Wagging their tail towards the right side of their body can indicate more positive emotions such as relaxation, and happiness. Wagging their tails on the left side of their body is a sign of more negative emotions such as nervousness or fear. For most Golden Retrievers wagging their tails to communicate is a natural and normal thing for them to do. However, it may indicate a medical problem, in which case your dog should be seen by your vet to rule out any serious issues.
