. Puppies can become infected before birth, or when suckling, and these infections are associated with failure to gain weight, and a poor hair coat; a pot-bellied appearance is also commonly observed. Severe infections in neonatal pups can result in acute death at a few days of age. These worms can be passed to puppies while they are in the uterus and while they are nursing. Eggs that are passed can develop into larvae that are capable of directly infecting another dog. The eggs may also infect an intermediate host, such as earthworms, mice, rats and moles and then when this creature is eaten by the dog develop into adult roundworms in the dog. Roundworms have a strange life cycle, migrating out of the intestine and into the lungs and other organs before returning to the intestines. Once infected, a dog may pass millions of worm eggs in the stool. The eggs can live for several months in the environment. They are sensitive to ultraviolet light, so pens which are exposed to direct sunlight do not support the life cycle of the worm as well as more protected pens. Roundworm eggs can be killed by using aqueous iodine solution Clinics of North America, November but are not killed by chlorine bleach, although it is supposed to remove the sticky outer coating of the worm, making it easier to cleanse them from infected areas. If your adult dogs are on heartworm prevention medications there is a good chance that they are being dewormed with a medication that can kill roundworms on a monthly basis, which should be sufficient to prevent any real worry over them getting infected, especially since dogs become more resistant to infection with roundworms as they get older. Cleaning up stools daily prevents the spread of the eggs pretty efficiently and is a good practice to prevent infections. Hookworm Infection Hookworms Ancylcostoma or Uncinaria are less common than roundworms but are still a major problem in southern areas of the U. Ancyclostoma and not too uncommon in the more northern areas Ancyclostoma and Uncinaria. Hookworm infection is associated with anaemia, haemorrhagic enteritis, diarrhea and death in serious cases. Hookworms eggs develop into larvae which can pass through the skin or be ingested and cause infection. The eggs and larvae are susceptible to sunlight and drying. There used to be a product sold that would treat infected dirt pens and kill the hookworm eggs but I have not seen it for at least ten years. The heartworm prevention medications Heartgard Plus tm , Revolution tm and Interceptor tm kill hookworms, so dogs on these preventative medications are also being treated for hookworms monthly, which should be sufficient to prevent problems with them, as well. If you are not in a heartworm area monitoring stool samples every few months and treating if you find evidence of infection should be sufficient to prevent major problems from these worms. Cleaning up the stools daily also helps to prevent the spread of hookworms. I do not know how long hookworm larvae live in the environment, but I think they are not as hardy as roundworm eggs and larvae. There is no intermediate host to worry about, either. Whipworm Infection Whipworms Trichuris vulpis in dogs has the most environmentally resistant eggs of all the worms. Dogs can become infected with whipworms by ingesting whipworm eggs from a contaminated environment. Many whipworm infections are asymptomatic, but can result in bloody diarrhoea, weight loss, dehydration and, in severe cases, death. The eggs of this worm can live for longer than a year in the environment. They are susceptible to drying and sunlight. The Clinics of North America issue recommends treating concrete pens with a horticultural flame gun to kill the eggs, which I suppose might work on dirt, as well. This worm is killed by milbemycin, the ingredient in Interceptor Rx heartworm prevention but is not killed by the other monthly preventative medications. Therefore, it is more important to monitor fecal samples for evidence of the worm. The time from infection to the appearance of worm eggs in the stool is over two months, though -- so it can take awhile to know if this worm will become a problem when there is potential contamination of the soil. Whipworms are harder to kill than roundworms and hookworms or at least fewer medications do it successfully. We use fenbendazole Panacur Rx for whipworm therapy but there are other medications that will work. Your vet will have one that he or she likes to use. Tapeworms are usually acquired by eating infected fleas Dipylidium caninum or small rodents or rabbits Taenia species. Good flea control eliminates most problems with tapeworms except in dogs who are allowed to run free or to hunt small animals at times. Uses: A broad spectrum anthelmintic for the treatment of domestic dogs and cats infected with immature and mature stages of nematodes of the gastro-intestinal and respiratory tracts. What is Heartworm Disease? Heartworm infection is acquired by a dog through the bite of an infected mosquito. The parasite penetrates the tissue of an infected dog then migrates to the dog's bloodstream from which it enters the heart and lungs. Risks of heartworm disease Heartworm disease harms your dog Heartworm disease is transmitted from dog to dog through mosquitoes. It can affect dogs throughout Australia and can be fatal if left untreated. Clinical signs can include coughing, sluggishness and difficulty breathing, though some dogs might show no outward, clinical signs at all. Over time, however, damage to your dog's heart and lungs can be severe. During all that time, the worms are living, breeding, and dying. And your dog's body has to fight the effects of the damage they do. Heartworms and humans Although rare, heartworms can occasionally infect humans, too. You cannot, however, catch the disease directly from your dog. Human dirofilariasis results in nodular inflammation of the lungs. Infections have also been recorded in the eye, skin, testicles, and elsewhere. Coccidia is a worm like microscopic intestinal parasite which commonly causes diarrhea in pups, but can affect older canines alongside compromised resistant systems. Coccidia is distribute from dog to dog through eggs in the stool, contaminating water and additionally environment. Some dogs can have a small quantity of coccidia in their intestinal tract, however the organism flourishes if the pup is below stress for example overcrowded, unsanitary conditions , leading to diarrhea. Coccidia can feel diagnosed with a veterinary microscopic fecal flotation, and ought to be suspected in any dog alongside diarrhea that doesn't reply to traditional roundworm treatment. Giardia is a water borne intestinal parasite which a lot more commonly affects adult canines causing diarrhea; it is sometimes known since 'beaver fever'. Giardia gets into water via contamination by wild animals for example beavers