In a few cartoons, though, he assumed a completely different persona—a wealthy industrialist type, occupying a luxurious penthouse , or, in one episode involving a role reversal , a sanitarium —which Bugs would of course somehow find his way into. Bugs tells Elmer they may be on to something, and Elmer, with the vaudevillian's instinct of sticking with a gag that catches on, nods that they should re-use it. According to this account, the common Elmer-as-hunter episodes are entirely staged. One episode where Bugs "lost" in the hunting was Hare Brush .Here, Elmer has been committed to an insane asylum because he believes he is a rabbit though it is also revealed that he is a millionaire and owns a mansion and a yacht. Bugs Bunny enters Fudd's room and Elmer bribes him with carrots , then leaves the way the real rabbit entered. Elmer's psychiatrist arrives, and thinking Fudd's delusion has affected his appearance, drugs Bugs and conditions him into believing that he is Elmer Fudd, after which Bugs starts wearing hunting clothes and acting like Elmer, hunting the rabbit-costumed Fudd, who is in turn acting like Bugs. Their hunt is cut short when Bugs is arrested by a government agent as Elmer Fudd is wanted for tax evasion. After Bugs is hauled away trying to explain that the rabbit is Elmer Fudd, Fudd breaks the fourth wall and tells the audience "I may be a scwewy wabbit, but I'm not going to Alcatwaz " as he hops away as if he had planned the whole thing. The Bugs—Elmer partnership was so familiar to audiences that in a late s cartoon, Bugs' Bonnets , a character study is made of what happens to the relationship between the two when they each accidentally don a different selection of hats Native American wig, pilgrim hat, military helmets, bridal veil and top hat, to name a few. The result is comic mayhem; a steady game of one-upmanship that ultimately leads to matrimony. He became a heavy-set, beer-bellied character, patterned after Arthur Q. Elmer Fudd later reports on Daffy Duck's apparent death where he supposedly lost control of his parade float and drove into the St. Bastian River. He appears as a spy working for the Mexican general Foghorn Leghorn. In the story, Elmer is a bounty hunter that originated from the country side before he moved to Gotham to make ends meet. He considered putting the shotgun away for good when he fell in love with Silver St. Cloud , but she was killed by hitman Bugs "The Bunny". He goes to a bar called Porky's which has attendants that are humanoid versions of other famous Looney Tunes stars to kill Bugs. Bugs confesses to killing Silver, but avoids death by telling Elmer that Bruce Wayne hired him to do it. Elmer believes Bugs as Bruce was Silver's former lover, and shoots Bruce at a party for vengeance. Batman confronts Elmer in his apartment and defeats the gunman in a fight, where Elmer tells Batman about Silver's death and Bugs. Elmer and Batman return to Porky's and take out most of the crowd before confronting Bugs. The three are shocked to find Silver in the bar herself, where she revealed that she left Bruce and Elmer because of their dangerous lifestyles and had Bugs fake her death. The story ends with all three of the men requesting a glass of carrot juice from Porky. After getting shot by Elmer too many times, Batman takes Bugs' advice and makes it Robin season, causing Elmer to pursue the Dark Knight's sidekicks instead. Mike Cosgrove voiced by Ed Asner — A heavyset, gruff police sergeant with a heart of gold who is friends with Freakazoid and several other characters. By pointing at something and saying "Cut it out", he has the almost supernatural ability to get people to stop whatever they are doing on command, no matter what they may be doing at the time. Cosgrove also possesses the odd power of finding Freakazoid no matter where he is, and often interrupts his heroic endeavors to ask him to visit various entertainments, which Freakazoid always enthusiastically agrees to no matter what he is doing at the time. During this visit, Cosgrove inevitably reveals important information about the plot of the episode, resulting in Freakazoid leaving to foil the villain's scheme and Cosgrove being left to enjoy the attraction for himself. Additionally, at some point, Freakazoid entrusted Cosgrove with his secret identity, and was deeply upset when he accidentally revealed it to Steff and Professor Jones. Roddy MacStew voiced by Craig Ferguson — Freakazoid's mentor, and expositionist; an ill-tempered Scotsman who once worked for Guitierrez and was the first to discover the Pinnacle Chip's flaw. Cobra Queen voiced by Tress MacNeille — Audrey Manatee is a former shoplifter whose theft of an experimental expired cosmetic transformed her into a cobra woman with command over snakes and other reptiles. In later episodes, Cobra Queen and Cave Guy are dating. She has a lair in the sewers and often complained about the lack of light there until Freakazoid suggested getting Japanese lanterns. Cobra Queen seems to be offended when compared