I have owned and trained Labradors since .My wife and I have been breeding Labradors since for the sole purpose of improving the Labrador breed as a whole. When I first thought about breeding Labs, one of my early mentors, the late George Kane, told me his definition. Now, more than two decades later, we bring to light that definition with every decision we make. Dogs that we personally own have competed in more than 1, stakes in just the last ten years. Why go to all that time, trouble and expense? Because that Sire or Dam is only as good as their last series or stake they ran in. So, week in and week out, you can find our Sires and Dams competing in various venues all over America and Canada. You always have and always will, set the standard for other breeders to follow. You certainly have the records and so many accomplishments to prove it. I never thought about it that way. Nothing comes easy, and we always take the road less traveled. The good Lord has blessed us with so much. Scooter earned his first advanced title at 10 months of age and his MH title at 21 months and 5 days old. Have you ever gone to a hunt test or field trial, and learned that you had the youngest dog competing in that event? It sure makes you feel very proud and blessed. Simply amazing! Again, we are so blessed. Scooter went on to qualify for four National Field Trial Championships. I am not sure how many Fox Reds can say they qualified for more. We have a support team of multiple awesome professional trainers and great friends who share our unquenchable passion for helping Black Ice Retrievers produce the most intelligent decorated pointing Labradors in the country. We take the responsibility, investment, and extensive research, which all go along with our goal, extremely serious. Sometimes, we have waited close to three years across multiple repeat breedings just to get the exact one pick of the litter we desire. I grew up hunting ducks off of the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers in St. This is where if your lab could not handle multiple marks and blinds, you and your dog were not invited back. We have some of the highest standards in the industry. While other lab kennels breed great grandchildren, grandchildren, and daughters of well accomplished dogs, we only have litters from dogs that are well accomplished themselves. Why do breeders promote puppies from unproven parents? Second, the testing of the dog takes time, effort, and investment. You need to decide for yourself what type of buyer you are and then do your research. This industry is very competitive, and you can buy a lab from just about anywhere, but you get what you pay for. Our best customers are families who simply want the best possible dog for the dollar and take the time and effort to make the best informed buying decision possible. Thank you for visiting our website. We hope you enjoy browsing through all the details of our proven brand. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to reach out to us. Share on Facebook A video from shows a litter of boxer puppies adorably "attacking" their dad, in search of mommy's milk supply. Parents of human children know that being a parent can be exhausting. Now, imagine being in charge of eight toddlers, all at once. You'd probably never sleep again. That's the kind of vibes we were getting from Reno, a boxer dad to eight puppies who lovingly decided it was time to play with dad. Luckily for us, Reno's owner was on the porch with the puppies and caught Reno's exhausting experience on camera. Puppies are adorable. It is a fact. However, much like human toddlers, puppies tend to have a lot of energy. If you've owned a puppy, you know the struggle first-hand. Dog dad, Reno, seems not to have realized what it's like to be swarmed by eight puppies all at once — at least not until this video. The puppies very quickly realized that their dad was on the porch with them. Poor Reno fought a losing battle as soon as they swarmed him. His owner videoed the whole experience, having to remind Reno to be patient with the puppies several times. The puppies wanted to play with their dad. They surrounded him relatively quickly. A few went under his legs, likely hoping that they could find food there on him the way they could on mom. Others tried to play with his collar, his ears, or his dog tags. When Reno decided he needed to escape, he carefully jumped over the ring of puppies. No matter where he went, though, they followed him, clearly excited to play. Throughout the video, Reno makes multiple escape attempts, even knocking one of the puppies over on accident. There are a few points where he seems genuinely frustrated, as no matter where he goes, they follow. Admittedly, we can't blame him. Who hasn't gotten overwhelmed by their children's relentless energy time and time again? Reno is still very gentle with the puppies, though. With stern reminders from his owner on occasion, he made sure not to hurt them. He never growled or barked, and instead focused on trying to move away from them. With eight puppies excitedly chasing after him, however, Reno didn't stand a chance. Thankfully, despite the discomfort, he clearly understood that they were small and just wanted his attention. Parenting is hard. It's even worse when you have eight children trying to get your attention at the same time, as well as at least one of them getting a bit too personal with you. Reno expressed what any parent—whether to a pet or a child—has felt at some point. Kids are exhausting, overwhelming, and don't understand personal space. All the same, we still love them, and we know that we can't hurt them even if it's tempting sometimes! Reno needed a break, definitely, and we hope he got the chance to get that much-needed rest. Everyone struggles to be a parent sometimes. Children are exhausting, and you're allowed to be tired. If we were Reno, we would have hidden under the porch just don't tell the puppies that! Have you ever felt entirely overwhelmed when you were taking care of your kids? Maybe you were even taking care of an excitable puppy and suddenly understood why Reno felt the desire to get some space. Let us know if you've thought about hiding in the closest closet just to get a few moments to yourself. And next time you think about running away, use this video as a reminder for you and your fellow parents that the parenting