and additionally afflicted canines. The giardia cysts increase in the intestinal tract, leading to the indicators of diarrhea alongside blood or mucous inside the stool. It is a really difficult parasite to diagnose in veterinary practice, so many clinicians might just treat your canine because of it by way of a traditional anti-giardia drugs. Worming Your French Bulldog Worming your dog on a regular basis is essential to protect them against internal parasites. The worming involves administering the medication in liquid or tablet form. Adult dogs need to be wormed a minimum of once per year, however once every six months is strongly preferred. Dogs showing any signs of infection should be wormed immediately and all breeding bitches are to be wormed prior to mating. Ascarids are particularly harmful to puppies because they can penetrate the gut wall and pass via the blood to the liver and then to the lungs. From there they can crawl up the trachea to be coughed up and swallowed ending up back in the gut. Infected puppies are at a much higher risk for developing hepatitis, pneumonia, fits and gut obstructions. Regular puppy worming treatment is vital. As puppies get older, the worms will travel to the muscles where they can form cysts. These worms can lie dormant until the dog becomes pregnant. They can then migrate to the lungs and this is why virtually every puppy is born with roundworms and must be wormed very regularly at a young age. Roundworms can infect humans, and in a low number of cases they can cause disease. Proper hygiene and common sense concerning children and puppies should control the transmission of worms to humans. Because these worms tickle the dogs anus, if you see your dog scooting, you may want to visually inspect the feces and treat it as soon as possible. Worms in French bulldogs, how do you know about worms in French bulldogs? There is a reason that year after year, the Labrador Retriever is the most popular dog breed in the United States. The history of the Labrador Retriever dates back to the early s in Newfoundland, just off the Atlantic coast of Canada. Had these families not played a vital part in the continuation of the breed, the loving and affectionate Labs we have all grown to love may not exist today. The first recognized Yellow Labrador Retriever was born in .One of the friendliest breeds out there, Yellow Labs are great companions and love to be a part of the family. While the color yellow is part of their namesake, their coats range from fawn or cream to butterscotch or a deep golden hue. Coming into popularity during the midth century, the Yellow Labrador Retriever has been a staple for hunters and family homes alike ever since. These dogs are patient and kind when faced with energetic young ones. Yellow Labs delight in big spaces, opting to run and play wildly. However, they will happily lounge on the couch after having a long, hard run outside. When given a little training, they can easily learn to control barking habits and restrain themselves from digging. Their double coat also makes them a good fit for just about any climate. As with most dogs, they are sensitive to extreme heat or cold. Generally speaking, Labradors are healthy. They can develop certain inherent conditions, along with cataracts and kneecap displacement, but will remain healthy overall. As long as they are taken to their vet appointments with regularity, Labs will usually feel just fine. Yellow Labs are loyal companions with few drawbacks. Treats never hurt, of course. This, paired with their eagerness to please, makes them a highly trainable dog breed that is a good fit for owners of any experience level. With minimal training, these dogs can control their barking and digging without much trouble. Labs have very short, double-layered, and water-resistant fur. Its density protects them from the cold, so they will often try to swim any time of year. They experience heavier seasonal shedding twice a year and slight shedding throughout the year. Giving them a good brush once a week or a few times a week should keep their coats shiny and healthy. Other grooming tasks include nail trimming, ear care, and dental care. Proper dental care for dogs includes brushing their teeth or using an enzyme toothpaste every day. This helps prevent the tartar buildup that causes dental diseases like gum disease and tooth decay. You can also supplement your dental care efforts with dental hygiene chews, a special dental care diet, and more. This breed tends to be very active. They were bred to be working dogs and need exercise. A few daily walks and some time to run should help assuage their energy levels. Yellow Labs also need a fair amount of mental activity as well; they like to stay sharp. Yellow Labs are classified as medium to large dogs. They reach an average height of 23 inches and an average healthy weight of 75 pounds. A Yellow Labrador Retriever generally lives years. It was traditional in Newfoundland for every fishing boat to have a Labrador Retriever that would help retrieve the fish as they came in off the trawl. Featured Yellow Labrador Retriever Article. We are located in Pine Bush, NY. We are a family run operation. My husband Michael, my mother Julie, and myself give all we can give to our dogs and the raising of these puppies. Julie is an especially huge part of my life, and my dogs lives today. She started breeding Dobermans in .In the late 90's when I was a child we were gifted two Silky Terriers by my father, after the loss of my first dog, Shadow - a field spaniel. Like we are today, we have always been at-home breeders. It was a wonderful experience. With the guidance of our vet, we helped whelp birth , and socialize all of their puppies, and placed them into happy homes - many of whom were our neighbors, family and friends. Sparky, the last of our silky's from our first litter, passed away in at the ripe old age of 19!! We are so thankful for their long lives and good health, which we credit to their diet of mostly steamed or roasted chicken, good breeding practices, and happy home life. We researched many breeds, but kept coming back to the Mini Goldendoodle. That's when we found our Lola, and fell in love with Goldendoodles. They are smart, loving, low to non-shedding, playful and very good with children. Today, my mother and I combine our years of experience of raising and training dogs in our Goldendoodle program. We have a unique understanding of developing healthy packs thanks to our years of breeding the Silkys. If you are considering getting a second dog, we can help you select the right fit for not only you, but for your current pooch. Pack dymanics should always be taken into consideration. Lola is an F1B petite Goldendoodle - to be technical. You can read about our mom's and dad's under the "Parents" tab at the top of this page. Use the link below to view our upcoming litters page.
