But, even with testing, they cannot always be avoided. St Bernard Lab Mix Lifespan Studies show that mixed breed dogs live, on average, longer than purebred breeds. But, the best way to predict a ballpark figure is still to look at the parent breeds. Fortunately, there are several studies that examine lifespan in purebred dogs.