struggle is real. Take a boxer, for instance. The dog breed usually has eight puppies in a litter on average. Dealing with so many puppies can get overwhelming, as shown in one video of a boxer dad playing with his pups. Around him are gathered his litter of pups, all eight of them. As he watches them gather around, one can only wonder what is going through his head. It has already been a few weeks, so you would think they would all be used to him by now. But they all seem so curious about poor, old dad. They all gather around him, and he tries to scoot away. Of course, the curious pups continue to follow him wherever he goes, all the while sniffing at him just to make sure it is their pops. Leaping into the air, he lands on the other side of the pups. This gains him a brief respite as the puppies try to determine where he has gone. But his momentary victory is short-lived as the puppies soon figure out where he has gone and the chase is back on. He just realizes how small they are so he is holding back and trying to not be too rough with them. In truth, he is probably trying to avoid interacting too roughly with them for fear of accidentally hurting one of his puppies. He truly is a great dad as he spins around while his puppies chase him. Eventually, he stops long enough for the puppies to start climbing on him. Before you know it, they are all back at it again. Eventually, though, Reno does have to give his pups a stern warning as they start to get a little too rough. It works as the puppies stop momentarily to see what is going on. You can watch the hilarious video of the pups chasing their pops below.

What do you call a Belgian Malinois German Shepherd mix? The easiest way to refer to this cross is Belgian Malinois German Shepherd mix. However, these dogs can also be referred to as a Malinois X. Other names include German Malinois and Shepinois. The breed is thought to have been developed in the late s along with the Tervuren, the Groenendael and the Laekonois. They were developed by trainers and working competitors which perhaps explains why Belgian Malinois make great service and working dogs within our society. An ex-German military capital Max von Stephanitz set about attempting to create his perfect working dog. He encountered a dog named Hektor Linksrhein at a dog show in which left such an impression that he bought the dog immediately. He renamed Hektor to Horand von Grafrath, becoming the founder member of the dog breed. German Shepherds are often used by the military, police, drug detection and much more due to their high IQ, impressive obedience and ability to learn. German Shepherds have an identical height range of 22 to 26 inches but they usually weigh a little more between 49 and 88 pounds. So we can deduce that a Belgian Malinois German Shepherd mix can grow to between 22 and 26 inches tall and weigh between 40 and 90 pounds. Their coat color is reflect of both breeds, with incorporating shades of black, brown, fawn, blue and white. A Malinois X should have a muzzle that is relatively long with a black nose. Belgian Malinois German Shepherd mix will have a double coat which sheds. The German Malinois are athletic, good-natured loyal and protective, which are all personality traits that both Belgian Malinois and German Shepherds have. Belgian Malinois have an innate desire to protect their family members, which can make this hybrid a good family pet. However, Belgian Malinois German Shepherd mix will require socialization and training from a young age. This gives you the best chance to have a happy, level-headed and well-balanced dog. Although there is no such thing as a per cent hypoallergenic dog, the American Kennel Club outlines that there are some breeds that shed less. Malinois X owners will be required to brush their dogs at least twice a week to remove debris and dead hair. This will help to maintain the health and quality of their coat. Most members of the cross breed will blow out their coats twice a year at the changing of the seasons. Belgian Malinois German Shepherd Mix exercise requirements German Malinois are high energy dogs, so owners will need to ensure their pet is getting sufficient exercise in order to prevent destructive or unwanted behaviour due to frustration. Dog walking service provider Wag recommend up to minutes a day for a Belgian Malinois German Shepherd mix. That equates to around 10 miles per week. German Shepherds, on the other hand, can live to between nine and 13 years. The average price of this mix can vary. Other Potential costs include dog food, pet insurance, grooming, vet trips and much more. You can inquire about the availability of this cross. Alternatively, you could contact Belgian Malinois and German Shepherd dedicated rescue organisations for further help. Belgian Malinois and German Shepherd Mix to follow on Instagram If you want to learn more about the cross breed, you can always head to social media to find out more. Dog owners will usually be quite forthcoming with advice and information to followers interested in learning more about the breed. Lifespan Sociability Like any dog, the cost for these pups can vary depending on the breeder and the pedigree of the puppy. Although this is not one of the most common hybrid dogs, there is always a chance that you will be able to provide a wonderful home for a dog in need. This is especially so in the case of any German Shepherd hybrid since they have been bred to be some of the most trainable, obedient dogs known today. The German Malinois can be trained much earlier in life than most other dog breeds. The German Malinois is a cross of two incredible obedient, level-headed dogs. It is because of these traits that their astounding intelligence manifests much earlier. Training can start with these pups much earlier than is typical. They have often completed house training as young as three months old. Many new owners appreciate this aspect of the breed when it comes to purchasing a new puppy. Both the German Shepherd and the Belgian Malinois are experienced police dogs. German Shepherds were first developed in the s by the Germans. They were bred with several different breeds to try and obtain the most trainable dog at that time. The result was successful, and the German Shepherd still stands out today as one of the most trainable dog breeds. Their temperament was another significant facet of their