The red patches are usually located on their ears, around their eyes and on their backs. The patches can be anywhere from a light red to a deep, dark red. Phantom Poodles have a coat with a solid background and a secondary color in patches in very specific locations. These locations include the chin, throat, chest, legs, beneath their tail, above their eyes or on the sides of their muzzle.
