Why Cross Chow Chow with Poodle?? What other things do those mixes bring in the breed? Poodles, Goldens, and Labradors are all hunting dogs with high energy. Breeding two hunting breeds only increases the high energy both breeds already have, as well as increase the chances the dog could have separation anxiety since many of those breeds are prone to that. Most people buy these types of doodles but have neither the time nor the energy to give them the exercise they need. Poodles also need a lot of daily companionship. They suffer from loneliness and separation anxiety if left alone too much. Goldens: These dogs can be a bit needy. Not needy in the sense of maintenance, but attention. Since Golden Retrievers suffer from separation anxiety , they need to be in a household where they will have constant stimulation and people around. While this is often just an aspect of their temperament, and something often loved, it can become problematic. Goldendoodle are good dogs but not for everyone, preferably for active Family. Since the Chow Chow is not a destructive breed and independant, it can make a dog more balanced and that will not suffer from anxiety and without the tendency to destroy your furniture. They are your best resource. If a Chow Chow Mix takes after their Chow parent, they will be a large, fluffy dog with a protective instinct and an independent nature. Chow Chows tend to be naturally aloof and independent dogs. They do bond with their humans and are affectionate with them, but they also like to do their own thing. Because they have a protective instinct, they are naturally suspicious of strangers. As such, socialization and training are essential. If the other parent breed has similar traits, then you can likely expect the same from a Chow Chow Mix. However, the other parent breed will likely introduce other potential traits in the mix, so you do want to ask the breeder about them. It's left open. He goes in during the day when I'm at work but I leave him out at night. He fusses once in but goes in pretty easily. He barks for a few minutes after going in his crate and if new ppl or dogs come in the house. We have not met any kids. However the home he came from had kids. Sunny seems to be doing better with eating. We feed in morning and night. We have added wet food and joint supplements to his food. His hips pop. They ride great in the car. Sunny does bark at people and dogs he sees in the yard or house who are familiar but ultimately wants to meet them and play. Sunny does also do this on walks but has become a lot better with training and exposure. He did good getting in a bath. Wants to drink out of the shower hose. No thunderstorms yet. Sunny definitely needs training. Group training would be good for Sunny. He knows sit but doesn't always want to sit! We have introduced, stay, lay, leave it used a lot on walks to help with barking with me which is essentially heel and come. He has not mastered any of it. He does great walking with a gentle lead. RR requires most puppies and some high every adult dogs to live in a home with a fenced in yard. All animals adopted from RR will be fixed before the adoption is complete.