to Sylvester the Cat. He subscribes to The New Yorker and also seems to have an odd fear of Klingons , primarily because of their language. Because he was searched for by law enforcement so frequently, he had plastic surgery to turn himself into a humanoid Texas Longhorn. Longhorn also owns a massive truck nicknamed "Bessie Mae" which is outfitted with all kinds of devices and can fly. Turk voiced by Matt Landers — Longhorn's henchman. Originally a normal human, he briefly gained powers similar to Freakazoid's by exploiting the Pinnacle chip's flaw. Very detailed studies have proven that canines in general have the emotional capacity of 3 year old humans. This is quite telling. Do you have kids? Or have ever spent even an hour with a toddler? They are super hyper, highly inquisitive and importantly are never happy just 'being' for long periods of time. Dogs are the same. Boxers can become hyper if they have nothing to focus on. Just left to 'be', they can get bored and have trouble knowing what to do, so they run around… they quite literally can end up bouncing off the walls in an overly hyper state with no real tools to calm themselves down. He tried all day and evening to urinate and nothing would come out. The next day, September 11th was his 9th Birthday. He was on my lap that evening for a couple of hours and slept as I petted him. He felt that it was time. We were both sobbing uncontrollably and were with Irish as he took his final breath. He went quickly and we were with him but I will never forget that. It was horrible and it was agonizingly painful for both of us. Even to the end he was kissing us and wagging his tail. I walked around the first day numb, in shock and crying. I cried the next day and the day after that. Our home feels empty without him and our other dog Bailey kept looking for Irish the first few days. He misses him too. Irish was my first dog and I loved him so much. I had no idea of the pain and sadness I would feel upon his passing. It is overwhelming. I read as much as I could about grieving over the loss of a dog, searching for anything that would help me, to ease the pain. I talked a lot about it with Tim and with friends, I cried, I screamed that first day alone in my car with the windows up, and it all helped. It helped to talk about it with friends who cared and understood — who were also dog lovers. It helped to cry and it helped to scream. Tim and I talk about Irish all the time and we miss him — he filled the house with his presence. With each passing day the pain has gotten better. I try to keep busy and I try hard to remember happy memories and not the memories of his last day. I can talk about Irish without crying now, I can smile at funny things he did and I can smile when I look at all the pictures I have taken of him over the years. I miss him so much and I think I probably will always miss him but the pain is slowly lessening and I can now laugh again. As part of grieving, I read a suggestion to write a tribute. When I would let him outside he would run and run and run around the yard going faster and faster. It seemed he had an endless supply of energy. He loved to play ball and was really, really good at it! We would throw the ball high in the air and he could catch it out of the air. One of his many nick names was ball ball doggie. He could play ball for hours. When we were inside the house he was always bringing us balls or toys to play tug with. I would chase him around the dining room table and house and try to catch him. When I got a new cell phone and tried out the different ring tones for some reason that made him howl … it was so funny when he did that. Irish loved flowers! When we were outside often times we would see Irish smelling the flowers! When I was gardening I had to make sure I kept my gardening gloves close by otherwise he would pick them up in his mouth and run with them. He was such a clown and made us laugh. He was always at the door to greet me with his wagging tail when I came home. I would often tease Tim that Irish was happier to see me than he was! Irish followed me around the house and always wanted to go outside with me — he loved laying in the sun and walks around the neighborhood. He was so full of life and energy. As Irish got older he slowed down but still liked to play. He was fascinated with our laser light and would chase it and try to pounce on it. It was hysterical to watch. He was a great companion to our other dog Bailey and the two became very close. He and Bailey chased squirrels in the yard. It was comical to watch because before they ran after the squirrels Irish would look at Bailey, and Bailey would look at Irish it was their sign and off running they would go to chase the squirrels! Irish would bark at everyone that walked by letting them know he was here! He was very protective of me. Irish was so loving and sensitive to my feelings. One day I had been upset and I was sitting near him crying, he came over and put his paws on my shoulders and looked at me as if to comfort me.