breeding. The goal was to have a level-headed dog that was obedient and protective. Since the beginning, their breeding may have changed their bone structure and stature slightly, but they still act similarly to the way that they were initially bred. They have become the second most popular dog breed in the U. The Belgian Malinois was bred at approximately the same time as the German Shepherd. The Belgian Malinois has a slightly more confusing timeline because their breed was first recognized as the Belgian Shepherd. Then, the breed was steadily split into three separate dog breeds, with the Belgian Malinois having a short coat and fawn coloring. Both dogs, especially since being imported to America, have been actively and consistently used in the police force. They have the perfect temperament for reliability, a balance of aggressiveness and obedience, and medium to large stature. The German Malinois has a high prey drive. Since both of the dogs involved in the parenting of the German Malinois were bred to be herding dogs, the German Malinois has the drive in their DNA. Watch out for their urge to herd beings smaller than themselves. It is a behavior that you can train out if they are primarily a family dog. If you have any cats, small mammals, or other smaller dogs, make sure the German Malinois is trained, so they know how to behave around these other animals. Unlike small puppies, most would not describe them as energetic dogs because they are also quite serious and controlled. To be content in their living situation, they must have plenty of space to run around in. Beyond their activity levels, they are highly intelligent dogs. Both the Belgian Malinois and the German Shepherd are incredibly smart, with the latter being ranked for intelligence right after the Poodle and the Border Collie. These pups have a strong desire to please their master or trainer, which is a large part of their acknowledged obedience. Occasionally, they exhibit more difficult tendencies in training, such as stubbornness or overexcitement. However, this is relatively rare and may signify a change in training style is needed. The German Malinois can be aloof toward new animals and humans. Their protective instinct is sometimes too strong for them to have the capacity to accept anything into their trust readily. This feature makes them an excellent guard dog and watchdog. Watch out for any unwanted aggressive behavior, particularly between two male dogs. Are These Dogs Good for Families? The reason for this is their heightened prey drive from years of being a herding dog. The German Shepherd side of them is generally good with kids, whereas the Belgian Malinois often is not as friendly, especially if they are pushed or pulled around. Keep a close eye on them around little kids. Due to their overall attitude concerning new animals and humans, it is best to get them accustomed to strangers by having them visit your home or go to the dog park. This will teach them how to act around others appropriately. Although these dogs are quite reserved, they are also social creatures. For the best behavior, it is good to adopt two at once, or at least another pup with these dogs. They need 3—4 cups of food each day. They should have a balanced diet to make sure that they are receiving plenty of nutrients and calories to sustain them. Instead, feed them two or three meals a day. Stick to feeding them during your mealtimes. They can snack a bit in the middle of the day. Make sure that they receive plenty of calcium each day to offset these issues for as long as possible. They need at least 45 minutes of highly engaging activity each day but prefer to receive a mixed amount of exercise for minutes every day. Keeping this in mind, German Malinois are not good dogs to keep in an apartment unless they can go out with you for most of the day. Paired with their high level of intelligence, they pick things up quickly and happily, with few repetitions. They have a high desire to please their trainer, especially if the trainer has positively established dominance. Training is an excellent time to do two things at once, such as working a training session into an agility course. They are quick, with fast reactions and a quicker mind. Either way, they do shed frequently and even more so during changes in the seasons, particularly into spring and autumn. They need to be brushed daily to reduce the amount of hair getting everywhere. Avoid bathing these dogs too often, as the water strips them from natural essential oils produced by their skin. To avoid dental issues, brush their teeth every day. Since the German Shepherd is known to have many spinal and joint issues, it is best to verify. Minor Conditions. The positives include intelligence, determination, and loyalty. At the same time, German Malinois can be standoffish, potential to be aggressive, and less suited for young children, much like the Belgian Malinois. With this in mind, you need to weigh whether or not a German Malinois is right for you very carefully. If you are debating getting this unique breed, keep reading. In this article, we help you decide if this dog is right for you, or if you should opt for a less energetic dog. Dogs that are harder to train will require a bit more patience and practice. Proper exercise, nutrition, and hygiene also play an important role in the lifespan of your pet. More social dogs have a tendency to run up to strangers for pets and scratches, while less social dogs shy away and are more cautious, even potentially aggressive. German Malinois Puppies Image Credit: Alina Ziabrieva, Shutterstock German Malinois puppies are known for their intelligence and trainability, making them a popular choice for those looking for a highly active and intelligent companion. German Malinois puppies are full of energy and require plenty of physical and mental stimulation to help them reach their full potential. Early socialization is crucial to help them develop into confident, well-rounded dogs. In terms of appearance, German Malinois puppies can resemble either parent breed, and their coat color and pattern can vary. They typically have a muscular and athletic build, with a medium-length, dense coat that requires regular grooming. Feeding a high-quality diet and providing plenty of exercise will help them grow into healthy, active dogs. With proper care and attention, German Malinois