If you decide to go with a dog shampoo, choose a mild formulated shampoo for sensitive skin; your vet may have some good recommendations. French Bulldogs are short-haired and have a single coat; so, fortunately, they do not shed as much as most breeds. Brushing their coat regularly with a rubber brush will remove any dead or loose hair — which in turn, will reduce the amount of shedding. Our vet also recommended vitamin E just squeeze a little of the capsule , which we have found to work very well. The guillotine is the easiest to use. The instructions that come with the clippers will guide you on how to use the instrument. Light claws are easier to cut than dark claws as the blood vessels and nerves that supply the toenail, called the quick, is easier to see. Cut the toenail to within approximately 2 mm of the quick. If you cut into the quick, the toenail will bleed and the dog will experience pain — nothing serious, but they might not sit too still the next time you undertake this task. When cutting dark toenails, it is better to cut just a little off at a time. F1 Labradoodles can inherit either coat type, but creating multigen litters from proven non-shedding Labradoodle lines increases the odds of puppies with non-shedding coats. But using the friendliest F1 Labradoodles to create an F2 generation, and using the friendliest individuals from that generation to create an F3 generation, increases the odds of multigen Labradoodles also being exceptionally friendly. What About Multigenerational Mini Labradoodles? The first Labradoodles were a Labrador and Standard Poodle mix. They varied in size from 40 to 80 pounds. Since then, interest in Labradoodles with a Miniature Poodle parent has also increased. Miniature Poodles weigh just 10 to 15 pounds, which means the potential range of adult sizes in a litter of F1 Mini Labradoodle puppies is wide. Creating a litter of F1b Mini Labradoodle puppies with one Mini Labradoodle parent and one Mini Poodle parent increases the likelihood of small, non-shedding puppies. And producing multigenerational Mini Labradoodles after that will further decrease the likelihood of puppies over a certain size in each litter. Labradors and Poodles are both prone to some genetic health problems, and in particular hereditary orthopedic diseases such as hip and elbow dysplasia. All Labradors and Poodles used for breeding should first be tested and cleared for: hip dysplasia eye disease and the faulty gene that causes exercise induced collapse. We all know how adorable pugs can be. However, if you are a true pug lover, you possibly know about their stenotic nares brachycephalic syndrome problems. It happens when breeders have crossed pure pugs for over five generations. Their nostrils become narrower than regular dog nostrils, and this often causes them to snort and snore even when they are awake. Out-crossing pugs with bigger breeds like the Rottweiler or breeds with prominent snouts helps in the redressal of the breathing problems in the subsequent generations. However, breeding a pug with other bigger breeds is obviously not an easy task. Pugs can be pesky little fellas who are more interested in playing with larger breeds and dominating them. Getting a pug male to mate with a Rottweiler female is impossible. Experts inseminate the Rottweiler female using pug sperm. The resulting puppies score out of on the cuteness meter. They are completely healthy, and they are also free from the breathing problems and joint problems common to purebred pugs. Finding a breeder that offers Rottweiler and pug mixes is tricky.
