Start with short periods of time. Eventually, when he can handle small amounts of time, you can extend his free times to longer and longer periods, until he can be home alone several hours of the day. To prevent future behavior problems by giving privileges too soon, your puppy should sleep in a crate from day one. The crate can be in your room, but your puppy should not be allowed to sleep with you. Using a crate is an excellent way to ensure that your puppy will not destroy something valuable. Be sure also to have lots of hard chew toys available for him to chew on. Dogs that are given too much freedom too soon are bound to get into trouble and learn to be destructive. Many behaviorists and dog trainers agree that separation anxiety can be triggered by failing to set boundaries and limit freedom when a dog is young. Guardians must communicate, cooperate and coordinate with the breeder regarding testing, matings, whelpings, and other breeding related activities and agree to have their pet stay at Chestnut Hill Labradoodles when needed for any reason. All trainings will be at the cost of the Guardian family. In the event of death of the Breeder, this contract will remain intact until end date, and breeding rights taken over by the new ownership of Chestnut Hill Labradoodles, LLC. In the event that a major life event occurs including immediate family member death or severe medical illness in which the Guardian Family is no longer able to care for the dog and still under contract, the dog will be returned to Chestnut Hill Labradoodles and contract will be nullified. In such circumstances, Guardian must immediately notify Breeder and provide a detailed, written statement of the circumstances that render future performance impossible. If Breeder does take possession of the dog pursuant to this section, Guardian will not be entitled to any compensation from Breeder nor be obligated for any future care of the dog but shall not be absolved or released from any past violations of this Agreement nor damages sustained by Breeder as a result thereof. Neither party may assign, transfer, or subcontract any obligations or rights under this Agreement without the prior written consent of the other party. No changes, modifications or waivers to this Agreement will be effective unless in writing and signed by both parties. Insufficient Care. Buyer agrees that it will not surrender the Puppy to a shelter and that it will not sell, give, or release the Puppy to an individual or family, pet shop, retail store, dog dealer, animal testing facility, research facility, or an agent for any such business or facility. Additionally, Buyer agrees that it will not euthanize the Puppy under any circumstances without prior written consent of Seller and instead will return to Seller. If the Puppy is returned within the first thirty 30 days, only half of the Purchase Price will be refunded after the Puppy has been placed in its new home. If the Puppy is returned after the thirty 30 days no money will be refunded to the Buyer. The Buyer pays for all travel expenses back to Seller. Puppy mouthing and biting is a normal stage of puppy development and will not be considered justifiable cause for return of the Puppy. Additionally, temperament behavioral issues will not be considered justifiable cause for return of the Puppy; unless proof of regular obedience training by a certified professional trainer is provided and the Puppy is under four 4 months of age at the time of return. Imperfect puppy bites in pet quality puppies can and do happen. This is typically resolved once puppy baby teeth fall out and adult teeth come in. Condition at Delivery. Seller makes every possible attempt to provide Buyer with a healthy puppy to be a forever companion. Seller tests all breeding dogs in accordance with the highest breed and industry standards. Despite extensive health testing and careful breeding selections, there are medical issues which cannot be tested for and cannot be foreseen. Seller takes reasonable measures to provide Buyer with a happy, healthy, thriving Puppy. Non-Transferability of Health Guarantee. Any transfer or assignment of this Health Guarantee is void. Visits to Veterinarians. The puppy will not be taken to places other dogs frequent, such as pet stores, dog parks, kennels, grooming salons, etc. Companion Purpose; Mandatory Spaying or Neutering. In the event, the Seller stops breeding, no replacement puppies shall be given, and any obligations of providing a replacement puppy is limited by the supply of available puppies that Seller has on hand at any given time. Annual Vaccinations and Protective Medications. Buyer guarantees that upon receiving the Puppy, Buyer will keep the Puppy in good health with yearly vaccinations, heartworm protection, and any other necessary procedures to ensure the good health of the Puppy. Governing Law and Venue. This Agreement shall be governed by, and construed, enforced and interpreted in accordance with, the substantive laws without regard to its conflicts of laws provisions of the State of Texas. The parties agree that this contract represents the Full and Final Agreement between the parties and that no other representations, either oral or written have or relied upon for the purposes of this agreement regarding the dog described therein. The cost of the autopsy is to be paid by the buyer subject to reimbursement upon determination of cause as a result of a seller's defect.
