I kept the hemostat on the cord for about 2 minutes to let it clout. The umbilical cord dries up quickly and then within a day or 2 it falls off. Raven was a good mama and took care of her poops. Please be aware that there are pet stores and websites advertising each breed of dog claiming to be a 'breeder directory' but they are actually puppymills. One on one handlings are happily continued and the human-canine bond is reinforced. Toward the end of this stage their individual personalities are now beginning to shine through. They are now craving a lot more individual attention and proper socialization is critical. Your puppy will be ready to go home at 8 weeks.
