It is no wonder that they are considered the most popular dog in America and most other parts of the world. I am particularly fond of the rarer aesthetic variations of the Lab breed. It all has to do with a temperature-dependent enzyme called tyrosinase. Tyrosinase helps to regulate the production of melanin, the substance responsible for pigmentation in the skin, hair, and eyes.