puppies can grow into loyal, loving companions that form strong bonds with their owners. German Malinois is not suitable for many homes, especially homes with young children. These dogs are also not great for homes that already have other pets. Are These Dogs Good for Families? German Malinois tend to take after the Belgian Malinois, making them a bit more aggressive, but their temperament can be unpredictable. This is why socialization at a young age is important. Some German Malinois can be less tolerant of young children due to their intense herding and hunting instincts. At the same time, other German Malinois take after the German Shepherds, making them relatively calm and tolerant around young children. Because this breed is unpredictable and their tendencies are not shown until they are adults, it is best to avoid getting a German Malinois if you are considering having children or already have young children. Older children will be fine with this breed since German Malinois get along just fine with adults. Although certain German Malinois can be okay with children and other family members, most are not compatible with other pets. Their herding and hunting tendencies mean that they want to herd or hunt small animals, including cats. With other dogs, they can be aggressive and incredibly territorial. This is especially true if both dogs are males and were not introduced to one another at a very young age. For these reasons, a German Malinois is best as the sole pet in the household. Its high energy means that it is best suited for homes with large yards and people who are very active. For this reason, you should feed your German Malinois about 3 cups of high-quality dry food a day. Select a dog food specifically for large dogs and dogs of its specific age group. This breed has a high activity level, meaning they need about 14 miles of walking a week and minutes of playtime a day. Incorporating mental activities into their playtime can make a huge difference. For example, playing fetch, retrieving, and tracking can be a great choice for keeping your German Malinois active. If you are unable to commit to minutes of playtime a day, do not get a German Malinois. This breed needs a whole lot of activity. If you do not exercise it properly, the dog can become mischievous and bored, making you an irresponsible dog owner. The best way to train a German Malinois is by using positive reinforcement but having a strong and firm voice at the same time. By integrating positive reinforcement with a firm voice, the German Malinois will start to listen since you show the dog you mean business. Since this breed is eager to please, using the right technique can make training a breeze. These dogs have coarse fur and shed. This dog breed often develops too much earwax, leading to infections and other ear issues. Cleaning out the earwax frequently will prevent these issues from occurring. As a result, German Malinois are really healthy too. These dogs can live quite a few years and live so healthily. Providing your German Malinois with proper exercise, food, and grooming will help prevent the most common health conditions for this breed. Minor Conditions. They share aspects of their temperament, working style, and physical characteristics. You can think of them as one dog for all intents and purposes. Belgian Shepherd vs. They both possess similar drives and instincts on an instinctual level, but how they express them can vary greatly. For example, the German Shepherd is more prone to being territorial and protective of their family and property. Owners of Belgian malinois german shepherd mix often use their dogs for competitive obedience or herding. If a family is spending a lot of time in the yard or at home doing chores. At the same time, the dog is left alone in the backyard, looking into other good breeds with kids but not quite so high energy! The Belgian malinois german shepherd mix is a beautiful dog that makes an excellent family pet when given the proper training and exercise. These dogs can be a wonderful addition to any family with the right home. Grooming Requirements: For a dog with a dense double coat, the Belgian malinois german shepherd mix sheds fairly little. Weekly brushing is usually enough to keep their coat in good condition. They need occasional bathing and ear cleaning, as well as nail trimmings every few weeks or so. The Belgian malinois german shepherd mix has a dense double layer coat that requires some grooming attention! Daily brushing is required at a minimum. The nails must be trimmed about every weeks for proper foot care, and a professional groomer should give the dog a bath every few months. Ear cleaning is also necessary every weeks to keep those long ears healthy! Health Problems: As with most purebred dogs, common health concerns for the Belgian malinois german shepherd mix include hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, and eye disease such as distichiasis where eyelashes grow inwards towards the cornea or entropion where eyelids roll inwards. They are also prone to diseases that affect similar breeds like epilepsy and urinary stones. However, because these dogs are so intelligent and learn commands quickly, they can often be easy to train and manage when it comes to basic health care. As mentioned above, Belgian malinois german shepherd mixes are often used as working dogs. As such, they may be more prone to health problems that develop due to their frequent activity and high-energy lifestyle e. As well as this, make sure your dog gets plenty of regular check-ups and exercise throughout his life to help prevent these conditions from developing in the first place! Living Conditions: The Belgian malinois german shepherd mix is a hearty breed that can adapt to most living conditions. However, they prefer moderately active families who will take them on plenty of walks and runs. They are not suited for apartment living and should have a large yard to run. These dogs are fairly active and do best in homes where someone is around most of the time. If left alone for extended periods, they may become destructive or hyperactive. However, some generalizations can be made about the temperament of this crossbreed. Belgian Malinois mixes are often high-energy dogs who love to play and need plenty of exercise. They are also very intelligent and eager to please their owners, making them relatively easy to train. On the other hand, they can also be quite independent and strong-willed, so it is important to start training early and be consistent to ensure good behavior. In general, Belgian Malinois mixes are good-natured and affectionate with their family. Still, they may not hesitate to defend themselves in case of a threat. They can also be somewhat protective around strangers or other animals, so socialization is important when they are still young. Since both breeds are highly energetic and very intelligent, Belgian Malinois Shepherd mixes need physical exercise every day. It is also important for them not to get bored; it is recommended that you give them plenty of mental stimulation and their physical activities. This can be done through obedience training, puzzle toys, and plenty of interactive playtimes. However, shelter dogs are also often available for adoption; they may be even cheaper if you can find one in your area! Also, bear in mind that some breeders or shelters may not allow you to adopt or purchase a dog under certain age limits e. Nutrition Requirements: Belgian Malinois and German shepherd mixes are active dogs that require a balanced diet that is rich in protein. Life Span Did You Know? The Malinois originated in Belgium in the late s and was bred to guard and herd livestock. The Belgian Malinois is one of four different types of Belgian sheepdogs, including the Tervuren , Laekenois, and Groenendael. Of the Belgian sheepdogs, the Malinois is the most common and widely recognized. Although they were originally bred for herding, the Belgian Malinois excels as a military or police dog. The Belgian Malinois was used for military purposes as far back as World War I with many soldiers bringing their Malinois dogs home to the States after the war ended. Following that time, the AKC saw a large increase in registrations of this breed. Today, the Malinois is more commonly found as a working breed. Some facts about Belgian Malinois are that they are versatile working dogs and popular military dogs. These dogs are exceptional at finding explosives, narcotics, and tracking fugitives attempting to avoid apprehension. The Malinois is a protective and highly intelligent dog breed. As one of the most active dog breeds , the Malinois is a hardworking dog that may be serious when on task, but will also likely exhibit a puppy-like playfulness and energy until around the age of three. As long as they are properly socialized and trained, Belgian Malinois tend to get along well with children, other dogs, and other pets. Because of their protective instinct, they will be initially wary of strangers. But, if they are well-socialized, they will tend to warm up once introduced. They tend to bark to alert, which can become a nuisance if you unintentionally encourage the behavior or do not train your dog to stop barking early on. The Belgian Malinois is a moderately adaptable dog breed. Although they can adapt to apartments if enough time is dedicated to daily exercise and mental stimulation, they are better suited to homes with fenced yards where they can run. They do well in most climates. As with any dog breed, they are sensitive to heat and are sensitive to very cold temperatures. Because they bond closely with their families, have a lot of energy, and get bored easily, they should not be left alone for long periods of time. Potential health concerns to be aware of in a Belgian Malinois include hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia , progressive retinal atrophy, and thyroid disease. Good breeding practices make a big difference and reputable breeders will screen their dogs to avoid passing preventable issues to puppies. So, make sure you ask about the health and genetic history of the parents. You can also ask about any health tests or clearances that have been done. As one of the smartest dog breeds , the Belgian Malinois picks up on training quickly and is generally eager to please. However, they are also energetic, get bored easily, have a strong herding instinct, and can be strong-willed. First-time owners are encouraged to enroll in puppy training classes or enlist the help of a trainer. Belgian Malinois have short, waterproof coats that will shed a little year-round and will shed heavier as seasons change. Brushing weekly or a few times a week and the occasional bath are usually enough to keep them comfortable and their coat looking great. Cutting nails once or twice a month is usually enough to keep them from growing too long and causing issues. Weekly ear checks with careful cleanings as needed can help prevent ear infections. Daily tooth brushing, along with cleanings at the vet as needed, is ideal dental care for dogs. Belgian Malinois are high-energy working dogs. They need a lot of daily activity and a job to do to be happy and healthy. Daily walks plus playtime and time to run are usually enough, but they will also usually be up for more activity if you are. These dogs are versatile and athletic. Once puppies finish growing and their bones are done developing, you can try a variety of activities with them. Playing frisbee , running, hiking, swimming, and more can all be fun activities to do with your Mal. Fully-grown Belgian Malinois usually stand inches tall and weigh between pounds. Belgian Malinois generally live for years on average. The Belgian Malinois is a world-renowned military service dog. A life-size bronze statue of a Belgian Malinois is featured in the memorial to military dogs in Fayetteville, North Carolina. There are also many dog movies featuring them, like the film Max, which features a great and heart-touching story about a former U. Marine Service Dog. Featured Belgian Malinois Article.

Let us provide you with a Labradoodle puppy and a forever friend. About Us The start! Tonia LeFrancois owner of Triangle Labradoodles started this dream with family in mind! Her son was born with several allergies that would keep him from having a puppy. Tonia feels that every little childs life is not complete with out a puppy. After months of research we found the Australian labradoodle to be the best fit for us. With the help of Jenny Blume at Swinging gate kennels we provided our family a loving female named Aspen. Aspen stole every heart in the family and know her son has his best friend! Now we would like to offer that option to others so they too can have a dog in their family. This is why here at Triangle Labradoodles we want to provide quality pets to other familes that need a best friend. With this in mind all puppies here at Triangle labradoodles are raised in our home with 3 children as part of our family so they will fit in well with yours. Staying true to the vision of those who founded this incredible breed is an important element of our breeding philosophy. A proud member of the Australian Labradoodle Club of America, it is our goal to provide the most loving environment possible for our puppies. We will only work with the best breeders available to provide the highest quality and healthiest doodles around. We will strive for a low volume high quality approach for producing puppies. We are not a kennel and all puppies are raised in our home as part of the family. The Australian Labradoodle is different from all other labradoodles. Dogs from this cross typically were bred to each other over future generations, whereby the Australian dogs are also know as "Multi-generational" Labradoodles. The resulting labradoodles subsequently have been bred to each other, continuing the multi-generational tradition. Even when the other types of Labradoodles are bred on for generations, the result is not an Australian Labradoodle, as the attributes of the infused breeds were not included in their ancestry. The Australian Labradoodle Club of America was founded exclusively to foster and protect the original Australian Labradoodles that have come directly from Tegan Park and Rutland Manor breeding stock, or their offspring. Our mission is to maintain and improve the quality and soundness of the Australian Labradoodles, and to carefully monitor the further development of the breed. All member breeders are carefully screened to help ensure the future of the Australian Labradoodle. Our member breeders must breed to the highest standards. We have Breeder Mentors to assist member breeders and to help new breeders get off to a good start. The goal was to join with breeders across America in the development of a pure breed dog and to unite these breeding programs for one common cause, the preservation of the Authentic Australian Labradoodle. Our breed is in its final stage and is renowned for its amazing traits and has proven to be consistent and reliable. Its intuitive nature, uncanny ability to sense and in some cases self teach the art of being a medical alert dog, the direct eye to eye contact and their desire to please makes them one of the most trainable dogs in America. This breed is hypoallergenic, non shedding and is one of the most sought after dogs in America. Our goal is to protect and improve the breed health as we move towards pure breed status. Contact Us. I had discovered such an incredible gift in her, as well as the most versatile dog you could ever have for a friend. Thus, Shiloh Garden Standards was born. Poodles have long been stereotyped as sissy dogs, ridiculous looking in their fancy haircuts, good for nothing, and not even considered a "real dog". The many myths surrounding them are existing simply due to ignorance about the breed. Negative sentiment against the poodle is so strong, there are shirts and even websites devoted to poking fun at them. Many, having walked in those shoes, are now a very proud owner of a Poodle. The poodle, an avid hunter, is the oldest known water retriever breed, going back as early as the 's. The original poodle was a heavier boned version of todays standard poodle and was used for pulling carts and light herding. We see the poodles of today competing in agility and the show ring. Many are also being used as service dogs to the handicapped, the blind, hearing impared, as drug sniffing dogs and for the search and rescue. They are also used in the field of science through detecting diseases such as cancer, diabetes and seizures. These "human dogs" as they are frequently called, read us better than we do. They have an incredible love, sensitivity and devotion for their human companion. They are athletic, intelligent, elegant and proud and have an "air of distinction" as described in the breed standard. My desire is to share this magnificent and majestic breed with others! Most importantly however, in keeping with the health and genetic soundness of the breed, our dogs are carefully bred for a low inbreeding co-efficiency. Diverse pedigrees and healthy nutrition are keys to having healthy poodles with long lives. We breed for quality, excellence of confirmation, rich color and sound temperment. All breeding stock have had recommended genetic testing done. All testing verification is available on request. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves Me must follow Me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves Me. Both gone from this life, but never forgotten. Where have the years gone. Then of course there was Mr. Slate, Fred's boss, who was nearly bald with only two hairs to his head and big black glasses who was always hollering at Fred. And last, but certainly not least, we will never forget the Flintstone family dinosaur Dino! Many moons later, from some of these characters, we have built our own family of toy and miniature poo's that we call the "Littles". Pebbles, BammBamm and Betty are our gorgeous red toys; and Wilma and Penny our rich brown miniatures. The Littles have won our hearts and of course taken over our home. They love the standards and can often be found hanging from one's ear or snuggling in their legs, against their side or perched on top. At night they love to snuggle with us in bed. We have taken a lot of pictures of the Littles for you to view and enjoy. The Miniature Poodle's height range is between 10 and 15 inches, and weighs in at somewhere between 10 and 18 pounds. Toy Poodles, on the other hand, are 10 inches in height tops and weigh about six pounds. Shoulder height is the most accurate way to determine variety in the poodle breed. European breed standards include four sizes of poodles. The European Toy Poodle has a maximum height at the withers of 11 inches. The European Dwarf Poodle is not a true dwarf, but ranges in size from 11 to .Miniatures in Europe range from .Teacup poodles were once viewed as status symbols by the rich. Emperors were even known to carry them in their sleeves. Another one of the interesting Poodle facts is they don't have the strong odor frequently linked with other breeds. Poodles are one of the oldest breeds and have been the most well liked in America since the s. The poodle was originally bred to be a water dog -- retrieving game fowl trapped or shot down by its owners. In fact the name "poodle" is a derivative of the old German extraction "Puddeln" which translates roughly as "to splash in water. In France, it is known as the "Caniche" or Duck Dog. The fact is that the distinctively shaved areas and tufts of hair are a direct result of the poodle's working and sporting heritage. Whatever the variety in each country, standard, miniature, or toy, they are well known for their lovely nature, intelligence, sensitivity and elegance with the added bonus of the non-shedding coat and the color range they come in. Colors include white, cream, black, brown, silver, blue, red, apricot to more unusual markings of the parti-poodle, tuxedo, harlequin, multi-patterned, abstract, phantom, sable and the shadings in between. Please note only solid colors are accepted for showing apart from the UKC in America and some parts of Europe where they have allowed the multi color Poodle to be exhibited. Poodles have had many references in art and literature. Dating from the first century found along the shores of the Mediterranean, they portray the Poodle much as it i today. Drawings by the German artist Durer establish the breed in the 15th and 16th centuries. In the 18th century, it was the principle pet dog in Spain as shown by the artist Goya. A favorite subject of artists, the Poodle probably appears in more works of art than any other dog. My answer was always the same, "no, never, the standards are my passion and I will never raise any other size. My mistake if it was one was to make a phone call to a local breeder for my son and his wife in January .I chatted for a very long time with the breeder, and she talked me into making a visit to see her poos. I had never seen such gorgeous miniatures with the lovely face of a standard. Her integrity in her breeding program, the incredible mentor that she has worked with, the excellent pedigrees of her champion lines and the quality and temperaments of her dogs captivated me. I walked out her door with a gorgeous girl that we named Ellie and my husband and I fell so in love with her, I went back for her sister Lucie a week later. Her memory remains and her dear sister Lucie has been an incredible blessing in our lives. She is truly my "miniature" version of Rayeh, my first standard in her looks and her temperament. bulldog puppies for sale in michigan - They are intelligent and easily trained, making them a popular choice for families. They are also active and enjoy spending time outdoors. These pups typically have a calm demeanor, but they can also be playful and energetic. This easygoing nature makes them excellent companions for families with young children or seniors. All of these factors make the English Cream Lab an ideal pet for anyone looking for a loyal and loving companion. English Cream Lab Puppy Health Considerations Though generally very happy and long-lived — with an average lifespan of around years — our English Cream Labs for sale are not without their unique health concerns. Like every breed of dog, there are a few conditions you should be aware of before you consider purchasing one of our English Cream Lab puppies for sale. Understanding the risks allows you to know the signs and prevent small health concerns from turning into big ones. Allergies are the most common concern, and can be caused by anything from pollen to food ingredients. Hip and elbow dysplasia are both joint problems that can cause pain and mobility issues. Eye problems can range from minor infections to more serious conditions such as glaucoma. Finding an English Cream Lab puppy for sale from a reputable breeder can also dramatically — although, not eliminate — the risk of your dog developing some of these conditions. While they may look like they require a lot of grooming, English Cream Labs are actually quite low maintenance when it comes to their coat. A weekly brushing is usually sufficient to remove any dead hair and keep their coat looking shiny and healthy. And while they do shed, it is typically not as much as other breeds. When it comes to coat care, the key is to be gentle and avoid using harsh shampoos or chemicals that can strip the natural oils from their coat. With a little care and attention, your English Cream Lab will have a beautiful coat that is the envy of all your friends. English cream Labradors can be purebred dogs, and they usually are. A pedigree dog is one that has a recorded history of parentage through a dog related breed association. They list the approved colors that puppies can be. Labrador breeders and owners have a bit of wiggle room here, as the AKC specifies that the yellow coat color may vary from light cream to fox red. This is because there are several genes that can influence what coat color a Labrador Retriever puppy grows up to display. This is true even though there are only two different color pigments that create the entire variety of dog coat colors. These are eumelanin and phaeomelanin. Eumelanin is a black pigment. Phaeomelanin is a red pigment. The many shades of the yellow Labrador coat color are produced when different genes interact with the red phaeomelanin pigment. You might wonder how a red pigment could turn out cream colored, which is a great question that it took canine geneticists a long time to answer! The default color for phaeomelanin without any additional genetic influence is actually yellow or gold. Some genes can make this default color darker or more intense. Other genes will cause the color to become lighter or paler. Breeding English Cream Labrador Puppies Interestingly, canine geneticists have now identified a specific gene sequence that may produce the lighter cream yellow coat color more consistently. English Cream Labrador breeders can use this type of information to breed selectively for a more desirable coat color. However, even when a breeder is very familiar with the genetics of their personal breeding dogs, some coat color differences are to be expected. For example, some Labrador puppies may grow up to have slightly darker English Cream coats while other puppies may grow up to have lighter or even white-appearing coats. The English cream Labrador coat color is eye-catching and perhaps less customary in the world of Labrador Retriever breeding. Why is this important to remember? In America, the Lab has topped this list for more than three decades. In the United Kingdom, the Lab regularly hits the second or third most popular spot. Be wary of any breeder who markets their English Cream Labrador puppies as rare and uses this as a reason to inflate the price you pay. Always focus your search on reputable Labrador breeders who put puppy health first. Buying an English Cream Puppy Just like other trends, different dog coat colors go in and out of fashion. Longtime Labrador Retriever carers also often develop their own preferences based on experiences with past pet Labradors or with previous working Labrador dogs. The English Cream Labrador coat color is quite popular right now. You might have a wait to find your perfect puppy. Be sure you select a breeder with a proven track record for producing healthy English Cream Labrador puppies. Ask to review pre-screening health test results for both parent dogs. Also verify that your breeder will give you a record of all vaccinations and an initial health guarantee. This will give you the best chance of making a commitment to a healthy, happy English Cream Lab puppy. Considering an English Cream Labrador? These gentle companions have a creamy, white coat that contrasts nicely with their dark eyes and noses. English Cream Labradors are generally medium-to-large dogs with strong bodies and thick tails. What is an English Cream Labrador? These dogs have been friendly companions and useful working dogs since the s. Labrador Retrievers originated in Newfoundland where fishermen depended on them to jump into the cold water to retrieve ropes, nets, and even catch a fish or two. The breed spread around Europe and quickly became trusty hunting companions. You can keep your lab entertained for hours with a game of fetch in a nearby lake. Thanks to their strength and stamina, Labrador Retrievers are often used as therapy and service dogs. You may see them sniffing for contraband at the airport or helping someone with a disability manage their day-to-day responsibilities. English Labs make excellent companions who will happily tag along for hikes through the forest or spend a quiet day at home with their families. English Labradors get along great with children and their high energy levels make them perfect playmates. Caring for your English Labrador Adopting your first English Labrador is an exciting and rewarding experience. Rambunctious puppies will need proper training and socialization for when they mature into adulthood and become lovable, mellow companions. Just be sure your dog gets enough daily exercise to stay healthy. Grooming English Labradors will require lifelong grooming, and getting your dog adjusted to a regular grooming schedule as a puppy will make the process much easier. English Labradors have short, thick coats that tend to shed an average amount. To manage shedding, brush your dog several times a month with a bristle brush and give them a bath every month. Dogs that go swimming in natural bodies of water will need more frequent baths to prevent odors. Be sure to wipe their ears with a clean, dry towel to prevent infections. Treats should be given in moderation to prevent weight issues. Training Puppies will need lots of training and socialization to help manage their high levels of energy, but many owners find that their pups are eager to learn and enjoy training. Puppy training classes are a great way to work on obedience and socialization all in one session. You can also take your puppy out for walks in the park to get them used to different people and animals. If your dog starts acting hyperactive or destructive at home, they likely just need a little more regular exercise and socialization to adjust their behavior. Health Labrador Retrievers tend to be very healthy dogs, and reputable breeders will screen for common canine health problems. The average lifespan for a Labrador Retriever is years. Labs may develop a dangerous stomach condition called bloat, according to the AKC. The breed is also susceptible to hip dysplasia, progressive retinal atrophy, cataracts, elbow problems, and obesity. I decided after my first son was born that I wanted to stay at home with my babies anyways both human and canine. So I am now a stay at home mom for all of our babies. Prior to that I had worked at an animal shelter as well as a grooming and boarding facility. We are very hands on and we are big on communication with our awaiting puppy parents. We are not a breeding kennel or a puppy store. Our Standard Poodles are our family and we love them as much as one would love their human children. At It's A Poodle Parti we are greatly dedicated to our Standard Poodles and we love helping people find the perfect new addition for their family that they will have great love for as well. All About Us. The experience was perfect with Pawtastic Poodles. Marnica was very responsive and experienced. I reserved Echo when she was about 4 weeks and took her home at about 8 weeks. During these time, Marnica took pictures and videos of Echo every week and sent to me. She also helped us find a flight nanny and the price was very reasonable and the process was smooth. Echo came with all the documents and a package full of toys and treats. Echo was really beautiful, playful and sweet. I love her and thanks Pawtastic Poodles! Adeline C. My experience was quick and easy! I actually placed a deposit before puppies were born I wanted first pick on chocolate girls! Meeka was always available to answer questions, sent weekly pictures and then some, was honest and upfront with everything! I definitely recommend her puppies are not only adorable, but also loving. Not only that, the care package she sends you away with was so amazing! I will be getting another in the near future. Thank you! Porch G Pawtastic Poodles in one word! From the looks and quality of their dogs to the great service when it came down to the many questions I had as a buyer. Greg K. I truly recommend Pawtastic Poodles. She was so well socialized, was great with my children and our other dog. She was practically potty trained at 8 weeks old. The whole process was effortless and I loved the constant updates and pictures while we were waiting to take her home. Scott-Lindsey D.
